life easier, safer and more comfortable. The Sltz Trio+ Homeli is a Domesc Personal Homeli
that complies with Machinery Direcve 2006/42/EC. To ensure connued sasfacon with your
Sltz Trio+, please always follow these instrucons:
• Read this user manual carefully before using your Sltz Trio+ Homeli. This will help ensure
safe, easy and correct operaon of the li.
• In the event of malfuncon, please refer to the chapter “Troubleshoong” rst. Potenal
failure may be caused by the li's safety devices. It is very likely that you can correct these
issues quickly and easily yourself. We are happy to provide phone support if needed. To get
in touch with us, please call our freephone customer service number on 0330 222 0334.
• Even a solidly-built and technically low-maintenance li such as the Sltz Trio+Homeli
should be maintained on a regular basis; once a year is ideal. This maintenance ensures
connued safety, and increases the long-term reliability of the li.
• Maintenance of your li is even easier if you sign up for a regular warranty agreement to
extend the life of your Sltz Trio+. This is oponal, however we do recommend it in order to
keep your li in opmal condion.
• We strongly recommend that you have all service and maintenance work to your Sltz
Trio+, carried out by an authorised Sltz service technician.
• You should never use the li in the event of a re.

Introducon
Introducon | Sltz Trio+ Homeli

1. The li is motorised with moving parts. Only those who have been shown how to
operate it and who understand that they are responsible for starng, travelling in
and stopping the li safely - and have been cauoned on the potenal hazards -
should operate it.
2. The li is not a toy. Children under 14 years old should not be permied to
play with, or inside, the li. Children should only operate the li if under adult
supervision and only use it for its intended purpose.
3. Much like a stair case, this li can pose a parcular risk to small children when
on the upper oor, without adult supervision. In parcular, when the li is called
from the lower oor while a small child is on the upper oor, the child could
potenally crawl into the parally lowered li (if the li has the half door opon
ed). The safety light barriers stop the li ride as soon as there is an obstrucon
detected in the entrance area. However, that system does not protect a child from
potenally falling into the parally lowered li. It is the user’s responsibility to
ensure that such a situaon does not occur.

The Sltz Trio+ Homeli has been equipped with a number of safety and emergency
features to ensure safe usage at all mes. Nevertheless, it is essenal that the li is
operated in accordance with the user manual to ensure that no accidents occur.

Safety Features
The numerous safety features have been designed to ensure safe and comfortable li
travel at all mes. They prevent - or stop - the li from moving in case of a malfuncon
or in the event of an object or person blocking the operang radius.
In order to guarantee this and to protect the li against potenal failure, all safety
features must be acvated before operang the li.
It is important that you are familiar with all safety features.
Safety Sensors in
Li Car Roof and Car Floor
There are safety sensors in the Li Car oor
and Li Car roof which will stop the li
immediately if it comes into contact with
any obstacle. The li can then only proceed
in the opposite direcon. The journey can
be connued as soon as the obstrucon has
been cleared.
Locking Mechanism
and Light Curtain
The door's locking mechanism ensures that
the Li Car door stays closed while the li is
moving. Sensors check - even before moving
- whether the door has been closed. A key
for the li door is provided to open the
safety catch and let passengers exit in an
emergency situaon.
All lis are equipped with a light curtain.
This safety light curtain creates a barrier
across the entrance of the li and either
prevents, or stops, the li from moving
further if there is an obstrucon blocking
the safety light curtain. To nofy the user
that the safety light curtain is obstructed,
a white warning light will be illuminated
on the control panel inside the cabin.

Addional Safety Sensors
Balance sensors will stop the Li Car if a
problem exists with either of the li ropes.
Overload sensors will determine whether
the li is overloaded prior to moving. To
nofy the user that the li is overloaded,
the related area on the control panel inside
the cabin will ash. (See page 6).
The Slack Rope sensor detects if the li
ropes are slack and will prevent the li car
from aempng to travel any further.
In the unlikely event that the regular limit
switches should fail, there are auxiliary
switches located above and beneath the Li
Car. If these should fail at the same me,
there are further back up switches that will
stop the li in an emergency. Once these
emergency stops are acvated, the li will
stop unl the incident has been invesgated
by a service technician, and the problem has
been corrected.
Emergency Features
The li is equipped with an emergency stop
buon. Pressing the red emergency stop
buon whilst travelling in the li will stop
the li immediately and trigger the alarm.
Therefore, this buon should only be used
in extreme situaons; such as the li failing
to stop when the control buon is released.
The emergency system must be reset once
the cause of the incident has been resolved.
A key switch prevents operaon while the
li is in “o” mode. This switch also resets
the controls aer an emergency stop.

There is a phone handset located
underneath the control, panel inside the
cabin, which will enable immediate contact
in case of emergency.
Safety Brake, Motor
and Gear Brake
In the event of any rope related issues, an
integrated brake system will stop the li. The
safety brake stops the li immediately, in the
unlikely event of a hoist rope failure. If any of
these safety features are acvated, they must
be disengaged and reset by a Sltz Homeli
service technician.
Emergency Power Supply
In the event of a power failure occurring whilst
the li is in operaon, the emergency power
supply and emergency lights will acvate
automacally. The li can be moved down to
the lower oor on emergency power by using
the normal li controls. If this happens, the
buon which moves the li to the upper oor
will be disabled. All safety features remain
fully operaonal while lowering the li on
emergency power.
To ensure that the emergency power supply
is charged at all mes, the li's power plug
should never be disconnected from the mains.

Li Operaon
Using the Li from Inside
the Car
1. When entering the li, the lights come on
automacally. Stand (or sit) in the li facing
the opening.
2. Close the door and make sure that you
are not obstrucng the safety light curtain
across the li entrance. If obstructed, the
li will not travel and a buzzing sound will
indicate connued obstrucon of the safety
light curtain. If you are in the entrance area,
there will also be a white light illuminated
indicang a light curtain obstrucon.
3. If the load is greater than specied for
this li (250kg) the overload light will be
illuminated. The li will not move unl the
weight is reduced.
4. Ensure any passengers or items travelling
with you are fully contained within the li
ca r.
5. Select the desired direction (see image of
control panel on page 6). Depress and hold
the appropriate button for travelling up or
down. The lift will move while the button is
depressed.
6. Hold the buon down unl the li stops
at its desnaon.
7. If you see an unsafe situaon, release
the buon and either wait unl it is safe to
connue or return to the oor from which
you came.
Calling the Li using the
Remote Control
You can posion the two remote controls
anywhere around your home and these
allow you to control the li, and to call it
when it's parked on the other level. The
remote control can be used to move the li
to the desired oor.
1. If possible, rst check to make sure that
nobody is inside the li trying to operate it
from within.
2. Press the call buon on the remote
control and keep it pressed unl the li has
come to a stop on the desired oor. Please
note: you can stop the li at any me by
releasing the buon.
3. If the li encounters obstrucon when
being called either up or down, it will stop.
If this occurs, reverse the direcon the li
is travelling in and return it to the starng
point. Clear the obstrucon, and as soon
as the obstacle has been removed from
the operaon area, the li will connue its
journey.

Troubleshoong
If the li remains inoperable aer following all instrucons, use the key switch to turn the li o and
then back on. The control unit will then perform a check of all the electrical circuits and reset them if
necessary. This is usually all that is required to reset the li and restore normal operaon.
Note - if the li is plugged into an RCD socket the li may also need a push buon reset (if li has a
raised buon), prior to being operable.
If the li will not operate correctly aer reseng with the key, please contact a service technician.

Supplementary Informaon
WARNING To ensure that the emergency power within the li is charged at all mes, the power
plug of the Sltz Trio+ Homeli should never be disconnected from the mains supply.
Intended use The Sltz Homeli is authorised for the exclusive purpose of
transporng the intended individuals only

Sltz Homelis are machines comprising a car which travels vercally between two guide rails.
The homeli travels between designated oors through an aperture created in the home. The
Duo and Trio Homelis can serve oors (up to 4.5m apart) with either a single car entry point
or a double entry through-car conguraon. The Duo and Trio Homelis are non-automac
lis, meaning that the user must use constant pressure to control the li at all mes. The Duo
Homeli has a rated capacity of 170kg; the Trio Homeli has a rated load capacity of 250kg.

Technical construcon les are available for the Sltz Duo and Trio Homelis. They are
compiled and maintained by the Head of Engineering at the above address. The Sltz Homelis
