Gas Fire Pit
Installation Instructions
Equipped with the Crossfire™ Brass Burner System by
Warming Trends™
WARNING: This re pit is for outdoor use only. This re
pit can produce carbon monoxide. Never use in an
enclosed space such as a home, tent or camper.
WARNING: Do not store gasoline or any ammable
liquids or vapors near the re pit.
WARNING: If not installed and maintained correctly this
product can cause property damage or injury. Do not
alter the provided equipment in any way.
WARNING: IF YOU SMELL GAS: (1) Turn o the gas to the
unit. (2) Put out all open ames (3) If the smell connues
move away from the re pit and call the Fire Department.
SAFETY
Never use any fuel , solid or gas, other than what is in-
tended by the burner. The re pit can not be converted
for use with other fuel sources.
The re pit can become very hot when in use. Keep away
from structures furniture, draperies or anything that
could be damaged by heat or ame.
WARNING
Do not place any object on the re pit. Never place any
ammable materials near the re pit when in use.
Do not leave young children alone while the re pit is in
use. Maintain adult supervision at all mes to avoid any
accidents or injury.
Keep the area around the r pit clean and uncluered to
avoid injuries. Clear the area of any trip hazards.
Keep all combusble materials away from the re pit
WARNING: Use your re pit responsibly. Check with your
local government for local codes and regulaons before
installing your re pit.
If a propane tank is used be sure to place the propane
tank at a safe distance away from the re pit.
The Crossre™ Burner is ICC cered and compiles with
ANSI Z21.97/CSA 2.41-2014 Outdoor Decorave Gas Ap-
pliances Standards.
WARNING: For all gas connecons that require thread
sealant use only products that are resistant to gases.
Apply to male pipe ngs only. DO NOT USE ON FLARED
FITTINGS

2) Lay the base course of wall stones around the perimeter of the re ring. The base course will in-
clude two straight wall units, the Drain Block, the Valve Block and four le hand corner units. The
wall units should measure approximately 40” across. Measure in mulple places to ensure the re
pit is square.
3) Dry lay your second layer of wall stones on top of the rst layer. The second layer will include four
straight wall units, and four right hand corner units. Measure again to conrm the re pit is square.
Aer you are sased with your placement, pick up one block at a me, apply a landscape block
adhesive and replace the block to it’s posion.
1) Before beginning the installaon of your re pit it is important to take note of the provided parts
list located on the last page of these instrucons.
These instrucons are intended to be used in conjuncon with the Warming Trends™

6) Run the provided Propane Supply Line through the void in the Drain Block and connect to the Pro-
pane Male Flare Fing (No thread sealant is needed for are ngs). Tighten with a wrench.
5) Aach the Propane Male Flare Fing, provided with your propane supply line, to the Key Valve us-
ing thread sealant and a wrench.
(Once the Natural Gas supply has been connected to the key valve move to Step 8 . For
Propane connue to step 6.)
4) Now you can begin installing the Burner. Use a pipe wrench to ghten the 1/2” coupling to the 1/2”
pipe extending from the back of the Valve Block. Then thread the Key Valve into the coupling and
ghten with a wrench. (Note: it is not necessary to apply any thread sealant as no gas will be run-
ning through these connecons.)

8) Once the Male to Male Flare Fing is securely in place, you can now aach the provided 36” Flex
Line to the are ng. (Keep in mind that no thread sealant is needed for are ngs) Tighten with
a wrench.
7) Apply thread sealant to one of the Male to Male Flare Fings and aach to the outgoing end of the
Key Valve. Tighten with a wrench.
9) Next use the Male to Male Flare Fing and apply thread sealant for the connecon to the burner.
Then aach the ng to the boom of the burner and ghten with a wrench.

11) The installer is responsible for checking all connecons for any leaks. It is recommended that a
leak test is performed before placing the cap stones on your re pit. If any leaks are detected re-
solve the problem before moving on to the next step. Connue to test connecons unl you are
certain there are no leaks in the system.
10) Aach the 36” Flex Line to the ared ng that is now aached to the burner. Tighten using a
wrench. (Remember that no thread sealant is needed for ared ngs.)
12) Complete the assembly of your re pit by placing the burner on top of the modular wall blocks.
Then place and align the four capstones so that they are evenly spaced.
13) Add the provided lava rock to the burner. It is recommended that the lava rock be applied around
the burner and then gently moved into place to cover the burner. This is to avoid any unwanted
debris from falling into the burner jets.

14) Finally, use the provided 12” Valve Key to slowly turn the Key Valve on while holding a long match
or lighter above the burner unl it ignites.
**Remember to test all connecons for leaks before igning your re pit**
