About your BFRV55
The SunDanzer BFRV55 is a World Health Organizon pre-qualid Solar Direct-Drive Baer-Free Refrigerator
designed for vaccine storage. It connects directlto the photovoltaic (PV) solar ar and requires no baeries
or charge controllers to operate. Temperatures are maintained using a proprietarphase-change material,
which ensures the vaccine compartment alwas sts between 2° C and 8° C.
East/West Array
One of the innovve features of the SunDanzer direct drive sstem is an east/west orientaon of the solar
modules (available separat). Two 100-wamodules face east, and two 100-w modules face west. This
orientaon ensures maximum compressor run me. For further informaon, please see the solar installaon
manual.

cool unit.
Allow the appliance at least 3 das from ini turn-on to
become cold.
Verifthe cabinet has adequate vaon around the
sidewalls allowing it to transfer heat prop. (See
Inon secon).
Verifthe ambient temperature is not exceeding the rated
temperature range of 5°F (-15°C) to 113°F (45°C).
Verifrefrigerant level is ~198g.Check for refrigerant leaks.
Compressor is connected to power,
but not operang.
Check if 19 to 22V DC is present at the appliance. If not,
check all connecons.
Check the polaritis correct; “+” is connected to “+”, and “-“
to “-“.
VerifPV sstem is assembled improp.
VerifECU connecons are correct.
Check for low power voltage.
The lid will not open.
Ensure the lock is not engaged.
Check if the lid has just been opened. If so, leave for a few
minutes to allow the air pressure to equalize and tragain.
DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE ON THE INSET HANDLE TO
OPEN THE LID!
Digital Thermostat is blinking, but
