READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE.
WARNING:
ACCESSIBLE PARTS MAY BE VERY HOT. KEEP YOUNG CHILDREN AWAY.
This appliance gets very hot. Take special care when children or elderly people
are present. Particular care must be taken when removing the fat tray. Hot fat can
cause serious injury.
DO NOT MOVE THE APPLIANCE DURING USE.
TURN OFF THE GAS SUPPLY AT THE GAS CONTAINER AFTER USE.
Turn off all burner control valves after use.
ANY MODIFICATION TO THE APPLIANCE MAY BE DANGEROUS.
THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE KEPT AWAY FROM FLAMMABLE MATERIALS.
There should be no combustible material less than 250 mm from the sides of the
barbecue and less than 1500 mm above the cooking surface of the barbecue. The
appliance is designed so that heat will not affect the wooden trolley.
Protective gloves should be worn if hot parts or utensils are to be handled.
People with flammable clothing such as nylon should keep well away from the
barbecue when alight.
DO NOT allow unburnt gas to build up.
In the event of a gas leak, TURN OFF GAS SUPPLY AT THE CYLINDER.
In the event of a fat fire, DO NOT DOUSE WITH WATER. Turn off gas supply at
the cylinder.
Every time the cylinder is reconnected, do a leak test. (Refer to page 13).
Never leave burners on high for more than 10 minutes unless actually cooking.
NATIONAL AUTHORITY REQUIREMENTS
All gas fitting work, service and repairs (including work on any part of the gas
circuit) can only be performed by an authorised gas fitter in accordance with
national regulations. All replacement parts must meet CE specifications.

GAS TYPES
The barbecues are both category I3+(28-30/37) and I3B/P(30) appliances, designed to
operate on Butane at 28/30mbar and Propane at 37mbar. Gas consumption, pressures
and injector orifice sizes are shown in the following tables:
Note: The size of the injector orifice is stamped on one of the hexagon faces (eg. ‘100’
for 1.00 mm injector)
GAS SUPPLY CYLINDER
LP gas supply cylinders used with this appliance must have a cylinder capacity of at
least 6 kg if Propane, 13 kg if Butane.
GAS REGULATOR
A gas regulator conforming to the CE national standard must be fitted to the gas cylinder
to provide the appropriate gas pressure. DO NOT use this appliance with an adjustable
regulator.
WARNING:
NEVER ATTEMPT TO OPEN OR ADJUST
THE REGULATOR.
Consult your gas dealer if you think the regulator is not working properly.
SUPPLY HOSE
A hose conforming to the national standard must be connected at one end to the regula-
tor outlet and at the other to the barbecue inlet nipple using hose clips. The hose length
must not exceed 1.5 m.
NOTE. The inlet nipple supplied will fit either 6, 8 or 10mm inside diameter hoses.

Step 1
1). Attach castors to the bottom of the R/H leg
assembly .
2). Tighten castors securely using hex nut wrench
provided in parts pack.

Step 2
1). Assemble bottom shelf and R/H leg assembly
by using two bolts . (Hand tighten
only at this point).
2). Assemble bottom shelf and L/H leg assembly
by using two bolts . Tighten all four
bolts at this time.

Step 3
1). Insert the wheel axle through the hole
located near the bottom of left leg assembly.
2). Insert the wheel and wheels washers
on the wheel axle ,secure using
wheel split pin as illustrated.
3). Snap wheel hubcaps onto the outside of
wheel as illustrated.

Step 4
1). Attach the door frame assembly to the front of
BBQ trolley as illustrated.
Note : There is no bolt required for
securing the front door assembly, the front
door assembly is locked into place by the
left and right side skirt plates.

1). Place the L/H skirt plate on top of L/H leg
assembly , ensure that the notch is
facing up, slide down over upright legs of the
L/H leg assembly .

1). Place the R/H skirt plate on top of R/H leg
assembly , ensure that the two tabs are on
lower skirt edge and slide down over upright legs
of the R/H leg assembly.

Step 8.
1). Attach the rear cabinet panel to the rear BBQ
frame, align the holes for rear cabinet panel and
rear BBQ legs.
2). Secure using four bolts . .

1). Attach side table assembly to R/H frame as-
sembly, slide side table assembly onto front/rear
legs of the R/H frame with a gentle downward
pressure.

Step 7.
1). Attach upper gas cylinder hook to the
cross bar, align the holes and secure using two
bolts .
2). Attach lower gas cylinder hook to the
bottom shelf cross member , align the holes
and secure using two bolts .

Step 10
1). Position BBQ body into cabinet ensuring that
it fits securely onto locating brackets. Ensure that
gas hose runs through to the side burner without
any kinks.
2). Attach side burner assembly to L/H frame
assembly, slide side burner assembly onto
front/rear legs of the L/H frame with a gentle
downward pressure.
3). Remove transit clips as shown
4). Once all parts are securely fastened, connect gas
regulator to gas cylinder. For safety, before initial
use of BBQ, please refer to the beginning of this
manual and ensure that proper gas regulator
attachment and leak test are performed.

Should the inside of the BBQ become soiled, the ancillary
components can be removed for cleaning as shown.
1). Remove Griddle and Grill plates .
2). Remove flame tamer with briquettes .
3). With the fat tray in place, clean the burners and
heat shield.
4). After cleaning, empty the fat tray of any scrapings,
replace ancillary components and ensure the flame
tamer is positioned correctly on the right side of the
BBQ.
5). Replace both the grill and griddle. The grill plate
should be placed on the right side of the BBQ.
6). Slide in the fat tray.
Note : Line the fat tray with aluminum foil before use.

WARNING: THERE MUST BE NO NAKED FLAMES IN THE AREA.
• Lift the gas cylinder and tilting the bottom of cylinder away from you, hook the
bottom rim over the lower cylinder bracket as shown in the diagram.
• Hook the hole of cylinder top rim over the top cylinder hook and check that the
cylinder is properly secured.
• If changing the cylinder, ensure that the cylinder valve is turned OFF before
disconnecting the regulator / hose assembly at the cylinder.
• INSTALLING THE GAS CYLINDER
WARNING: CYLINDER MUST ALWAYS BE UPRIGHT DURING USE. UNDER
NO CIRCUMSTANCES MUST AN LP GAS CYLINDER BE PLACED
DIRECTLY UNDER THE BARBECUE.
• Ensure all burner valves on the front panel are in the OFF position.
• When fitting the hose / regulator to the gas cylinder, ensure that it is free from
torsional (twisting) stress, kinks or sharp bends.
• Protect the hose from dripping grease and do not allow it to touch any hot surfaces.
• Attach the regulator to the gas cylinder.
• Refer to the instructions supplied with the regulator for details regarding fitting.
• Test for gas leaks. Do a leak test each time the cylinder is installed, whether it has
been refilled or not (see leak testing section). If the hose shows deterioration or
damage, leak test the entire outer surface while under pressure. Replace at first
sign of leak or age cracking. Remember to turn the cylinder valve OFF before
removing hose.

• Attach the hose to the manifold inlet nipple and tighten onto the manifold. Ensure
that all connecting threads and surfaces are undamaged, clean and free from oil and
dirt. When fitting the hose ensure that it is free from torsional (twisting) stress, kinks
or sharp bends. Protect the hose from dripping grease and do not allow it to touch
any hot surfaces, or sharp edges.
• Attach the regulator to the gas cylinder. Refer to the instructions supplied with the
regulator for details regarding fitting.
• Test for gas leaks. Do a leak test each time the cylinder is installed, whether it has
been refilled or not. Check all other joints at least once a year. If the hose shows de-
terioration or damage, leak test the entire outer surface while under pressure. Re-
place at first sign of leak or age cracking. Remember to turn the cylinder valve OFF
before removing hose.
TESTING FOR LEAKS
• Ensure burner knobs are OFF and open the cylinder valve.
• Use a solution of half detergent washing up liquid and half water for leak testing.
Brush solution on each connection and check for bubbles.
• If a leak is present, tighten the loose joint.
• If leak persists contact an authorised agent.

• LIGHTING THE BARBECUE
• Ensure the barbecue has been set up correctly.
• Check for signs of blockage, hose deterioration and gas leaks.
• Open the cooking hood.
• Before each use, line fat tray with clean aluminium foil. Ensure all corners are
covered to eliminate fat leakage.
• Ensure burner knobs are OFF.
• Open the cylinder valve.
• After attaching a new cylinder, air must be purged from the gas system by
opening the cylinder valve and turning the furthest burner knob from the cylinder
to HIGH for 10 -15 seconds.

• To ignite the griddle or char grill depress appropriate knob and turn to HIGH and
release. Allow gas to flow for 1 second and then push the appropriate igniter
button repeatedly at 1 second intervals. If ignition does not occur within 10 sec-
onds turn knob OFF and allow unburnt gas to dissipate before attempting igni-
tion again. If ignition continues to fail refer to the ‘Troubleshooting’ section.
• If an additional burner in the same compartment is to be lit, turn the adjacent
knob to high and wait for ignition. If the chosen burner is not in the same com-
partment, repeat the previous step using the appropriate igniter.
• To light the barbecue manually, remove fat tray and turn any knob to ‘HIGH’
whilst igniting the appropriate burner with a match from beneath the barbecue.
• When lit, replace the fat tray.
WARNING: IF THE BURNER MAKES A HISSING SOUND WHEN LIT, IT MAY
BE BURNING INSIDE. TURN BURNER OFF, ALLOW TO COOL
AND TRY AGAIN.

• CLEANING THE BARBECUE
• STORAGE
• COOKING
• AFTER COOKING
• Painted surfaces can be cleaned using a household detergent or cleaner. It is
advisable to test cleaners on a small section of the appliance first. Excess fat and
meat scraps can be scraped off the cooking plates while the barbecue is still
warm.
• NEVER use paint thinners or similar solvents for cleaning and NEVER douse hot
surfaces with water.
• Immediately after cooking and while barbecue is still warm, remove scraps from
cooking plates with a scraper and wipe barbecue with a rag.
• When finished, make sure all burner knobs are turned OFF.
• TURN OFF THE GAS SUPPLY AT THE CYLINDER.
• Once the barbecue is cool replace the weather cover and discard aluminium foil in
fat tray.
• A fairly protected location is desirable for pleasant and efficient cooking. Strong
winds will drastically reduce cooking efficiency. Allow 10 minutes for burners to
heat cooking area. A little cooking fat (or olive oil) on the griddle will prevent
sticking. Cooking time for normal thickness steaks on the grill is approximately 15
minutes. Turn burners down a little when full heat is not required and to LOW
when not cooking.
• When using cooking vessels, ensure that they will not crack as they are heated.
Vessels are not to exceed the size of the cooking plates, or 25 kg, whichever is
smaller.
• During cooking, fat will drip through to the tray underneath. Do not allow excess
fat to build up in the fat tray.
• When the appliance is not in use the cylinder valve must be turned OFF and the
appliance and cylinder together must be stored outdoors in a well ventilated area.
It is permissible to store the appliance (but not the cylinder) indoors. Ensure a
small amount of fat or oil is on the cooking plates to prevent rust.

• When the gas cylinder is disconnected, replace the protective cap on the valve
outlet.
• For extended storage it is suggested that the primary air ports of the burners be
covered against the penetration of insects or vermin. Also a vinyl or canvas cover
can be placed over the appliance.

• MAINTENANCE
It is recommended that after any prolonged storage and at the commencement of
the summer season, both burner and ignitor maintenance be undertaken as
follows:
To clean and inspect the igniter box:
• Remove 5/32” fixing bolt and nut (1).
• Hold the igniter box (2) and push the igniter bracket (3) down until the barbs (4) on the
bracket clear the holes in the igniter box.
• Push the igniter box (2) towards the back of the barbecue. Do not remove the box from
the barbecue as it is attached by the wire.
• Hold the box against a metal surface on the barbecue and repeatedly press the igniter
button on the front panel. A spark should be visible inside the box.
• To re-install the igniter box, push it onto the bracket so that the two slots engage the
barbs on the bracket and replace 5/32” fixing bolt and nut (1).
• Ensure that the igniter box is seating on the underside of the burners. If it isn’t bend the
igniter bracket up slightly.
To clean and inspect the burners:
• Remove the igniter box (2) as described above.
• Remove the spring clip (8) on the rear underside of the burner.
• Lift the burner (9) up and towards the back of the barbecue, off the gas cock.
• Inspect the port holes (5), primary air inlet (6) and mixing throat (7) for any signs of
blockage. Clean out with compressed air or a length of wire.
• Wire-brush the outside of the burner to remove rust and dirt.
• Replace the burner and igniter box.
• It is most important that the burner be replaced correctly, without misaligning the gas
cock and hence the gas injector.
• After assembly check operation before replacing griddle, flame tamer or grill by igniting
all burners and verifying proper ignition of burners.
