IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read these instr ctions.
2. Keep these instr ctions.
3. Heed all warnings.
4. Follow all instr ctions.
5. Do not se this apparat s near water.
6.Clean only with a dry cloth.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the
man fact rer’s instr ctions.
8. Do not install near any heat so rces s ch as radiators, heat registers, stoves,
or other apparat s (incl ding amplifiers) that prod ce heat.
9. Do not defeat the safety p rpose of the polarised or gro nding-type pl g. A
polarised pl g has two blades with one wider than the other. A gro nding type
pl g has two blades and a third gro nding prong. The wide blade or the third
prong are provided for yo r safety. If the provided pl g does not fit into yo r
o tlet, cons lt an electrician for replacement of the obsolete o tlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched partic larly at pl gs,
convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparat s.
11. Only se attachments/accessories specified by the man fact rer.
12. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the
man fact rer, or sold with the apparat s. When a cart is sed, se ca tion when
moving the cart/apparat s combination to avoid inj ry from tip-over.
13. Unpl g this apparat s d ring lightning storms or when n sed for long
periods of time.
14. Refer all servicing to q alified service personnel. Servicing is req ired when
the apparat s has been damaged in any way, s ch as power-s pply cord or pl g
is damaged, liq id has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparat s, the
apparat s has been exposed to rain or moist re, does not operate normally, or
has been dropped.
The exclamation point within an eq ilateral triangle and "WARNING" are
intended to alert the ser to the presence of important operating or
servicing instr ctions. Fail re to heed the instr ctions will res lt in severe inj ry
or death.
The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an eq ilateral triangle,
is intended to alert the ser to the presence of n-ins lated ‘dangero s
voltage’ within the prod ct’s enclos re that may be of s fficient magnit de to
constit te a risk of electricshock to persons.
Apparat s with Class I constr ction m st be connected to a mains socket o tlet
with a protective earthing connection.

2) O t Recording +4db Bal. XLR (2+/3-/1Com.)
CAUTION!!! DO NOT CONNECT TO THIS OUTPUT + 48V PHANTOM
POWER FROM A MIXER, PREAMPLIFIER OR AUDIO INTERFACE. IT
MAY CAUSE DAMAGE !!!
3) Microphone inp t balanced XLR (2 + / 3- / 1Com.) Selects when the inp t
mode switch (see No. 5 Front panel) is in "M" position.
CAUTION!!! The phantom + 48V is present when the led on (see No. 2
Front panel)
4) Universal effect loop ret rn for all standards professional effects and
g itar pedals +4db Bal.XLR (2+/3-/1Com.) jack nbalanced. –10/-20db
selected from the front panel (see No.7 Front panel)
5) Universal effect loop send +4db Bal.XLR (2+/3-/1Com.) jack nbalanced.
–10/-20db selected from the front panel (see No.7 Front panel)
CAUTION!!! DO NOT CONNECT TO THIS OUTPUT + 48V PHANTOM
POWER FROM A MIXER, PREAMPLIFIER OR AUDIO INTERFACE. IT
MAY CAUSE DAMAGE !!!
6) Inp t LINE or HI Z + 4db Bal.XLR (2 + / 3- / 1Com.) When the jack is
inserted into the front Hi Z inp t the XLR is a tomatically disconnected
7) Gro nd Lift. When in the LIFT position, there is no connection with the
chassis gro nd.
8) Mains inp t AC IN and FUSE. Connect a standard, gro nded IEC power
cable. The nit can be damaged if the wrong inp t voltage is connected.
Replace the f se with the same rating and type only. If the f se is blown
repeatedly, contact JTJ Electronics service

IV. Tips & tricks
REAM ING and other advantages with LOO SEND output
With the insert yo can add a g itar pedal s ch as a distortion to any so rce
(Mic/Line/Hi Z) and activate it with the insert switch on the front panel. This preamp
has been designed to "face" any type of so rce: st dio/rack effects, m sical
instr ments, piezo pick p, home eq alizers and g itar pedals.
The preamp let yo to Reamp already recorded signal (connect from the
g itar/bass amplifier and record it again). Reamping can be done in real time since
the XLR +4dB sender is in fact no-effect signal. Then yo can record the two
signals separately. For the same reason, yo can se the XLR send as Dry o tp t
and OUT recording as wet o tp t with the effects. For example, record witho t
effect on a channel and one with the compressor in another channel at the same
time. There are plenty of possibilities .The sky is the limit here...
IN and OUT connections
–leave the microphone connected, this inp t is selected by (SW 5 front panel.).
–leave the so rce connected to the LINE inp t. When yo connect yo r
instr ment to the Hi Z inp t it will a tomatically disangage the LINE inp t.

Record an instrument in two tracks, one without effect, and one with the
distortion or other fx pedal:
Connect and Send Jack to Pedal Inp t and Pedal O t to Ret rn Jack. O t
+4dB (recording) to the 1 LINE inp t of the a dio interface.
(DO NOT CONNECT TO THIS OUTPUT + 48V PHANTOM)
Connect Send, send XLR to the second channel LINE inp t of a dio interface
(DO NOT CONNECT TO THIS OUTPUT + 48V PHANTOM)
Switch the SW 7 to -20dB or -10dB ( s ally for passive instr ments and amplifier
inp ts for electric instr ment are -20dB, b t yo can try -10dB if yo get a better
signal noise ratio and distortion)
Set SW8 (see front panel) insert to ON. Set SW5 in H position (Hi Z)
Pl g the jack cable to the inp t 4. Adj st the Gain (3 at front panel) ntil the green
and yellow led will appear. Be carefo l to not make the red diode light p.
