1. INTRODUCTION TO SUUNTO PC POD
Suunto PC POD is a wireless data receiver, which enables you to transfer
data between Suunto sports instruments and your PC. You can then moni-
tor and analyze your performance using the following Suunto software:
• Analyzing:
Suunto Training Manager; Suunto t6
Suunto Training Manager Lite; Suunto t3 and Suunto t4
• Monitoring:
Suunto Monitor; Suunto ANT transmitter belt, which is included in the
Suunto t3, t4 and t6 packages.
2. INSTALLING SUUNTO SOFTWARE
1. Insert the Suunto Software CD-ROM into the drive.
2. Wait for the installation to begin and follow the installation instructions.
NOTE: If the installation does not start automatically, click Start --> Run, and
type D:\setup.exe.
3. Depending on your needs, select either Suunto Training Manager or Suunto
Training Manager Lite.
NOTE: The latest updates of Suunto software can be downloaded from
www.suunto.com. Follow the link to Customer Service.
Check the website regularly to get the best functionality from your Suunto sports
instruments.
3. ATTACHING SUUNTO PC POD
Take off the cover and plug the Suunto PC POD into your PC's USB port. You
are now ready to start transferring data between your PC and Suunto device.
4. SUUNTO TRAINING MANAGER WITH SUUNTO MONITOR
SUUNTO TRAINING MANAGER
Suunto Training Manager enables you to analyze data in detail. Real-time heart
monitoring can be recorded with Suunto Monitor, which is included in the Suunto
Training Manager software. From the beat-to-beat heart rate interval data,
Suunto Training Manager calculates different physiological measures of your
body. These parameters include Training Effect, EPOC (training load), oxygen
consumption (VO2), energy consumption, ventilation, respiratory rate and, natu-
rally, heart rate.

SUUNTO MONITOR
Suunto Monitor displays and records the heart rate data from your Suunto ANT
transmitter belt in real time. The Suunto PC POD receives HR data from up to
three belts within a 10 m/33 ft range. The data can then be analyzed in more
detail with Suunto Training Manager.

How to start using Suunto Monitor:
1. Start Suunto Training Manager.
2. Choose your personal profile.
3. Start Suunto Monitor from the Actions menu of Suunto Training Manager.
4. Put on your heart rate belt and plug in the Suunto PC POD.
5. The belt ID number appears in the Belts window. Mark the check box next to
the belt number. Select your user name from the drop-down list, which
appears in the new window. You can also choose to insert your maximum
heart rate.
6. When needed, start recording your heart rate by pressing the Record button.
You also can follow your heart rate in real time without recording.
Heart rate transmission signals DO NOT go through:
• water
•obstacles
• the human body
Therefore, Suunto PC POD is not suitable for water-based activities. The signal
can also be disrupted if the monitored athlete is facing away from the Suunto PC
POD or if another athlete or an obstacle is blocking the signal between the HR
belt and the Suunto PC POD.
For information on alternative HR recording products, such as Suunto t3, t4, and
t6 wristop computers, please contact your local Suunto representative.
5. SUUNTO TRAINING MANAGER LITE
The Suunto Training Manager Lite software allows you to wirelessly download
data recorded with your Suunto t3 or Suunto t4. Training Manager Lite is your
personal training logbook. It stores your workout data, displays it in graphical
format, and creates reports of your training history. Wireless downloading
requires your Suunto t3 or Suunto t4 to be no more than 2 m/6 ft from the
Suunto PC POD.
To connect to the PC, plug in the Suunto PC POD, start Training Manager Lite
and long-press the Back button of your Suunto t3 or Suunto t4 in the Time
mode.

8.3. LIMITS OF LIABILITY AND ISO 9001 COMPLIANCE
If this product should fail due to defects in materials or workmanship, Suunto Oy
will, at its sole option, repair or replace it with new or rebuilt parts, free of charge,
for two (2) years from the date of its purchase. This warranty is only extended to
the original purchaser and only covers failures due to defects in materials and
workmanship that occur during normal use while in the period of the warranty.
It does not cover battery, battery replacement, damage or failures resulting from
accident, misuse, neglect, mishandling, alteration or modifications of the prod-
uct, or any failure caused by operation of the product outside the scope of its
published specifications, or any causes not covered by this warranty.
There are no express warranties except as listed above.
The client can exercise the right to repair under the warranty by contacting
Suunto Oy’s Customer Service department to obtain a repair authorization.
Suunto Oy and its subsidiaries shall in no event be liable for any incidental or
consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the product.
Suunto Oy and its subsidiaries do not assume any responsibility for losses or
claims by third parties that may arise through the use of this device.
Suunto's Quality Assurance System is certified by Det Norske Veritas to be ISO
9001 compliant in all Suunto Oy's operations (Quality Certificate No. 96-HEL-
AQ-220).
8.4. AFTER SALES SERVICE
If a claim under warranty appears to be necessary, return the product, freight
prepaid, to your Suunto representative who is responsible for having your prod-
uct repaired or replaced. Include your name, address, proof of purchase and/or
service registration card, as required in your country. The claim will be honored
and the product repaired or replaced at no charge and returned in what your
Suunto representative determines a reasonable amount of time, provided that
all necessary parts are in stock. All repairs that are not covered under the terms
of this warranty will be made at the owner's expense. This warranty is non-trans-
ferable from the original owner.You can locate your local Suunto representative
at www.suunto.com.
9. DISPOSAL OF THE DEVICE
Please dispose of the device in an appropriate way, treating it
as electronic waste. Do not throw it in the garbage. If you wish,
you may return the device to your nearest Suunto representa-
tive.

1. PRÉSENTATION DU SUUNTO PC POD
Le Suunto PC POD est un récepteur de données sans fil permettant de
transférer des données entre des instruments de sport Suunto et votre
ordinateur. Vous pouvez ensuite contrôler et analyser vos performances
grâce aux logiciels Suunto suivants :
•Analyse:
Suunto Training Manager ; Suunto t6
Suunto Training Manager Lite ; Suunto t3 et Suunto t4
• Contrôle :
Suunto Monitor ; la ceinture émetteur Suunto ANT, vendue avec les
Suunto t3, t4 et t6.
2. INSTALLATION D’UN LOGICIEL SUUNTO
1. Insérez le cédérom du logiciel Suunto dans le lecteur.
2. Attendez que le programme d'installation se lance et suivez les instructions.
REMARQUE : si le programme d’installation ne démarre pas auto-
matiquement, cliquez sur Démarrer --> Exécuter et entrez D:\setup.exe.
3. Selon vos besoins, sélectionnez Suunto Training Manager ou Suunto
Training Manager Lite.
REMARQUE : les dernières mises à jour du logiciel Suunto peuvent être
téléchargées sur www.suunto.com. Suivez le lien jusqu’au Service clientèle.
Consultez régulièrement le site Web pour bénéficier des meilleures fonctions de
vos instruments de sport Suunto.
3. RACCORDEMENT DU SUUNTO PC POD
Après avoir retiré son capuchon, branchez le Suunto PC POD dans le port USB
de votre ordinateur. Vous pouvez maintenant commencer le transfert des
données entre votre ordinateur et le périphérique Suunto.
4. SUUNTO TRAINING MANAGER ET SUUNTO MONITOR
SUUNTO TRAINING MANAGER
Suunto Training Manager permet d’analyser des données en détail. La
surveillance en temps réel du rythme cardiaque peut être enregistrée avec
Suunto Monitor, qui est vendu avec le logiciel Suunto Training Manager. À partir
des données d’intervalle de FC, Suunto Training Manager calcule différents
paramètres physiologiques de votre organisme. Ces paramètres incluent l'effet
d'entraînement (Training Effect), la dette d'oxygène, la consommation
d'oxygène (VO2), la consommation d'énergie, la ventilation, la fréquence
respiratoire et bien sûr la fréquence cardiaque.

SUUNTO MONITOR
Suunto Monitor affiche et enregistre les données de fréquence cardiaque en
temps réel à partir de votre ceinture émetteur Suunto ANT. Le Suunto PC POD
peut recevoir des données de FC provenant de trois ceintures situées dans un
rayon de 10 m. Ces données peuvent ensuite être analysées en détail grâce à
Suunto Training Manager.

Mise en route de Suunto Monitor :
1. Démarrez Suunto Training Manager.
2. Choisissez votre profil personnel.
3. Démarrez Suunto Monitor à partir du menu Actions de Suunto Training Manager.
4. Mettez votre ceinture émetteur et branchez le Suunto PC POD.
5. Le code d’identification de la ceinture apparaît dans la fenêtre Ceintures.
Cochez la case située à côté du numéro de ceinture. Sélectionnez votre nom
d’utilisateur dans la liste déroulante qui apparaît dans la nouvelle fenêtre.
Vous pouvez également insérer votre fréquence cardiaque maximum.
6. Au moment d'utiliser la ceinture, commencez l’enregistrement de votre
fréquence cardiaque en appuyant sur le bouton Enregistrer. Vous pouvez
également suivre votre fréquence cardiaque en temps réel sans l’enregistrer.
Les signaux d’émission de la fréquence cardiaque NE PASSENT PAS à travers :
• l’eau,
• les obstacles,
• le corps humain.
Par conséquent, Suunto PC POD ne convient pas aux activités aquatiques. Le
signal peut également être perturbé si l’athlète portant la ceinture s’éloigne du
Suunto PC POD ou si un autre athlète ou un obstacle bloque le signal entre la
ceinture FC et le Suunto PC POD.
Pour en savoir plus sur les autres instruments Suunto capables d'enregistrer
des fréquences cardiaques, tels que les ordinateurs de poignet Suunto t3, t4 et
t6, veuillez contacter votre représentant Suunto.
5. SUUNTO TRAINING MANAGER LITE
Le logiciel Suunto Training Manager Lite permet de télécharger (sans fil) des
données enregistrées avec votre Suunto t3 ou Suunto t4. Training Manager Lite
constitue votre journal d’entraînement personnel. Il enregistre les données de
votre séance, les affiche sous forme de graphiques et crée des rapports sur vos
entraînements passés. Pour télécharger des données sans fil, votre Suunto t3
ou t4 ne doit pas se trouver à une distance de plus de 2 m du Suunto PC POD.
Pour raccorder le Suunto PC POD à l’ordinateur, branchez-le, lancez Training
Manager Lite et appuyez de manière prolongée sur le bouton Back de votre
Suunto t3 ou t4 en mode Time.

8.3. LIMITES DE RESPONSABILITÉ ET CONFORMITÉ ISO 9001
Si ce produit présente des défauts causés par des vices de matériau ou de
fabrication, Suunto Oy, à sa seule discrétion, réparera ou remplacera
gratuitement le produit avec des pièces neuves ou réparées, pendant une
période de deux (2) ans à compter de la date d’achat. Cette garantie ne
s’applique qu’au propriétaire d’origine et ne couvre que les défauts causés par
des vices de matériau et de fabrication survenus suite à une utilisation normale
du produit pendant la période de garantie.
Cette garantie ne couvre pas la pile, le changement de pile, les dommages ou
pannes consécutifs à un accident, une mauvaise utilisation, une négligence,
une mauvaise manipulation ou une modification du produit, ni les pannes
causées par l’utilisation du produit pour une application non spécifiée dans cette
documentation, ni les causes non couvertes par cette garantie.
Il n'existe aucune autre garantie expresse que celles précitées.
Le client peut exercer son droit à la réparation sous garantie en contactant le
Service clientèle de Suunto Oy afin d’obtenir une autorisation de réparation.
Suunto Oy et ses filiales ne doivent en aucun cas être tenus responsables des
dommages accessoires ou indirects résultant de l’utilisation ou de l’incapacité
d’utiliser ce produit. Suunto Oy et ses filiales déclinent toute responsabilité en
cas de perte ou de recours de tiers pouvant survenir suite à l’utilisation de cet
appareil.
Le Système d’assurance qualité de Suunto est certifié conforme à la norme ISO

8.4. SERVICE APRÈS-VENTE
Si vous jugez nécessaire de retourner ce produit sous garantie, renvoyez-le port

du produit. Indiquez votre nom et adresse, et joignez une preuve d'achat et/ou
la carte d'inscription d'entretien, si celle-ci est utilisée dans votre pays. La
garantie sera honorée et le produit remplacé ou réparé gratuitement et renvoyé
dans un délai jugé raisonnable par votre représentant Suunto, à condition que

3. DIE ANBRINGUNG DES SUUNTO PC POD
Nehmen Sie die Kappe ab und stecken Sie das Empfängermodul auf den USB-
Port Ihres PCs. Jetzt können Daten zwischen dem Suunto-Gerät und
dem Computer ausgetauscht werden.

SUUNTO MONITOR
Suunto Monitor zeichnet die von Ihrem Suunto ANT-Sendergurt übermittelten
HF-Daten auf und zeigt diese in Echtzeit am PC an. Der Suunto PC POD
empfängt Daten von bis zu drei Gurten in einer Entfernung von bis zu 10 m/33
ft. Die aufgezeichneten Daten können mit Suunto Training Manager im Detail
ausgewertet werden.

So verwenden Sie Suunto Monitor:
1. Öffnen Sie Suunto Training Manager.
2. Wählen Sie Ihr persönliches Profil.
3. Starten Sie Suunto Monitor über das Optionsmenü von Suunto Training
manager.
4. Legen Sie Ihren Herzfrequenz-Gurt an und stecken Sie den Suunto PC POD
ein.
5. Die Kennziffer des Gurts erscheint im Gurtfenster. Markieren Sie
das Kästchen neben der Nummer Ihres Gurts. Wählen Sie Ihren
Benutzernamen aus der Dropdown-Liste, die sich anschließend in einem
eigenen Fenster öffnet. Dabei können Sie auch Ihre maximale Herzfrequenz
eingeben.
6. Klicken Sie bei Bedarf auf die Aufnahmeschaltfläche um Ihre HF-Daten
aufzuzeichnen. Sie können Ihre Herzfrequenz aber auch verfolgen ohne sie
aufzuzeichnen.
Die Signale zur Herzfrequenz-Übermittlung gehen NICHT durch:
•wasser
• große Gegenstände
• den menschlichen Körper
Daher eignet sich der Suunto PC POD nicht für Wassersportaktivitäten.
Das Signal kann auch gestört werden wenn der Athlet vom Empfänger
abgewandt steht oder sich zwischen ihm und dem Empfänger andere Personen
oder Gegenstände befinden.
Informationen zu alternativen HF-Messinstrumenten wie z.B. den
Armbandcomputern Suunto t3, t4 und t6 erhalten Sie bei Ihrem Suunto-
Fachhändler.
5. SUUNTO TRAINING MANAGER LITE
Suunto Training Manager Lite ist ein Software-Programm zur drahtlosen
Übertragung und Speicherung der mit dem Suunto t3 oder Suunto t4
aufgezeichneten Daten. Training Manager Lite ist Ihr persönliches
Trainingsprotokoll. Das Programm speichert Ihre Daten, stellt sie grafisch dar
und erstellt Berichte über Ihr gesamtes Training. Um die drahtlose Übertragung
zu ermöglichen, darf die Entfernung zwischen dem Suunto t3 bzw. t4 und
dem Suunto PC POD nicht mehr als 2m/6ft betragen.
Um die Verbindung herzustellen, stecken Sie den Suunto PC POD ein, starten
Sie Training Manager Lite und halten Sie im Time-Modus die Back-Taste Ihrer
Suunto t3 bzw. t4 ca. 2 Sekunden gedrückt.

8.1.2. ICES
Dieses digitale Gerät der Klasse B entspricht den Anforderungen der

8.2. FCC-KONFORMITÄT
Dieses Gerät entspricht den Vorschriften in Part 15 der FCC-Grenzwerte (U.S.

8.3. GARANTIEEINSCHRÄNKUNGEN UND ISO 9001-KONFORMITÄT
Falls dieses Produkt Material- oder Herstellungsfehler aufweist, wird Suunto Oy
das Produkt zwei (2) Jahre lang ab Kaufdatum nach einzig eigenem Ermessen
kostenlos reparieren oder mit neuen oder wiederhergestellten Bauteilen
ausstatten. Diese Garantie besteht ausschließlich gegenüber dem Erstkäufer
und deckt nur Material- oder Herstellungsfehler ab, die während des normalen
Gebrauchs innerhalb der Garantiezeit auftreten.
Die Garantie erstreckt sich nicht auf den Akku bzw. den Batteriewechsel oder
auf Beschädigungen oder Fehler, die auf Grund von Unfällen, Missbrauch,
Fahrlässigkeit, Handhabungsfehlern oder eigenhändig am Produkt
vorgenommenen Veränderungen auftreten, ebenso wenig auf
Funktionsstörungen, die aus dem den Angaben in der Produktdokumentation
zuwiderlaufenden Gebrauch oder anderen nicht unter die Garantie fallenden
Ursachen resultieren.
Es gibt keine weiteren Garantieleistungen als die oben genannten.
Der Kunde kann sich bei Fragen zum Recht auf Reparatur innerhalb
der Garantiezeit mit unserem Kundendienst in Verbindung setzen, der auch

Die Firma Suunto Oy und ihre Tochterfirmen haften unter keinen Umständen für
direkte oder indirekte Schäden, die aus dem Gebrauch oder der Unfähigkeit

8.4. KUNDENDIENST
Zur Geltendmachung eines Gewährleistungsanspruchs ist es erforderlich,
dass Sie das Produkt zwecks Reparatur oder Ersatz gegen Vorauszahlung
der Versandkosten an Ihren örtlichen autorisierten Suunto-Fachhändler
zurücksenden. Legen Sie der Sendung Ihren Namen, Ihre Adresse sowie den in
Ihrem Land gültigen Bestimmungen entsprechend Kaufbeleg und/oder
Garantiekarte bei. Die kostenlose Reparatur oder der Ersatz im Rahmen
des Gewährleistungsanspruchs erfolgt im von Ihrem Suunto-Fachhändler als
angemessen erachteten Zeitraum, vorausgesetzt, dass alle erforderlichen Teile
auf Lager sind. Alle über den Gewährleistungsanspruch hinausgehenden

1. INTRODUCCIÓN AL SUUNTO PC POD
El Suunto PC POD es un receptor de datos inalámbrico que permite transferir
datos entre los instrumentos deportivos Suunto y su PC. Tras hacerlo, puede
monitorizar y analizar su rendimiento con ayuda del software Suunto siguiente:

2. INSTALACIÓN DEL SOFTWARE DE SUUNTO
1. Inserte el CD-ROM del software de Suunto en la unidad

3. CONEXIÓN DEL SUUNTO PC POD

4. SUUNTO TRAINING MANAGER CON SUUNTO MONITOR
SUUNTO TRAINING MANAGER
Suunto Training Manager le permite analizar los datos en detalle. El monitoreo
cardiaco en tiempo real puede registrarse con Suunto Monitor, que se incluye
en el software Suunto Training Manager. A partir de los datos de intervalos de
frecuencia cardíaca entre latidos, Suunto Training Manager calcula distintos
parámetros fisiológicos de su organismo. Entre estos parámetros se
encuentran el efecto de entrenamiento, EPOC (carga de entrenamiento),
consumo de oxígeno (VO2), consumo de energía, ventilación, frecuencia
respiratoria y, naturalmente, frecuencia cardíaca.

datos pueden analizarse en más detalle con Suunto Training Manager.

Cómo empezar a usar Suunto Monitor:
1. Inicie Suunto Training Manager.
2. Seleccione su perfil personal.
3. Inicie Suunto Monitor en el menú Acciones de Suunto Training Manager.
4. Póngase su correa de frecuencia cardíaca y conecte el Suunto PC POD.
5. El número de ID de la correa aparece en la ventana Correas. Active la casilla
de verificación que aparece junto al número de la correa. Seleccione su
nombre de usuario en la lista desplegable que aparece en la nueva ventana.
También tiene la opción de introducir su frecuencia cardíaca máxima.
6. Cuando lo necesite, empiece a registrar su frecuencia cardíaca presionando
el botón Grabar. También puede controlar su frecuencia cardíaca en tiempo
real sin registrarla.
Las señales de transmisión de la frecuencia cardíaca NO atraviesan:
• El agua
• Los obstáculos
• El cuerpo humano
Por tanto, el Suunto PC POD no es adecuado para las actividades acuáticas.
La señal también puede verse interrumpida si el deportista monitoreado está
mirando en el sentido contrario al Suunto PC POD o si otro deportista o un
obstáculo bloquean la señal entre la correa de FC y el Suunto PC POD.

5. SUUNTO TRAINING MANAGER LITE
El software Suunto Training Manager Lite permite descargar inalámbricamente
los datos registrados con su Suunto t3 o Suunto t4. Training Manager Lite es su
diario de entrenamiento personal. Almacena los datos de sus entrenamientos,
los representa de forma gráfica y crea informes con su historial de
entrenamiento. La descarga inalámbrica requiere que su Suunto t3 o Suunto t4
esté a no más de 2 m/6 pies del Suunto PC POD.
Para establecer la conexión con el PC, conecte el Suunto PC POD, inicie
Training Manager Lite y presione durante más tiempo el botón Back de su

nuevas o regeneradas, sin cargo alguno y durante un periodo de dos (2) años a
partir de la fecha de compra. Esta garantía se extiende sólo al comprador
original y cubre únicamente los fallos debidos a materiales o mano de obra que
hayan aparecido durante su uso normal durante el período de garantía.
No cubre los daños ni fallos causados por la pila, la sustitución de la pila, daños
o fallos debidos a un accidente, uso indebido, negligencia, manejo incorrecto,
alteración o modificación del producto, cualquier daño causado por el uso del

Come iniziare ad utilizzare Suunto Monitor:
1. Avvio di Suunto Training Manager:
2. Scegliere il profilo personale.
3. Avviare di Suunto Monitor dal menu Azioni di Suunto Training Manager.
4. Indossare la cintura trasmettitore ed inserire il Suunto PC POD.
5. Il numero ID della cintura sarà visualizzato nella finestra Cinture. Evidenziare
la casella accanto al numero della cintura. Selezionare il vostro nome utente
dal menu a tendina che compare nella nuova finestra. Potete inoltre inserire
la frequenza cardiaca massima desiderata.
6. Se necessario, iniziare la registrazione della vostra frequenza cardiaca,
pressando il tasto Registra. Potete anche seguire la vostra frequenza
cardiaca in tempo reale senza registrarla.
I segnali della trasmissione della frequenza cardiaca NON arrivano:
•acqua
• ostacoli
• il corpo umano
Per questo motivo, Suunto PC POD non è adatto alle attività acquatiche. Il
segnale può essere disturbato se l'atleta monitorato non è rivolto verso il Suunto
PC POD o se tra lui e lo strumento si trova un altro atleta che impedisce il
passaggio del segnale della cintura trasmettitore verso il Suunto PC POD.
Per informazioni su prodotti di registrazione della frequenza cardiaca alternativi,
come Suunto t3, t4 e t6, contattare il rivenditore di zona Suunto.
5. SUUNTO TRAINING MANAGER LITE
Il software Suunto Training Manager Lite vi permette di scaricare senza fili i dati
registrati con i vostri Suunto t3 o Suunto t4. Training Manager Lite è il vostro
taccuino d'allenamento personale. È in grado di memorizzare i vostri dati
d'allenamento, di visualizzarli in modo grafico e di creare report sull'evoluzione
storica del vostro allenamento. Lo scaricamento senza file dei dati da Suunto t3
o Suunto t4 è possibile solo se questi si trovano a meno di 2 m/6 piedi da
Suunto PC POD.
Per effettuare il collegamento con il PC, bisogna inserire Suunto PC POD,
avviare il programma Suunto Training Manager Lite e pressare a lungo il tasto
Indietro del vostro Suunto t3 o Suunto t4 quando questo è in modalità orologio.
