1. Appearance

Connect the charging station to the power supply, then put the ring scanner
into the station with the scan window upward. Now the charging
contactors of the ring scanner and the station are contacted.
The red light on indicates it is in charging status while the green light on and
the red light off indicate charging completes.
Warning: don't look into the scan window directly to avoid the
laser harm to eyes.
2.2 Fetch the ring scanner from the station
Hold the sides of the ring scanner gently and pull out upward from the station.
3. Bluetooth connection
3.1 Working with a computer
Firstly, connect the charging station to a pc via a USB cable, the green light of the
charging station on indicates a successful connection. After waiting for 15 seconds,
scan the "Bluetooth connection barcode" on the side of the charging station with the

ring scanner, the blue light of the charging station on indicate the Bluetooth
communication between ring scanner and the charging station is successfully set up.
3.2 Working with a tablet PC or a phone
Firstly, scan the "Bluetooth connection barcode" on the side of the charging station
with the ring scanner. The green light of the ring scanner flashes indicating a
successful Bluetooth communication establishment.
Secondly, find the Bluetooth serial number of the ring scanner on the side of the
charging station open the setting menu of the tablet (same process for phones), and
then open the sub-menu of " Bluetooth search ", find the specific Bluetooth serial
number in the search list, select the number and wait the connection complete.
Advanced usage: if an APP is programmed to work with the ring scanner, it is the
APP's responsibility to set up the Bluetooth communication between the ring
scanner and the tablet.
3.3 Work mode switching between pc and tablet (phone)
3.3.1 To switch the ring scanner from working with a tablet to working with a pc, just
scan the setting barcode "COMMON" ( see 13.13.1) to convert the mode.
3.3.2 To switch the ring scanner from working with a pc to working with a tablet, just
scan the setting barcode " WINDOWS " ( see 13.13.2) to convert the mode.
3.3.3 To switch the ring scanner from working with a pc to working with an android
OS phone, just scan the setting barcode " OTHERS " ( see13.13.3) to convert the
mode.
Please ref. to the part of the setting barcode on the Connection settings for different
devices.

6. Getting started
6.1 Correctly operating
After wearing the ring scanner, touch the left or right side, covered the target
barcode with the red laser beam, a green light flash indicates a successful scanning.
6.2 Select the appropriate ring strap set
To change the ring strap set, firstly, to push out the set from the notch on the bottom
of the ring scanner, then push the appropriate set into the notch.

6.4 Charging status:
6.5 Troubleshoot for Bluetooth connection
You can scan "restore factory settings" setting barcode (ref. xxx ) and try to reconnect
it after 10 second if the Bluetooth connection is not successfully established.
6.6 Protection mechanism after charging
To avoid the unexpected trigger and thus probably harm from laser beam to human's
eyes when the ring scanner is fetched from the docking station, the ring scanner is
designed to response the touch-key after touching it 3 times.
7. Maintenance
»The scan window must be kept clean. Improper maintenance will breach the limited
warranty.
» Avoid rough objects not to damage or scratch the window.
» Use brush to remove the stain.
» Use soft cloth (cloth for glasses) to clean.
» Prohibit spraying towards the window.
The green light flash indicates a successful scanning.
The red light double flash indicates low battery.
The green light turning off after turning on 1 second
indicates a successful Bluetooth connection.
The blue light turning off after turning on 1 second
indicates a broken Bluetooth connection.
The red, green and blue light turning on recurrently
indicates the state of reset.

8. Code settings
Common bar code is used to refer to the setting of the bar code scanning, the new
set of commands to be executed.
8.1 Scan bar code "Device information" will be the serial number, version of the
feedback device, and the current Bluetooth version information when the normal
connection is connected.
8.2 Scanning the Reset Scanner barcode can restore the scanner to the factory
default settings
You may need to reset your scanner when:
scanner is not properly configured so that it fails to decode barcodes;
you forget previous configuration and want to avoid its impact;
functions that are rarely used have been enabled for the time being.

8.3 Scan bar code "Restore Bluetooth" only to restore the name of the Bluetooth, has
set the way of scanning and other settings will not change.
8.4 Scanning bar code "Continuous scanning", continuous touch case to maintain a
long light state, can achieve rapid scanning of bar code. If you need to restore the
normal state of the scan, scan the "manual trigger scan" bar code.
8.5 Manual Mode (default): A trigger pull activates a decode session. The decode
session continues until the barcode is decoded or you release the trigger or the
decode session timeout occurs.
8.6 Scan bar code " Automatic interval scanning ", after the successful scanning of
the bar code according to the set time (0.5 ~ 3 seconds and the default is 2 seconds)
the device will automatically light.
8.7 Scan bar code " Automatic interval scanning-reduce ", in the case of automatic
intermittent continuous scanning for adjustment of the scan time, scan time interval
of 0.5 seconds, the fastest to 0.5 per second.

8.8 Scan bar code “Automatic interval scanning-increase”, in the case of automatic
intermittent continuous scanning for adjusting the scan time, scan time interval
increased by 0.5 seconds, the slowest to 3 per second.
9. Light swing adjustment
According to the length of the commonly used bar code changing the swing of the
light (relative distance) has reached a better recognition effect.
10. Operation steps to calibrate the laser swing length:
10.1 Scan laser swing calibration switch barcode, the white light turns on, ring
scanner begins to automatically and intermittently scan.
10.2 The laser swing length is lengthened or shortened according to the demand.
Scan the “Lengthen laser swing length”barcode to lengthen the laser swing length;
or otherwise. (A single operation can be calibrated repeatedly according to the actual
situations. To confirm whether the swing has been calibrated is to scan in the blank
space to make contrast.)

10.3 The swing calibration is confirmed when the yellow light and the white light
flash by scanning the swing confirmation barcode.
10.4 Scan the data generation barcode, the yellow and red light of ring scanner flash,

then purple light flashes for a while (put ring scanner to the desk as far as possible to
avoid any vibration and other unstable factors). It functions normally when the
purple light turns off. It can realize fast batch barcode scanning.
The reasonable calibration can enhance the effect of scanning, while improper
calibration will affect the scanning experience. It is best to scan just covering barcode
size. For example, to scan small barcode is suggested to shorten the laser swing
length (such as in 10cm far away scan swing shorten barcode until just covering bar
code).
Scan "Generation data" bar code to reset the length of the laser swing in the case
that the laser swing length is reduced.
11. Function bar code setting
Scan function bar codes to achieve some specific functions, and to meet the needs of
customers. It is more convenient to use.
Select the “Enter”Delete the “Enter”
11.1 Scan the Select the “Enter”barcode, such as in the txt it can shift to next line
when completing bar code scanning each time, if no more need, scan Delete the
“Enter”and it will continue to output barcode following the last scanning in the text.
Add the Tab Delete the Tab
11.2 Scan bar code "add the tab", it can automatically add tabs between barcodes to
achieve the horizontal output in the txt, in excel bar code output automatically
switches to the next column. (such as A switch to the B column), if no more need,
scan Delete the Tab barcode.

12. Laser swing reset setting

Scan the bar code to solve the problem of laser swing length shortening. After
scanning the bar code, the purple light of ring scanner will keep on (put ring scanner
to the desk as far as possible to avoid any vibration and other unstable factors). It
functions normally when the purple light turns off.
13. Connection settings for different devices
The following bar codes apply to connection between W16 ring scanner and
computer, mobile phone, and tablet PC.
13.1 To work with computer, scan the "COMMON" barcode by the ring scanner from
working with other devices to working with a pc.
13.2 To work with smart phone and tablet computer with Android versions, to work
with tablet computer with IOS version, just scan the barcode " WINDOWS " to
convert the mode.
13.3 To work with smart phone and tablet computer with Windows versions, just
scan the barcode "OTHERS" to convert the mode.
