Getting started
Powering Up/Down
Press the power button on the top of the unit for 3 seconds to power up. The music should start playing
automatically.
Press the middle button to start and stop the music. You do not need to power down the unit. It will
automatically power down after 1 minute when the music is stopped.
Operation
Press the middle button to start and stop the music. Press the right button to skip to the next song.
Press the left button to go to the previous song.
Press and hold the right button to fast forward through a song. Press and hold the left button to fast
rewind through a song.
When player reaches the end of a song, it will automatically play the next song in the playlist. When it
reaches the end of the playlist, it will automatically play the song at the beginning of the playlist.
SweetPea3 Setup
Press and hold the middle button for 6 seconds to get to the settings menu.
General Na igation
Press the middle button to select the highlighted option. Press the left and right buttons to scroll
through the options. The screen will prompt the function of the buttons.
Maximum Speaker Volume
Sets the maximum speaker volume the user can access with the volume buttons.
Maximum Headphone Volume
Sets the maximum headphone volume the user can access with the volume buttons when the
headphones are plugged in. Please be careful with this setting as the higher volume settings can cause
hearing damage. The higher settings are intended for those users with hearing impairment who require
a higher volume.

Playlist
Select the playlist. A playlist is created by creating a folder at the root level of the device. See below for
more details about playlists.
Auto Off
Sets how long the unit will play before shutting off. The default value is 5 minutes. Please adjust this to
--- for unlimited play.
Alarm Settings
You can set the playlist and volume for the alarms.
The Parental Sleep-in Trainer is a feature designed to help your child stay in bed in the morning. The
screen will wake up and turn red 60 minutes prior to Visiting time and it will display a countdown timer.
At visiting time, the screen will turn green and the child may come into your room.
Obviously the child will need a bit of training to understand how this works. We recommend you first
set the visiting time to around the normal time the child wakes. This will habituate them to seeing green
means they can enter your room or if it’s red, they only have a short wait. Then move the time forward
by 5 minutes every day until you reach your target visiting time. If the child comes into your room early,
then simply bring them back to their room and give them a solo activity until the screen turns green.
The Bedtime Trainer feature helps regulate the bedtime routine. There are three pre-programmed
songs that play at each of the three times you set. Prep Time notifies the child to start getting ready for
bed. They must be in bed by the time the Story Time song finishes playing. If yes, you reward the child
with an extra 5 minutes of reading. Then you read until it is Sleep Time.

Set the clock.
Set the background color of the screen.

Loading music
Connect the device to a computer using the USB cable. Select Charge and Transfer.
Using Windows Explorer on your PC or Finder on your Mac, find the SweetPea3R in your devices list.
The preloaded playlist is called MyPlaylist1. To create other playlists, simply create other folders and
name them anything you want. You can create as many folders as you like and drag songs into these
folders to create a playlist. Songs can be dragged straight from iTunes or from the computer’s hard
drive.
Song Order
Songs play in a first in first played basis. To create a specific song order, move the songs to a temporary
folder and then move them back into your playlist folder one at a time in the order you want them to
play.
Charging the de ice
Simply plug the unit into any USB port. This can be found on your computer, on a USB car adapter, on a
USB hub or on a USB wall adapter.
Troubleshooting
Unit is locked up
Press the reset button. The reset button is located in the small hole just above the volume buttons. Use
a paper clip or similar device to press the button.
Unit not recognizing songs
Please ensure that the song format is supported. The currently supported formats are MP3, WMA and
AAC (.m3a from iTunes).
