absolutely necessary for the user to strictly follow the safety instructions and warnings in
this user manual. Any damage caused by mishandling is not subject to warranty. The
dealer will not accept responsibility for any resulting defects or problems caused by

not remove the top cover. No user-serviceable parts
inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel

The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within the equilateral triangle is
intended to alert the use or the presence of un-insulated “dangerous voltage”
within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a
risk of electric shock.
The exclamation point within the equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to
the presence of important operation and maintenance (servicing) instructions in
the literature accompanying this appliance.
This symbol means: indoor use only.

To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.
To avoid condensation to be formed inside, allow the unit to adapt to the surrounding
temperatures when bringing it into a warm room after transport. Condense sometimes
prevents the unit from working at full performance or may even cause damages.
This unit is for indoor use only.
Don’t place metal objects or spill liquid inside the unit. No objects filled with liquids, such
as vases, shall be placed on this appliance. Electric shock or malfunction may result. If a
foreign object enters the unit, immediately disconnect the mains power.
No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the appliance.
Don’t cover any ventilation openings as this may result in overheating.
Prevent use in dusty environments and clean the unit regularly.
Keep the unit away from children.
Inexperienced persons should not operate this device.
Maximum save ambient temperature is 45°C. Don’t use this unit at higher ambient
temperatures.
Minimum distances around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation is 3cm.
Always unplug the unit when it is not used for a longer time or before you start servicing.
The electrical installation should be carried out by qualified personal only, according to
the regulations for electrical and mechanical safety in your country.
Check that the available voltage is not higher than the one stated on the rear panel of the
unit.
The socket inlet shall remain operable for disconnection from the mains.

The power cord should always be in perfect condition: switch the unit immediately off
when the power cord is squashed or damaged.
Never let the power-cord come into contact with other cables!
When the power switch is in OFF position, this unit is not completely disconnected from
the mains!
This appliance must be earthed to in order comply with safety regulations.
In order to prevent electric shock, do not open the cover. Apart from the mains fuse there
are no user serviceable parts inside.
Never repair a fuse or bypass the fuse holder. Always replace a damaged fuse with a
fuse of the same type and electrical specifications!
In the event of serious operating problems, stop using the appliance and contact your
dealer immediately.
Please use the original packing when the device is to be transported.
Due to safety reasons it is prohibited to make unauthorized modifications to the unit.
INSTALLATION GUIDELINES:
Install the unit in a well-ventilated location where it will not be exposed to high
temperatures or humidity.
Placing and using the unit for long periods near heat-generating sources such as
amplifiers, spotlights, etc. will affect its performance and may even damage the unit.
The unit can be mounted in 19-inch racks. Attach the unit using the 4 screw holes on the
front panel. Be sure to use screws of the appropriate size. (screws not provided)
Take care to minimize shocks and vibrations during transport.
When installed in a booth or flight case, please make sure to have good ventilation to
improve heat evacuation of the unit.
To avoid condensation to be formed inside, allow the unit to adapt to the surrounding
temperatures when bringing it into a warm room after transport. Condense sometimes
prevents the unit from working at full performance.
CLEANING THE UNIT:
Clean by wiping with a cloth slightly dipped with water. Avoid getting water inside the unit.
Do not use volatile liquids such as benzene or thinner which will damage the unit.
Clean the ventilation holes regularly with a vacuum cleaner. This increases the cooling
capacity of the amplifier fans and helps preventing temperature overheat.
CONNECTIONS
Be sure to turn off the unit before you make changes to the wiring. For the signal inputs we
recommend using the XLR-connections. Use good quality signal cables to ensure
excellent audio quality. For the speakers you must use the Speakon®outputs. In the
description of the unit you will find more information on how to connect the amplifier.

FUNCTIONS (FRONT)
1. VENTILLATION HOLES: during its operation the amplifier produces heat that needs to
be dissipated. The fans inside the amplifier must be able to evacuate the heat in the
most effective way. Therefore is it very important not to cover any of the ventilation
openings as this may result in overheating. Clean the ventilation holes regularly with a
vacuum cleaner. This increases the cooling capacity of the amplifier fans and helps
preventing temperature overheat.
2. GAIN CONTROLS: These potentiometers are used to control the input sensitivity of
the amplifier. Each channel has its own control.
You can use these controls to set the maximum sound level of your setup:
Turn both controls on the amplifier to the left.
Put on some music on and make sure the VU meters on your mixer are at 0dB.
(from time to time the red zone is lit)
Set the Master output from your mixer to maximum.
Open the Gain controls from the amplifier until the maximum desired sound level
is reached.
Make sure nobody can reach the Gain controls of the amplifier.
You have just set the maximum level the DJ is able to produce. Your neighbors will be
glad…(in some cases the DJ is not )
Note: In Mono and Bridge mode, only the gain control of the left channel is used to adjust the input
sensitivity.
3. OPERATION MODE LEDS: These LEDs indicates the operation mode. Switch (12) on
the rear panel is used to choose one of these 3 possible modes:
STEREO MODE: Both LEDs are lit. This is the most common mode, both
channels are working separately.
MONO MODE: Only the LED of the right channel is lit. Basically this is identical to
stereo mode but the inputs of both channels are linked so the output will be mono.
In this case you only need to use the input of the left channel to drive both output
channels.
BRIDGE MODE: Only the LED of the left channel is lit. Both channels are linked
in “bridge mode” to obtain a mono output with much higher power.

4. PROTECT LEDS: The protection LED is on when the speakers are disconnected from
the amplifier. This occurs in the following situations:
During the first seconds after switching on the amplifier.
When the temperature of the power stage becomes too high.
In case of a technical defect: DC protection!
While switching the amplifier off, the “protect led” turns on for a short time.
5. SIGNAL LEDS: these LEDs indicate that a music signal is present at the inputs.
6. LIMIT LEDS: Turn on just before the maximum, distortion free, output level of the
amplifier. They indicate that the internal limiter starts working. The limit LEDs may turn
on shortly from time to time but they may certainly not turn on for longer periods. In this
case you have to turn the output level down!
7. MAINS SWITCH: Used to turn the amplifier on and off. A few seconds after switching
on the amplifier it is ready for operation.
FUNCTIONS (REAR)

9. XLR/JACK inputs: You can connect these balanced inputs
to balanced and unbalanced line level audio sources:
Balanced source: Use good quality XLR/XLR
balanced audio cables.
Wiring of the XLR connector:
PIN1: GND PIN2: pos+ PIN3: neg-.
Wiring of the JACK connector:
Sleeve: GND TIP: pos+ RING: neg-.
Unbalanced source: Use good quality XLR/cinch or
JACK/cinch audio cables.
Wiring of the XLR connector:
PIN1: GND PIN2: pos+ PIN3: GND (connect to PIN1)
Wiring of the JACK connector:
Sleeve: GND TIP: pos+ RING: GND (connect to
sleeve)

10.XLR LINK outputs: in several cases you need a
lot of power that can’t be produced by only 1
amplifier. In these cases the link outputs are
used to daisy chain the inputs/outputs of several
amplifiers. The wiring if these male XLR outputs
are identical to the inputs.
11.INPUT SENSITIVITY switch: With this switch
you can perfectly adapt the input sensitivity of the amplifier: 0,775V; 1,0V or 1,44V.
12.OPERATION MODE switch: Used to set the operation mode of the amplifier. The
most common operation mode is “stereo”. If you need more power, you can operate
the amplifier in bridge mode. Refer also to point 3 for more information.
13.L+R SPEAKON OUTPUTS: use these Speakon®connectors to connect your speaker
cabinets in stereo or mono mode. Wiring of these connectors is as follows:
POS(+) = Speakon connector PIN1+ and PIN2+
NEG(-) = Speakon connector PIN1- and PIN2-
14.BRIDGE SPEAKON OUTPUT: use this Speakon®
connector to connect your speaker cabinet in bridge
mode. Refer to points 3 and 12 for more information.
Wiring of this connector is as follows:
POS(+) = Speakon connector PIN1+ and PIN2+
NEG(-) = Speakon connector PIN1- and PIN2-
15.MAINS input: When all audio cables are connected, you can connect this cable to an
earthed mains outlet.
16.RESET button: this amplifier uses an automatic fuse. When the fuse is blown, simply
press the button to rearm it.
17.GROUND LIFT switch: In some cases nasty hum noises can occur due to ground
loops in your setup. Setting the Ground lift switch to the position “lift” breaks the ground
loop between the amplifier and the chassis grounds of various other components in
your setup. As a result the hum noises disappear.
HOW TO USE
STEREO OPERATION:
Connect the audio signal to the inputs (9)
Set the operation mode switch (12) to “stereo”
Connect the matching speakers to the L+R Speakon®
outputs (13)
Make sure the mains voltage matches 230Vac before
connecting the mains cable to the earthed wall socket.
Set both input gains (2) to zero
Make sure there’s a music signal at the input
Turn the amplifier on (7)
Adjust the input gains (2) to the desired level
BRIDGE OPERATION:
Connect the audio signal to theleft input (9)
Set the operation mode switch (12) to “bridge”
Connect the matching speaker(s) to the Bridge Speakon®
output (14)

Make sure the mains voltage matches 230Vac before connecting the mains cable to the
earthed wall socket
Set both input gains (2) to zero
Make sure there’s a music signal at the left input
Turn the amplifier on (7)
Adjust the left input gain (2) to the desired level, leave the right channel gain to zero.
MONO OPERATION:
Connect the audio signal to the input of the left channel (9)
Set the operation mode switch (12) to “mono”
Connect the matching speakers to the L+R Speakon®outputs
(13)
Make sure the mains voltage matches 230Vac before
connecting the mains cable to the earthed wall socket
Set both input gains (2) to zero
Make sure there’s a music signal at the input

INSTRUCTIONS DE SECURITE:
ATTENTION: afin de réduire le risque
d’électrocution, n’enlevez jamais le couvercle de
l’appareil. Il n’y a aucune pièce à l’intérieur de
l’appareil que vous pouvez remplacer vous-même. Confiez l’entretien uniquement
aux techniciens qualifiés.
La flèche dans un triangle met l'utilisateur en garde de la présence de haut
voltage sans isolation dans l'appareil qui peut causer un risque d'électrocution.
Un point d'exclamation dans un triangle prévient de la présence d'instructions de
fonctionnement et de maintenance se trouvant dans le manuel, fourni avec
l'appareil.
Ce symbole signifie : uniquement pour usage à l'intérieur
Ce symbole signifie : Lire le mode d’emploi.
Afin d’éviter tout risque d’incendie ou de choc électrique, ne pas exposer cet appareil à
la pluie ou l’humidité.
Pour éviter la formation de condensation à l’intérieur de l’appareil, patientez quelques
minutes pour laisser l’appareil s’adapter à la température ambiante lorsqu’il arrive dans
une pièce chauffée après le transport. La condensation empêche l’unité de fonctionner
en performance optimale et peut même causer des dommages.
Cette unité est destinée à une utilisation à l’intérieur uniquement.
Ne pas insérer d’objet métallique ou verser un liquide dans l’appareil. Aucun objet rempli
de liquides, tels que des vases, ne sera placé sur cet appareil. Risque de choc électrique
ou de dysfonctionnement. Si un corps étranger est introduit dans l’unité, déconnectez
immédiatement de la source d’alimentation.
Aucune source de flamme nue, telle que les bougies allumées, ne devrait être placée sur
l'appareil.
Ne pas couvrir les ouvertures de ventilation, un risque de surchauffe en résulterait.
Ne pas utiliser dans un environnement poussiéreux et nettoyez l’unité régulièrement.
Ne pas laisser l’unité à portée des enfants.
Les personnes non expérimentées ne doivent pas utiliser cet appareil.
La température ambiante maximum d’utilisation de l’appareil est de 45°C. Ne pas
l’utiliser au-delà de cette température.
La distance minimum autour de l'appareil pour une ventilation suffisante est 3cm.
Débranchez toujours l’appareil si vous ne l’utilisez pas de manière prolongée ou avant
d’entreprendre des réparations.
Les installations électriques ne peuvent être faites que par du personnel qualifié et
conformément aux régulations de sécurité électrique et mécanique en vigueur dans
votre pays.
Assurez-vous que le voltage de la source d’alimentation de la zone dans laquelle vous
vous trouvez ne dépasse pas celui indiqué à l’arrière de l’appareil.

La prise sera toujours accessible pour que le cordon secteur puisse être enlevé à
chaque moment.
Le cordon d’alimentation doit toujours être en condition parfaite. Mettez immédiatement
l’unité hors tension si le cordon est écrasé ou endommagé.
Ne laissez jamais le cordon d’alimentation entrer en contact avec d’autres câbles !
Quand l’interrupteur principal est dans la position OFF, cet appareil n'est pas
complètement isolé du courant 230V!
L’appareil doit être à lamasse selon les règles de sécurités.
Utilisez toujours les câbles appropriés et certifiés lorsque vous installez l’unité.
Pour éviter tout choc électrique, ne pas ouvrir l’appareil. En dehors du fusible principal, il
n’y a pas de pièces pouvant être changées par l’utilisateur à l’intérieur.
Ne jamais réparer ou court-circuiter un fusible. Remplacez systématiquement un
fusible endommagé par un fusible de même type et spécifications électriques !
En cas de problèmes de fonctionnement sérieux, arrêtez toute utilisation de l’appareil et
contactez votre revendeur immédiatement.
Utilisez l’emballage d’origine si l’appareil doit être transporté.
Pour des raisons de sécurité, il est interdit d’apporter toute modification à l’unité non
spécifiquement autorisée par les parties responsables.
CONSEILS D'INSTALLATION:
Installer l'appareil dans un lieu bien aéré, à l'abri de l'humidité et des fortes
températures.
Placer et utiliser l'appareil à proximité de sources de chaleur telles que spots, amplis,…
pourrait affecter ses performances et même endommager l'appareil.
L'appareil peut être installé dans un rack 19''. Fixer l'appareil en utilisant les 4 trous pour
vis sur la face avant. Assurez-vous d'utiliser des vis de la bonne dimension (vis non
fournies). Essayez d'éviter les vibrations et les coups lors du transport.
En cas d'installation dans un 'flight case', assurer une bonne ventilation afin d'évacuer la
chaleur produite par l'appareil.
Pour éviter la condensation à l'intérieur, laisser l'appareil s'adapter à la nouvelle
température ambiante après le transport. La condensation peut altérer les performances
de l'appareil.
NETTOYAGE DE L’APPAREIL:
Nettoyez l’appareil à l’aide d’un chiffon doux, légèrement humide. Evitez d’introduire de
l’eau à l’intérieur de l’appareil. N’utilisez pas de produits volatiles tels que le benzène ou le
thinner qui peuvent endommager l’appareil.
Nettoyez régulièrement les orifices de ventilation à l’aide d’un aspirateur. Ceci augmente
la capacité de refroidissement des ventilateurs et aide à éviter une éventuelle surchauffe
de l’amplificateur.

Eteignez toujours l’appareil avant de faire un quelconque changement de câblage. Pour le
signal d’entrée nous vous recommandons d’utiliser les connecteurs XLR. Utilisez des
câbles de signal de bonne qualité afin d’assurer une excellente qualité audio. Pour les
haut-parleurs vous utilisez les sorties Speakon®. Dans le chapitre suivant vous trouverez
plus d’informations sur les connexions de cet ampli.

FONCTIONS (FACE AVANT)
1. OUVERTURES DE VENTILATION: pendant son fonctionnement l’amplificateur produit
de la chaleur qui doit être dissipée. Les ventilateurs à l’intérieur de l’amplificateur
doivent pouvoir évacuer la chaleur le plus efficacement possible. Pour cela il est très
important de ne couvrir aucun orifice de ventilation car ceci peut provoquer une
surchauffe. Nettoyez régulièrement les orifices de ventilation à l’aide d’un aspirateur.
Ceci augmente la capacité de refroidissement des ventilateurs et aide à éviter une
éventuelle surchauffe de l’amplificateur.
2. CONTRÔLES DE GAIN: ces potentiomètres sont utilisés pour contrôler la sensibilité
d’entrée de l’amplificateur. Chaque canal possède son propre réglage.
Vous pouvez utiliser ces potentiomètres pour régler le niveau sonore maximal de votre
installation:
Tournez les deux potentiomètres de votre amplificateur vers la gauche.
Mettez de la musique et vérifiez si les VU mètres de votre table de mixage sont à
0dB. (la zone rouge s’allume de temps en temps)
Réglez le niveau de sortie principal de votre table de mixage (Master) sur
maximum.
Ouvrez les potentiomètres de Gain de l’amplificateur jusqu’à ce que le niveau
sonore que vous désirez soit atteint.
Assurez-vous que personne ne peut toucher les potentiomètres de gain de votre
amplificateur.
Vous venez de régler le niveau maximal que le DJ peut produire. Vos voisins seront
contents…(dans quelques cas le DJ ne le sera pas)
Remarque: En mode Mono et Bridge, seul le contrôle du canal gauche est utilisé pour régler la
sensibilité d’entrée.
3. LED MODE D'OPÉRATION: Ces LED indiquent le mode d'opération. Le commutateur
(12) sur le panneau arrière est utilisé pour choisir 1 de ces 3 modes possibles :
MODE STÉRÉO: Les deux LED sont allumés. C'est le mode le plus commun, les
deux canaux travaillent séparément.
MODE MONO: Seulement le LED du canal droit est allumé. Fondamentalement
ce mode est identique au mode stéréo mais les entrées des deux canaux sont
reliées, ainsi le son sera en mono. Dans ce cas-ci vous devez seulement
employer l'entrée du canal gauche pour alimenter les deux canaux de sortie.

MODE BRIDGE: Seulement le LED du canal gauche est allumé. Les deux canaux
sont reliés pour obtenir une sortie mono avec une puissance beaucoup plus
élevée.
4. PROTECT LED: le LED de protection est allumé quand les haut-parleurs sont
déconnectés de l’amplificateur. Ceci peut se produire dans les cas suivants:
Pendant la première seconde après avoir allumé l’amplificateur.
Quand la température du module d’amplification final devient trop élevée.
Dans le cas d’une panne technique: protection DC!
Quand vous éteignez l’amplificateur, le “protect led” s’allume pendant un bref
instant.
5. SIGNAL LED: Le led vert indique la présence d’un signal audio à l’entrée du canal.
6. LIMIT LED: s’allume juste avant le niveau de sortie maximal sans distorsion de
l’amplificateur. Les « LEDs LIMIT » indiquent que les limiteurs de l’ampli doivent
intervenir. Ces LEDs peuvent s’allumer brièvement de temps en temps mais il ne
peuvent certainement pas restés allumés pendant de longues périodes. Dans ce cas
vous devez diminuer le niveau de sortie!
7. INTERRUPTEUR GENERAL: est utilisé pour allumer ou éteindre l’amplificateur.
Quelques secondes après avoir allumé l’amplificateur il sera prêt à être utilisé.

Câblage des connecteurs JACK:

Source non asymétrique: utilisez des câbles audio
XLR/cinch ou JACK/cinch de bonne qualité.
Câblage des connecteurs XLR:
PIN1: GND PIN2: pos+ PIN3: GND (PIN1 et PIN3
sont reliés)
Câblage des connecteurs JACK:
Châssis: masse Pointe: pos+ Anneau: masse
(châssis et anneau sont reliés)
10.Sorties XLR LINK: vous aurez parfois besoin de
beaucoup de puissance qui ne peut pas être
reproduite par un seul amplificateur. Dans ce cas
les sorties LINK (lien) sont employées pour relier
les entrées/sorties de plusieurs amplificateurs.
Le câblage de ces sorties XLR mâle sont
identiques aux entrées.
11.sélecteur INPUT SENSITIVITY: avec ce
sélecteur vous pouvez parfaitement adapter la sensibilité d’entrée de l’amplificateur:
0,775V; 1,0V ou 1,44V.
12.sélecteur MODE D'OPÉRATION: est utilisé pour choisir le mode de fonctionnement
de l’amplificateur. Le mode d’utilisation le plus courant est le mode “stéréo”. Si vous
avez besoin de plus de puissance, vous pouvez utiliser l’amplificateur en mode bridge.
Référez-vous au point (3) pour plus d’informations.
13.SORTIES SPEAKON L+R: utilisez ces connecteurs Speakon®pour connecter vos
haut-parleurs en mode d’opération « stéréo » ou « mono ». Voici le câblage de ces
connecteurs:
POS (+) = PIN1+ et PIN2+ du connecteur Speakon®
NEG (-) = PIN1- et PIN2- du connecteur
Speakon®
14.SORTIES SPEAKON BRIDGE: utilisez ce
connecteur Speakon®pour connecter vos haut-
parleurs en mode d’opération « bridge ». Référez-
vous aux points (3) et (12) pour plus d’informations.
Voici le câblage de ce connecteur:
POS (+) = PIN1+ et PIN2+ du connecteur
Speakon®
NEG (-) = PIN1- et PIN2- du connecteur Speakon®
15.CABLE SECTEUR : quand tous les câbles audio sont connectés vous pouvez relier
l’amplificateur au réseau 230Vac. N’oubliez pas d’utiliser une prise avec terre !
16.Bouton RESET: Cet ampli est équipé d’un fusible automatique. Si le fusible saute,
vous devez simple appuyer sur le bouton pour le remettre en service.
17.Interrupteur GROUND LIFT: Dans certains cas un bourdonnement dérangeant peut
se produire, du à une boucle de masse de votre installation. En mettant l’interrupteur
Ground lift sur la position “lift” il brisera la boucle de masse entre l’amplificateur et la
masse des châssis des autres composants de votre installation. Suite à cela les
bourdonnements disparaîtront.

OPÉRATION STÉRÉO:
Reliez le signal audio aux 2 entrées (9)
Mettez le commutateur de mode d'opération (12) sur la
position "stéréo"
Reliez les haut-parleurs aux sorties L+R Speakon®(13)
Assurez vous une prise 230Vac avec terre avant de mettre
le câble secteur.
Mettez les gains d'entrée (2) à zéro
Mettez de la musique sur les 2 entrées de l'amplificateur
Allumez l’ampli (7)
Mettez les gains d'entrée (2) sur le niveau désiré
OPÉRATION BRIDGE:
Reliez le signal audio à l’entrée gauche (9) de l’ampli.
Mettez le commutateur de mode d'opération (12) sur la
position "bridge"
Reliez le(s) haut-parleur(s) à la sortie Speakon®Bridge (13)
Assurez vous une prise 230Vac avec terre avant de mettre
le câble secteur.
Mettez les gains d'entrée (2) à zéro
Mettez de la musique sur l’entrée gauche de l'amplificateur
Allumez l’ampli (7)
Mettez le gain du canal gauche (2) sur le niveau désiré, laissez le gain du canal droite
fermé.
OPÉRATION MONO:
Reliez le signal audio à l’entrée gauche (9) de l’ampli.
Mettez le commutateur de mode d'opération (12) sur la
position "mono"
Reliez les haut-parleurs aux sorties L+R Speakon®(13)
Assurez vous une prise 230Vac avec terre avant de mettre
le câble secteur.
Mettez les gains d'entrée (2) à zéro
Mettez de la musique sur l’entrée gauche l'amplificateur
Allumez l’ampli (7)
