Installation of TF Card, SIM Card, PSAM Card and Battery
Notice: Before installing/taking out the available TF card, SIM
card, PSAM card and the battery, please ensure the power supply of
the device is turned off. SIM card, provided by the operators, can
store some basic data such as names and phone numbers of the
contacts. Please be noted that some SIM card may not match the
device and please consult the local operators for replacement.
1. Ensure the device is power-off. Push the locker of the battery

cover of the device to the left in order to separate the back cover
and the device.
2. Take out the battery by pulling the battery belt.
3. Installation of TF card: push the locker of SIM card to the left and
uplift the locker of SIM card from the right side, then push the
locker of TF card to the upside and uplift the locker of TF card
from the downside, next put TF card in the locker (be noted that
the metal sheet of TF card shall face the metal contactor at the

terminal), finally put down the locker of TF card and push the
locker to the downside.
4. Installation of SIM card: push the locker of SIM card to the left
and uplift the locker of SIM card from the right side, then put SIM
card in the locker (be noted that the metal sheet of SIM card
shall face the metal contactor at the terminal), finally put down
the locker of SIM card and push the locker to the downside.
5. Installation of PSAM card: push the locker of PSAM card to the
right and uplift the locker of SIM card from the left side, then put
PSAM card in the locker (be noted that the metal sheet of PSAM
card shall face the metal contactor at the terminal), finally put
down the locker of PSAM card and push the locker to the left
side.
6. Installation of the battery: the metal contactor of the battery shall

be faced to the metal contactor at the terminal; ensure the
contactor of the battery is aligning at the connecting terminal of
the battery. Then, push the battery to the locked position.
7. Installation of the back cover: close the back cover and push the
locker of the back cover of the battery to the right side and finally
lock the back cover.
Plug-in and pullout of USB Cable
As it is shown in the picture, plug in the USB Cable to the pin port.
As it is shown in the picture, press downward to inclined 45°and pull out
the USB Cable.

Battery Charging
The new accessory battery is entitled with only part electric quantity,
so the battery must be charged before using. Normally, the battery
will reach the optimal performance after full charging and discharging
for two or three times.
There are two ways of charging the battery:
●Charging via the adapter.
●Charging via battery bay.
1. Install the battery into the device correctly.
2. Plug one end of the adaptor into the USB port of the device
according to the picture and plug the other end to the outlet of the
standard alternating power supply.
3.After finishing charging, LED indicator light will turn to the green
light and the plot of the battery will show filled.
Remark:
●Please use the accessary adaptor and USB date link for
charging the device.
Basic Functions
Power-on, Power-off and Screen lock
Turn on the device
Put the adequately charged battery into the device and long press the

Power button for 5 seconds to implement power-on order.
Turn off the device
Under the status of starting up, long press Power button for over
seconds and release, then the screen illuminates and an interface
pops out:
●power-off: the device will be turned off if choosing this.
turn off phone function: turn off phone and then quit the
procedure according to the current phone status;
●Cancel: quit the interface after choosing. Turn off the device
after taking out the battery.
Notice: 1. If short press the Power button, the device will be in
the status of deactivation instead of turning off phone function.
2. Click the signal icon and the wireless
supervisor function is entered but phone function is turned off.
Screen lock and Release Screen lock
In the Start interface, click button at the bottom left side, the
terminal enters into screen lock status.

The way of releasing screen lock: slide to the left or the right to
release screen lock according to the tip.
Today Interface
When you turn on the device each time, the device enters into “Today
Interface”. It is shown in the below picture. Today Interface shows all
important information related to the same day, and you can click the
corresponding area to turn on the associated procedures.

Notice: You can change the contents shown in “Today
Interface”by setting up in [ ] [set up] [main screen].
Start Menu
[ ] menu uses the icons aligned in hexagon to browse software
and respond to the stylus pen, such as click and refresh.

When using this mobile phone, you can switch from one program to
the other instead of starting up the new program on the basis of
terminating the using program. You can switch over programs as
follows:
●Click [ ] icon at the bottom left side and opt in the Start
menu.
●You can open up the programs quickly by using the program
function key on the body of the device. Icons of the function keys
represent the default programs. (You can change the function
keys associated to the programs. Please set up in [ ] [Set
Up] [Individual] [Keys] )
Toolbar
Toolbar usually is located at the bottom of the application program
interface (model is shown as follows), including Start menu, left
function key, input panel, right function key and backspace key.
At the far right position of the navigation bar, there may be two icons,
separately as: [ ] to return to the “Today Interface”and [ ] to

quit the using application program.
Status Bar
Status bar mainly shows the titles of the application programs that
are currently using and the icon notification of status information of
the system. The status bar is shown as follows:
●Long press the status bar and the hidden tool bar will appear.
The tool bar includes: search, feedback, synchronization,
phone, voice, battery, clock and alarm clock. The tool bar is
shown in the following picture:

Wi-Fi
The effective distance of this device is relatively long, as long as 180m.
Wi-Fi, full name Wireless Fidelity, also called 802.11b/g Standard, is an
industrial standard defined by IEEE for wireless network communications.
Its characteristics are: fast speed, high reliability, convenient to integrate
with the existing wired Ethernet and lower cost in networking.
Basic Usage
(1)Wi-Fi Connection
[Wi-Fi]>[Wireless]>[ Configuration wireless network],view the available
network list. Tickle the network you want to connect and click [Connect].
After successful connection, the icon showing successful connection with
WI-FI displays in the status bar. If failure to connect, theicon showing failed
connection with Wi-Fi displays in the status bar.
(2)Setting to establish connection between Wi-Fi and AP (wireless router)
1. Click [Wireless Manager] [Wi-Fi], and enter into configuration
wireless network like the below picture shows. The icon with a lock
represent that the network is encrypted and needing of the matching
password.

2. To establish connection with the encrypted AP. Select
MobileXP-Dlink>[Connection] to start setting (AP with strong signal is
recommended) >[Next].

Due to different encryption of Wi-Fi, clear the option of automatically
providing password, input password in [Network
Password] >[Next] >[Finish].
When Wi-Fi is automatically connected to MobileXP-Dlink, if the connected
AP connects with the external network, you can use IE to browse websites.
3. If establishing connection with unencrypted AP, select
[buffalo]-[testing]-[Connection]. As the connection is the unencrypted
AP, all setting are default and no need of inputting password. Do as
the picture shows.

Application of General Scan
Select [GeneralScan] in the application programs, or click [ ]
[explorer] [programs file] [ScanDemo] [GeneralScan], then the
screen will show the following picture:

Now press Scan button and aim at the scanned label, then the interface
will show the corresponding information contents of the label.
Click [Clear] and information in the interface will be cleared.
Click [Exit], and quit the application and then return to the main interface.
RFID Scanning
Select [MifareDemo] in the application programs, or click [ ]
[explorer] [programs file] [MifareDemo] [MifareDemo], then the
screen will show the following picture:
