Built to take it
Featuring a scratchproof keypad, Ascom 9d24 Talker is also made to with-
stand dirt, water and crash landings on the floor – though you won’t have
to worry too much about the latter thanks to a secure slip function.
A multi-purpose handset
The Talker is designed to organise and simplify your working day. It’s also
extremely durable, easy to handle, while also featuring a big, bright backlit
display for excellent readability. What’s more, the Talker offers loudspeaker
for hands-free operation and a vibrator for silent calls.
Always in touch
The 9d24 Talker is the ideal choice for workplaces where personnel are
constantly on the move and need to get in touch with just the touch of a
button: factories, hotels and hospitals, for example.
Keep it personal
The Talker houses a SIM card for identity and personal settings, including a
local phonebook. The central phonebook features an impressive name length
of up to 120 characters, a maximum number length of up to 60 digits as well
as an unlimited number of entries. In addition, the Talker boasts as many as
10 personalised settings.
Equipped with an Ascom 9d24 Talker, you can
talk anywhere. This slim yet robust handset is
designed both for truly demanding environments
and a smooth day at the office. Perfect for pro-
fessionals on the move, the Talker reduces wait-
ing time, speeds up service and improves quality.
The Talker is part of the Ascom 9d system
and is
easily adaptable to existing Ascom systems.

Manual or automatic?
Other features and functions include manual or automatic keypad lock as
well as time and date indication. Naturally, ring signals (5 to choose from)
can be easily muted – a flashing LED and vibrator keeps you on call. The
Talker also features a separate loudspeaker and a water resistant (IP64
classified) headset connector. Furthermore, a generous number of volume
steps allow you to quickly find the right level for you.
Long-lasting with a big capacity
Complemented by a battery pack adapter, Talker’s Lithium Ion battery is
longer lasting than ever before and complemented by an battery pack
adapter. In fact, battery charging continues even during a call once the
handset has been placed in a charger.
The Talker provides a comprehensive call list storage capacity: 20
received, made, and missed calls with time stamp.
Talker is also upgradeable with licence to both the 9d24 MkII Messenger
and 9d24 MkII Protector.

Dust, moisture and shock proof The handset is both dust and water-resistant in accordance with IP64 and designed to withstand
shock in accordance with IEC 68-2-32 (it was dropped twelve times from 1 meter onto solid concrete).
Hands-free operation
A separate loudspeaker together with signal processing allows hands-free operation and use of
the handset for conference calls. When placed in the charger, the handset functions perfectly as a
normal desktop phone.
Illuminated keys The alphanumeric keypad is backlit to facilitate use of the handset in bad light conditions. What’s
more, bright backlighting of display and keypad ensures readability.
Keys for intuitive operation A central navigation key allows convenient orientation of the menus. Personalised soft keys and
hot keys give easy access to the most commonly used functions.
Large graphic display A bright illuminated display showing call list, phonebook and settings.
SIM card identification Each user has a SIM-card, storing the handset ID and all personal settings, including profiles and
soft key functions. It’s easily transferred from one handset to another when the time comes.
Theft protection It is possible to pre-set the phone to work in a specified system – and nowhere else.
Vibrator for silent calls A built-in vibrator makes silent calls ”heard”.
All messaging features are system dependent and require additional equipment.
Central directory Direct access to the company phonebook is available separately.
