Read and follow the guidelines
to ensure the proper use and
application for the Realux™light
xture. Failure to follow these
guidelines may result in light
xture damage, electrical shock,
re and/or injury.
WARNING!
HO bulbs can be HOT.
Handle with care.
Never touch the bulb while operating.
Before working on the xture and/or
aquarium, the light xture must be
disconnected from the power supply.

WARNING
• This product may contain chemicals
known to the state of California to cause
cancer and or birth defects or other
reproductive harm. Wash your hand after
handling this product.
•• It is your sole responsibilities to verify
that the plug and the receptacle are clean
and free of moisture and salt build up at
all times. The receptacle must be free of
water, salt, calcium, magnesium and dust.
Failure to do so can cause fire, damage to
property, permanent damage to the
productproduct and personal injury not limited to
loss of life.
• Do not plug into extension cord/
power strip.
• A drip loop must be used when plugging
all electrical aquarium devices. A drip
loop is that part of the cord hanging
below the receptacle.
•• The national code requires that a GFCI
(Ground fault circuit interrupter) be used
in the branch circuit supplying all power
to water pumps and electrical aquarium
equipment. If you do not have a GFCI,
have an electrician install one prior to
operating any aquarium component.

Read and follow all instructions.
Use this product for its intended use only.
Do not operate if the plug or wire is damaged. Discard the unit.
Do not use with an extension cord or power strip.
Do not place above an open top aquarium.
The national code requires that a G.F.C.I.(ground fault circuit interrupter)
be used in the branch circuit supplying all water pumps and electrical
aquarium equipment. If you do not have a G.F.C.I., have a professional
electrician install one prior to operating any aquarium component.
The light xture and connections need to be free of water, moisture and
salt build-up at all times. Failure to do so will cause electrical arching
resulting in re and/or electrical shock.
The light xture must be turned off and disconnected from the power
supply before weekly maintenance on either the light xture or
the aquarium.
Verify that hands are dry prior to disconnecting the power.
To reduce the risk of electrocution, keep all connections dry.
Never let light xture come in contact with water.
If the light xture falls or comes into contact with water/excess moisture,
unplug the light xture from the power supply before removing. Failure to
do so may cause electrical shock or injury.
Never yank or pull the cord from the electrical outlet.
Plug and receptacle must be free of
water/moisture, salt build-up, calcium,
magesium, and dust. it is your sole
responsibility to verify that the plug and
receptacle are clean and free of these at all
times. Failure to do so will cause re and/or
permanent damage to the light xture.
A drip loop must be arranged if the
aquarium equipment is plugged into the
G.F.C.I. outlet below the aquarium.
To arrange a drip loop, let the cord hang
down in a loop below the outlet, so the plug is
above a section of the cord.
dIREcTIOnS FOR InSTallaTIOn
InSTallIng bUlbS:
Remove protective plastic from the reector.
Slide endcaps onto the bulbs. (Diagram 1)
Insert bulbs into xture. Avoid a twisting motion. Place directly into
the bulb socket.
Slide the endcaps so they will cover the bulb socket

Insert legs into the tracks on the
bottom of the light xture to elevate
the hood above the aquarium.
Plug the unit directly into
a G.F.C.I. outlet.
NOTE:
Do not force the bulb into socket.
Handle with care!
cOnnEcTIng FIXTURES:
Items required: T-Joint bracket
(Optional part. Sold separately)
Slide the T-Joint bracket into
Track A. Avoid any angles. Both
hoods must be level and placed on
a at surface. (Diagram 2)
The T-Joint bracket must be
positioned a minimum of 4in from
the end of the xture. (Diagram 3)
InSTallIng FIXTURE
ElEVaTEd HOOd: Insert the legs
into the tracks on the bottom of
the light xture to elevate the hood
above the aquarium. (Diagram 4)
HangIng: The T-Joint brackets
enable the xture to be hung over
the aquarium. Secure the cable
to the T-Joint bracket. Follow
manufacturers guidelines for
installation on the hanger.
NOTE:
To hang the hood straight, both
T-Joint brackets must be the same
distance from the end of the xture.
All units come equipped with a
replaceable fuse. If the light xture
is not working, check fuse and
replace as needed (1amp/120v).
Replace with only genuine Realux™
HO T5 bulb. Other bulb may not
work properly in the xture.

T.A.A.M. Inc.®warrants that the Realux™HO T5 IV Fixture is free
from defects for a period of six months from the initial date of purchase
shown on the original cash register receipt. T.A.A.M. Inc.®disclaims all
other warranties of merchantability and/or tness for a particular purpose.
Although this limited warranty gives you specic rights, you may have
other rights that vary from state to state. This warranty is void if failure of
the Realux™HO T5 IV Fixture or any part, sealant or component thereof
is due to (i) misuse, (ii) tampering, (iii) negligence, (iv) misapplication, (v)
abuse, (vi) accident and/or (vii) failure to properly (a) maintain, (b) clean,
(c) proper bulbs, (d) reassemble, (e) keep unit away from coming into
contact with water and/or use Realux™HO T5 IV Fixture with a Ground
Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI).
cOnSUmER REmEdIES
T.A.A.M. Inc.®’s entire liability and your sole exclusive remedy
be, either repair or replacement of the Realux™HO T5 IV Fixture only if
you return the defective Realux™HO T5 IV Fixture directly to T.A.A.M.
Inc.®with the original receipt in the original box along with $20.00 for
shipping and handling. Do not send the Realux™HO T5 IV Fixture
by insured mail. The Realux™ HO T5 IV Fixture may be sent by UPS
requiring signature upon arrival. Any replacement Realux™HO T5 IV
Fixture will be warranted for remaining of the original warranty period.
In no event shall any shipping charges be reimbursed. In no event will
T.A.A.M. Inc.®be liable for any consequential or incidental damages
including, but not limited to loss of life, personal injury, property damage,
damaged equipment, lost prots, lost wages, lost savings, lost income,
etc. Some states do not allow for these limitations or exclusion of liability
for incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not
apply to you.
