A. Safety
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE OPERATING
★ Read the instructions carefully. Be familiar with the controls and proper use of the engine.
★ Do not operate this engine when tired, ill, or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication.
★ Children and teens under the age of 15 must not use the engine.
★ Inspect the engine before use. Replace damaged parts. Check for fuel leaks.
★ Be aware of the risk of injury to the head, hands and feet.
★ Clear the area before each use.
ADDING FUEL
WARNING
Gasoline is highly flammable, and it’s vapors can explode if ignited.
★ Always stop the engine and allow it to cool enough before filling the fuel tank.
★ Add fuel in a clean, well-ventilated area outdoors.
★ If gasoline spilled, wipe it up and let it dry completely before staring the engine .
★ Keep gasoline away from sparks, open flames, heat, and other ignition.
★ Don’t overfill Fuel tank. The Fuel level should be always be one inch below the lowest position of the Fuel
tank neck or half full.
★Always tighten the fuel tank cap firmly.
WHEN OPERATING
★Before starting engine, make sure spark plug, muffler, fuel cap and air cleaner are in place.
★Don’t start engine with spark plug removed.
Before starting engine, you should understand all control parts for emergency stop.
Keep children and pets away from a running engine.
★ Don’t tip engine at angle that causes gasoline to spill.
★ Don’t operate this engine continuously at angles exceeding 15ºin any direction.Engine damage could result
from insufficient lubrication.
★ Don’t place anything near a running engine, it may cause fire.

★ When engine running, the muffler will be extremely hot and it will keep hot for a period of time after engine
stopped. Don’t touch it when muffler is hot, let the engine cool completely before moving or storing it.
★ Engine gives off carbon monoxide which is a dangerous gas that can cause nausea and even death. Operating
engine only outdoors.
★ Keep hands and feet away from engine rotating parts.
★ Don’t wear loose clothing, jewelry, short pants, sandals or go barefoot. Secure hair above shoulder level.
★ Wear safety glasses, and ear/hearing protection , when operating engine.
★ Do not smoke.
★ This engine is equipped with a mandated mechanism which stops the engine.Do not interfere with or bypass
this mechanism.Parts of the mechanism may be subject to wear and must be checked once a year for proper
operation.In the event the mechanism fails for any reason, you must not use the engine until it has been
properly repaired.

SYMBOL DEFINITION
Indicates Warning, Danger, and Caution.
Read all Safety, Operating and Maintenance Instructions before running engine.
Always use clean, fresh unleaded fuel.
Refer to User’s manual for the proper type of oil.
Push primer bulb, fully and slowly, 3 times.
Do not touch a hot muffler or cylinder. You may get burned. These parts get extremely
hot from operation. When turned off they remain hot for a short time. Allow to cool before
touching.
Engines emit carbon monoxide. Do NOT run in enclosed area.
Gasoline is flammable. Allow engine to cool before refueling.

★SAE 10W-30 is recommended for
general use. Other viscosities shown
in the chart may be used when the

Oil Capacity
The engine holds approximately 0.38 L
1. Check oil level
WARNING
★ Running engine without oil will damage your engine seriously.
★ When checking oil, turn engine OFF and place it level.
a. Remove dipstick and wipe clean it with cloth.
b. Replace dipstick and do NOT screw it. Remove and check oil level.
c. Oil level should be at upper limit mark on dipstick. If the oil level is near or below the lower limit mark on
the dipstick, add oil slowly and recheck until oil level reaches upper limit of dipstick. Do not overfill.
d. Replace and tighten dipstick.
WARNING
Using dirty oil or incorrect type of oil such as two-stroke engine oil will shorten engine useful life.

2. Fuel
Fuel Information
Type of Fuel to Use
★ This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline with a minimum of 77 octane. Fresh fuel prevents
gum from forming in the fuel system. Purchase fuel in quantity that can be used within 30 days.
★ Do NOT mix oil with gasoline.
★ Keep dust, rubbish and water away from fuel tank.
Fuel tank capacity: 0.78 L
WARNING
★ Gasoline is extremely flammable; it will explode under certain conditions.
★ Turn engine OFF and let engine cool before removing gas tank cap. Never add fuel to engine
indoors.Add fuel only in well-ventilated place. Keep gasoline from sparks, open flames, heat and
other ignition sources.
★ Don’t overfill fuel. The fuel level should be always 1 inch below the lowest position of the fuel tank
neck. Wipe away any fuel spillage from engine and unit before starting engine.
★ Check fuel lines, tank, cap and fittings frequently for cracks or leaks. Replace if necessary.
★ Avoid your skin contact with gasoline.
★ Keep gasoline away from children
★ Do not smoke.

Add fuel:
a. Remove fuel tank cap.
b. Place spout of gasoline container into the fill hole on the fuel tank and fill tank.Do not over fill.
c. Wipe up any gasoline that may have spilled.
d. Reinstall the fuel tank cap.

D. To Start Engine
WARNING
★ Never run engine indoors or in enclosed or poorly ventilated areas. Engine exhaust contains carbon
monoxide,an odorless and deadly gas.
★ Keep hands, feet, hair and loose clothing away from moving parts or engine and equipment.
★ Temperature of muffler and nearby areas may exceed 150ºF(66℃). Avoid these areas.
1. Set the engine control to the “CHOKE” position.
2. Turn the fuel tap to the “ON” position.
3. Start engine
Grasp rope handle. Pull slowly until you can feel drag against you, and then pull rapidly.
4. When engine has warmed up for a short time move the engine control lever to the desired speed position
for cutting.
CAUTION:
Don’t release rope handle suddenly and rebound it back to hit engine. The correct way is release rope
handle smoothly.
