Troubleshooting
SYMPTOMPOSSIBLE CAUSES
Before contacting with the service personnel, consult the following troubleshooting list.
Nopicture, no color
Noisy picture
The remote control doesn’twork.
Blank screen in VGA mode
(When used as the PC monitor)
The color system isnot appropriate.
Possibleinterference from the surroundings.
Replace the power outlet
The batteries need to be replaced.
Clean the front of the remote control (the transmitter).
Check the battery connection.
The resolution set inthe PC isnot identified. Suggest changing the resolution into the
optimum resolution or other standard WINDOWS resolution.
If you still cannot solve the problems, please call the local service center.
Maintenance
The power indicator doesn’tlight up
and the unitwon’tturn on
Brightness & contrast may be set to min. (Refer to the PICTURE settings section.)
The power cord isnot connected.
The POWERbutton on the mainunitisoff.
The LCD screen isthe core part of LCD monitor. Ifthe maintenance and use are incorrect, the useful life will be shortened in
alarge extent, so itisvery important to use and maintainLCD monitor appropriately.
1. Do not overwork the screen
First, do not highlight the screen too long period of time. The display manner of LCD isdifferent from that of CRT screen. Keeping
the picture highlighted too long period of time can short down the life of backlight tube. Therefore, turn off the screen or decrease
the display brightness ifthe unitwill not be used for along period of time inorder to prevent parts inside from being aged or
burned out. Please attach great importance to thiskind of damage because itispermanent and beyond retrieval. To avoidthis
circumstance, suggest to follow the precautions below.
1) Turn off the screen ifno used;
2) Change the display contents indifferent intervalsfrequently;
3)Adjust the backlight to alower level;
4)Display ablank screen;
2. Keep the dry working environment
According to its working principle, LCD screen isvery rigorous about the airtemperature, so please keep the unitworking in
arelativelydry environment, especiallyprevent the moisture from entering the parts inside. Users who are working inthe moist
environment (for example: insome southern area where the airisrelativelymoist) shouldpay more attention to this. Suggest to
use some drying agents to keep the surroundings of the screen dry, or use aclean soft cloth to keep the screen dry any time. If
the moisture has entered the screen, place the unitinadry position to vaporizethe moisture. And inthe meantime, do not turn
on the power, otherwise the LCD polemay be eroded and destroyed permanently..
3. Avoid unnecessary touch or vibration
The LCD screen isvery fragile, do not point to the screen randomlyby hand, because any slight touch may cause partial bad
spots, even form apatch of bad spots ifseriously. Thisiswhy some users find more and more bad spots after using the LCD
screen aperiod of time. Moreover, the impact resistance isalso inferior to the CRT screen, even of the latest model,because
the LCD screen ismade from the precise glass parts and the alarmed and sensitive electricparts and the serious impact will
damage, the screen, the related parts and the circuit. When moving the LCD screen, peopleoften holdone part of the screen
carelessly, which may damage the LCD screen. Therefore, stronglysuggest to avoidthe bigvibration and heavy impact to the
screen. Onlyholdthe frame and stand When moving the unit.

11
4. Timely and correctly cleaning the LCD screen in time
Because of the dirty substances, e.g. dust, there will be some smudges on the surface of LCD screen, so please clean itintime
and inacorrect way. Usuallydrop the soft, non-fibre material e.g. absorbent cotton, lens tissue or glasses fabric, into some water
to clean the screen. Ifitcannot be cleaned well,you can buy some cleaning products which are special for LCD. Because
nowadays the LCD manufacturing techniques focus on the design of low radiation, anti reflector, glare resistance, antistatic
interference and environmental protection, all of the parts have been processed inthe multi-protective treatment, e.g. multi layer
of film, or painted with more special macromoleculepolymer elements, which are easilydestroyed by some chemicalscontaining
alkaline, alcohol or inorganicsalt. Donot use the cleanser containing those substances to clear the screen. Moreover, the frame
of the screen isprocessed intripleantistatictechniques, which achieves anti bacterial and antistaticeffects, reduces the adhesive
dusts, easilykeeps the unitclean and prevent the user against electricshock when touching the screen inadry environment.
5. Do not disassemble the LCD screen by yourself when encountering the problems
Because the LCD screen isvery delicate and fragile, do not replace the parts at random likethe CRT monitor. Donot disassemble
the LCD screen by yourselfregardless of any problems. Ifthe LCD screen cannot work normally, please refer to the professionals
for an assistance. Withinacertainperiod of time after powering off the unit, the CFL converter inthe LCD backlight illumination
assemblystill carries 1000V high voltage (although itismicro electriccurrent). For the LCD screen, even ifitmay not cause
personal harm, the new troublemay occur and the screen may be damaged permanentlyonce non professionalscannot
dispose of itwell.
