Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a
replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You
are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not
amount to a major failure.
1. TEAC warrants that this product is free from defects in material and workmanship under normal domestic use with reasonable care and skill.
Maintenance and cleaning (i.e. laser head) is not covered by this warranty. The TEAC warranty only applies to TEAC products purchased
NEW from a TEAC Authorised Retailer in Australia. This warranty only applies to the original purchaser and cannot be transferred.
2. The benefits to the consumer given by this Warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the cons umer under a law in relation to
goods or services to which the warranty relates, being the Australian Consumer Law.
3. Refund or replacement via your TEAC Authorised Retailer is available for a period of 14 days after purchase for goods that have been
inspected and determined to have a major failure. Refund and exchange is not applicable for change of mind.
4. Subject to the terms herein, this warranty effectively covers TEAC products, excluding products purchased for commercial purposes, as
specified in the Warranty Periods Table below from the date of purchase.

Authorised Service Centre Service
The purchaser is required to send the product at their own expense to the nearest TEAC Authorised Service Centre for repair. In this event,
proof of purchase is required to support a warranty claim. After the repair, the product will be available for collection by or return to the
purchaser at a fee upon request. TEAC in-home service can be made available at a fee upon request.
6. A 12-month replacement warranty is applicable to all Accessories such as Remotes, Power Adapters and Cables.
7. TEAC will ensure to the best of its abilities that all required parts are made available for any required service/repair.
8. TEAC Australia Pty Ltd and its Authorised Service Centres will use their best endeavours to complete product repairs within a reasonable
period based on available resources and workload during the time when service is requested and performed.
9. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the product. In the case of a replacement, the product may be replaced, with a refurbished unit of the
same type or, if one is unavailable, a similar refurbished model with equal or better features and specifications.
10. Please be advised that if the product presented for repair is capable of retaining user-generated data, the data may be lost during servicing.
Customers are strongly encouraged to back up all important information/data before sending the product in for service/repair.
11. Service will be provided only during normal business hours and under safety conditions and circumstances. TEAC and its authorised service
agents can refuse any repair if safety, in relation to OH&S, becomes a concern to its staff or authorised service agents’ personnel.
12. The warranty is void and warranty claims may be refused, subject to the Australian Consumer Law, if:
a) The product was not transported, installed, operated or maintained according to manufacturer instruction, or
b) The product was abused, damaged, tampered, altered or repaired by any unauthorised persons, or
c) Product failure is due to accidents during use, installation or transit, power surges, use of defective or incompatible external devices, exposure
to abnormal conditions such as excessive temperatures or humidity, or entry of liquids, objects or creatures into the product, cockroach
infestations, or
d) The customer is unable to provide proof of purchase of the product for verification, or
e) The serial number of the product is missing or has been tampered with.
13. Where any repairs or services required that are outside of the terms and conditions of this Warranty are requested by the customer, or where
a fault is determined to be outside of the terms and conditions of the Warranty, the customer shall be charged for the cost of the repair.
14. No one is authorised to assume any liability on behalf of TEAC or impose any obligation on it, in connection with the sale of any equipment
other than as stated in this warranty and outlined above.
15. TEAC and/or its Authorised Service Centres reserve the right to inspect and verify whether the product is exhibiting a major failure as claimed
by customers/retailers.

Important Safety Instructions
• Read these instructions – All the safety and operating instructions should be read
before this product is operated.
• Keep these instructions – The safety and operating instructions should be retained
for future reference.
• Heed all warnings – All warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions
should be adhered to.
• Follow all instructions – All operating and use instructions should be followed.
• Do not use this apparatus near water – The appliance should not be used near water
or moisture – for example, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool, and the like.
• Clean only with dry cloth.
• Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacture’s
instructions.
• Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other
apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
• Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding plug. A polarized
plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding plug has two blades
and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your
safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for
replacement of the obsolete outlet.
• Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at the plugs,
convenience receptacles, and at the point where they exit from the apparatus.
• Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
• Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified
by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart or
rack is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus
combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
• Unplug the apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for
long periods of time.
• Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus
has been damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid
has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus has been exposed to rain
or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
• Please keep the unit in a well-ventilated environment.
• WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus
to rain or moisture. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and
that objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall not be placed on apparatus.
• WARNING: The wall socket plug is used as disconnect device, the disconnect device
shall remain readily operable.
• WARNING: The batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine,
fire or the like.
• This lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle is intended
to alert the user to the presence of non-insulated “dangerous voltage” within the

the presence of important operating and maintenance instructions in the literature
accompanying the appliance.
• This equipment is a Class II or double insulated electrical appliance. It does not
require a grounded connection.

Safety Information
To ensure reliable and safe operation of this equipment, please read carefully all the
instructions in this user guide, especially the safety information below.
Electrical safety
•The TV set should only be connected to a main power supply with voltage that
matches the label at the rear of the product.
•To prevent overload, do not share the same power supply socket with too many
other electronic components.
•Do not place any connecting wires where they may be stepped on or tripped
over.
•Do not place heavy items on them, which may damage the leads.
•Hold the main plug, not the wires, when removing from a socket.
•During a thunderstorm or when not using the television for long periods, Pull the
plug out.
•Do not allow water or moisture to enter the TV or power adapter. Do not use in
wet, moist areas, such as bathrooms, steamy kitchens or near swimming pools.
•Pull the plug out immediately, and seek professional help if the main plug or
cable is damaged, liquid has spilt onto the set, if accidentally exposed to water
or moisture, if anything accidentally penetrates the ventilation slots or if the set
does not work normally.
•Do not remove the safety covers. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
Trying to service the unit yourself is dangerous and may invalidate the product’s
warranty.
Only qualified personnel should service this apparatus.
•To avoid battery leakage, remove exhausted batteries from the remote control, or
when not using for a long period.
•Do not break open or throw exhausted batteries in a fire.
Physical safety
•Do not block ventilation slots in the back cover. You may place the TV in a
cabinet, but ensure at least 5 cm (2”) clearance all around.
•Do not tap or shake the TV screen, this may damage the internal circuits. Take
good care of the remote control.
•To clean the TV use a soft dry cloth. Do not use solvents or petroleum based
fluids.
•Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or
other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

Wall Mounting
The TV is provided with mounting holes for a VESA approved wall mounting bracket
(NOT SUPPLIED). The VESA mounting pattern is 200 x 100mm. Remove the screws
holding the base to the base bracket and lift the base away (do not remove the base
mounting brackets). Mount the VESA bracket using 4 x M6 x 8 isometric threaded
screws (not supplied). Do not use screws longer than 10 mm; damage will occur to
the internal components.
Caution: Your new TV is heavy; please consult with a professional wall mount installer
WARNING: Large TVs can fall over and cause major damage injury. If you are standing
a large TV on its feet, we recommend that you fix the body of the TV to the wall using
furniture straps, so that the TV cannot be tipped over by children or pets.

If the remote control signal becomes weak or stops working, replace the batteries in
the remote control.
1. Open the battery cover.
2. Insert two size-AAA batteries. (Place the batteries with their terminals
corresponding to the (+) and (-) indications in the battery compartment.)

lnitial Setup
When you first power on the TV, the following menu will guide you through some simple
settings. The TV will take a few seconds to boot up.
1 Language
Press ◄/► buttons to select the OSD language.
And then press OK to enter the next step.
2 Country
Press ◄/► buttons to select the country.
And then press OK to enter the next step.
3 ECO mode
Press ◄/► button to select the ECO mode. Home mode is the recommended choice. Shop
mode has been tuned for shop display, which
uses more power, and uses settings may reset
periodically.
And then press OK to enter the next step.
4 Auto Tuning
Press ◄/► buttons to select the option, and then press the ▼ button and OK to start tuning.
Note: Availability of DTV and ATV channels depend on your location and antenna reception.

Main Menu
Press the MENU button to display the MAIN OSD MENU;
Use the remote control to access the full functionality of the TV controls.
Press the ◄/► buttons to select the MENU you want;
Press the OK button to enter the sub menu,
You can press the MENU button to save and return back to the previous menu, and press
the EXIT button to exit the menu entirely.

Applications

1. Picture Menu
To customise picture settings, use this menu.
Press the MENU button to display the main menu.
Press the ◄ / ► buttons to select Picture in the main menu, and then press the OK button to
enter.
The picture shown may not reflect all available
settings. Scroll down with the ▼ button to
display more settings.
Picture Mode: Choose from presets or a
customisable user setting.
Contrast: Adjust the dark / light contrast level.
Brightness: Adjust the brightness level.
Colour: Adjust the colour saturation.
Tint: (only applies in NTSC picture mode).
Sharpness: Adjust the definition of the edges
of objects and colour blocks.
Contrast Booster: Adjust contrast even more
with Low / Middle / High settings / default /
off etc.
Colour temperature: Choose between Warm /
Cool / Normal.
DNR: Digital Noise Reduction - can reduce
picture noise (grain, pixellation etc).
Aspect: Adjust the aspect ratio and picture
placement.
1. Press the ▲/▼ buttons to select the option that you want to adjust in the Picture menu, and
then press the ► button to enter.
2. Press the ◄/► buttons to adjust.
3. After finishing your adjustment, press the MENU or OK button to save and return back to the
previous menu, and press the EXIT button to exit the entire menu entirely.

Bass: Adjust the level of bass audio(1-100)
Treble: Adjust the level of treble audio(1-100)
Balance: Adjust the Left/Right audio output.
Surround: If you have surround sound speaker

AVL: Audio Volume Leveler-Use to limit the
range of loudness/softness .If you find yourself
adjusting the volume often during a movie or
between programs an TV commercials,you may
find the feature useful.
Digital Audio Output: Turn digital audio output
PCM/Auto /Off.
Audio Description: Some programs /videos may
provide an extra narrative track for the visually
impaired audience .You can turn this on/off and
set the ‘Mix Level’.

3. Channel Menu
Press the MENU button to display the main menu.
Press the ◄/► buttons to select Channel in the main menu, and then press the
DTV settings: Adjust Time zone /Daylight
savings settings, and Subtitle /Audio settings.
Channel Edit: Manage TV channels. For details,
see ”Channel management” in the Watching
DTV/ATV section.
Country: Choose your country.
DTV Type: Terrestrial/Cable
Auto Tuning: Scan for available TV channels
based on your location and antenna reception .
ATV manual Tuning: Scan manually for
Analogue TV channels. (Analogue TV availability
depends on your location and antenna reception
and may be obsolete in some areas).
DTV manual tuning : Scan manually for digital TV
channels.

Press the ◄/► buttons to select Applications in the main menu, and then press the
Menu language: Choose between English and
other languages.
Teletext language: Choose the teletext
language
Note: Availability of teletext in your area
depends on local teletext broadcasters
PC Settings: If the TV is connected via the PC
input,adjust the picture placement with these
options.
System Lock: Turn the locking system on/off.
Default password: 0000
Parental control: Choose a program rating
threshold to be password protected.
Key lock
Change PIN:Change the PIN by keying in
the new PIN twice.
Auto power Down: This setting puts the TV on
a shut -off timer when it has been left playing
programs for a long time.
PVR Menu: (Please see below for PVR
instructions).

5. Setup Menu
The picture is for a reference only; the actual item is the standard.
Press the MENU button to display the main menu.
Press the ◄/► buttons to select Setup in the main menu, then press the
OSD Timer: Customise the time needed to
elapse before the on -screen menu disappears.
If you like to have more time to make menu
selection,you can choose up to 60s long.
Blue screen: Turn on a blue screen when there
is no signal detected. Default: OFF(Black)

1. Press the ▲/▼ buttons to select the option that you want to adjust in the Setup menu, then
press the OK or ► button to enter.
2. Press the ◄/►buttons to adjust.
3. After finishing your adjustment, press the MENU button to save and return back to the
previous menu and press the EXIT button to exit the entire menu.
