V放置注意事项
o当安装本机时，
为了有良好的散热效果，
请把它与墙壁及其
他设备之间，
留有一点空间
（至少3厘米或1"）。
如果将其安装在机架中，
为了防止过热请在顶面留有至少有
5厘米
（2"）
的空间和背面10 厘米
（4”）
的空间。
如未能留有此距离，
可能导致内部积热并引起火灾。
o不要将本机安装于靠近任何热源的地方。
避免将本机暴露于
阳光直射或靠近如散热器、
加热器，
或其他加热设备。
此外，

连接设备
A 时钟输出
（10MHz OUT）
接口
输出10MHz的时钟信号。
将这些时钟输出接口连接到CD播放器、

使用市售的BNC同轴电缆连接。
B 电源插座 (~IN)

基本操作
1 将电源开关推到“开”位置开机。
o稳定晶体振荡器

V当长时间不使用本设备时，

2 在连接的设备上开始播放。
确认时钟输入已锁定在接收设备上。

一般事项
电源没有开启。
e检查电源线是否完全插入电源插座。
如果插座带有开关，

e将不同的电气设备连接到插座上以确认它有提供电源。

e如果连接线接近电源线，

和设置而变化。

After reading it, keep it in a safe place for future reference.

VPlacement precautions
oWhen installing this unit, leave a little space (at least 3 cm or 1")
between it and walls and other devices in order to allow good
heat dissipation.
If you put it in a rack, take precautions to prevent overheating by
leaving at least 5 cm (2") open above the top of the unit and at
least 10 cm (4") open behind the unit.
Failure to provide these gaps could cause heat to build up inside
and result in fire.
oDo not install this unit in a location that could become hot.
This includes places that are exposed to direct sunlight or near
a radiator, heater, stove or other heating equipment. Moreover,
do not place it on top of an amplifier or other equipment that
generates heat. Doing so could cause discoloration, deformation
or malfunction.
oPlace the unit in a stable location near the audio system that you
will use with it.
oDo not move the unit during use.
oThe voltage supplied to the unit should match the voltage
printed on the rear panel. If you are in any doubt regarding this
matter, consult an electrician.
oDo not open the body of the unit as this might result in damage
to the circuitry or cause electric shock. If a foreign object should
get into the unit, contact your dealer.
oDo not place anything, not even CDs, CD-Rs, LP records or cas-
sette tapes, on top of the unit. Doing so could cause damage.
oWhen removing the power plug from an outlet, always pull
directly on the plug; never yank on the cord itself.
Note about pinpoint feet
High-precision metal pinpoint feet are attached firmly to the bot-
tom plate of this unit.
The stands for these feet are loose, but when the unit is placed in
position, it is supported by these pinpoint feet, which will effectively
disperse vibrations.

oApply the included pads to the bottoms of the foot-stands to
avoid scratching the surface where the unit is placed.
Before use
Wipe dirt from the top cover and other panel surfaces using a soft
cloth that has been slightly dampened with a diluted neutral cleanser.
Do not wipe with chemical cleaning cloths, thinner or other chemi-
cal agents. Doing so could damage the surface.
VFor your safety, disconnect the power cord from
the outlet before cleaning.

Connecting equipment
A Clock output (10MHz OUT) connectors
These output 10MHz clock signals.
Connect these clock output connectors to the clock input con-
nectors of CD players, D/A converters and other digital devices
that support 10MHz input.
Use a commercially-available BNC coaxial cable for
connection.
B Power inlet (~IN)
Connect the supplied power cord here.
After all other connections are complete, connect the power
cord’s plug to a wall outlet.
VDo not use any power cord other than the one
included with this unit. Use of other power cords
could result in fire or electric shock.
VDisconnect the power plug from the outlet if you
will not use the unit for a long time.
VComplete all other connections before turn-
ing the unit on.
oCarefully read the manuals of the devices that you are
connecting and follow their instructions when making
connections.
oDo not bundle connecting cables with power cords. Doing
so could cause noise.
oConnect all plugs completely.

Names and functions of parts
A POWER switch
Use to turn the unit on and off.
B Meter (OVEN)
This shows the operation status (heater output) of the oven
in the OCXO. When the power is turned on, movement of the
meter needle will be unstable. After about two minutes, how-
ever, it will stop between 0 and 6, allowing you to confirm that
the temperature has become stable. (The position at which the
needle stops will vary according to the ambient temperature
where the unit is located.)
oEven after two minutes have passed, operation to further
increase stability will occur following temperature changes
inside the oven. For this reason, we recommend allowing
it to warm up for about 10 minutes before actually using it.
C Meter brightness knob ( )
Use this to adjust the brightness of the meter.
OCXO
The master clock that provides the reference for this unit con-
tains an oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO). This OCXO,
which actually has both a crystal oscillator and an electronic
oscillator inside a compact oven, achieves extremely high fre-
quency stability.

Basic operation
1 Shift the POWER switch to its ON position to
turn the unit on.
oIt takes two minutes for the oscillation frequency of the crys-
tal oscillator (OCXO) to stabilize.
VWhen not using the unit for a long time, set
its POWER switch to OFF.
2 Start playback on a connected device.
Confirm that clock input has been locked on the receiving
device. For details about how to do this, see the operation
manual for the device receiving clock input.
If you experience a problem with this unit, please take a moment to
review the following information before requesting service. If it still
does not operate correctly, contact the retailer where you purchased
the unit.
General
The unit does not turn on.
eCheck that the power cord is completely plugged into the
power outlet. If the outlet is switched, confirm that the switch
is in the ON position.
eConnect a different electrical device to the outlet to confirm
that it is supplying power.
No sound is output.
eReconfirm the connections with other equipment.
There is a humming noise.
eIf a connecting cable is near a power cord, fluorescent light or
similar cause of interference, increase the distance between
them as much as possible.
The clock output is not synchronizing another
device.
eConfirm that the connected device supports 0.5Vrms 10MHz
clock.
Clock signals that can be input and synchronized might vary
according to how each device is connected and set. Refer to
the operation manuals of the connected devices.
