mains plug, or one has to be fitted, then
follow the instructions given below:

As these colours may not correspond

be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter N or coloured

Basic Operation
OChoose the installation location of your
unit carefully. Avoid placing it in direct
sunlight or close to a source of heat.
Also avoid locations subject to
vibrations and excessive dust, heat, cold
or moisture. Keep away from such
sources that hum, such as transformers
or motors.
ODo not open the cabinet as this might
result in damage to the circuitry or
electrical shock. If a foreign object
should get into the set, contact your
dealer.
OBe sure not to handle discs with dirty
fingers. Never insert a disc which has a
crack on the surface.
OWhen removing the power plug from the
wall outlet, always pull directly on the
plug, never yank the cord.
OTo keep the laser-pickup clean, do not
touch it, and do not forget to close the
disc tray.
ODo not attempt to clean the unit with
chemical solvents as this might damage
the finish. Use a clean, dry cloth.
OKeep this manual in a safe place for
future reference.
This unit has been designed specifically for
reproduction of compact discs bearing the
“D” mark. No other discs can be
reproduced.
OAlways place the compact disc in the
disc tray with the label facing upward.
(Compact discs can be played only on
one side.)
OTo remove a disc from its storage case,
press down on the center of the case
and lift the disc out, holding it carefully
by the edges.
How to remove the disc
How to hold the disc
OFingermarks and dust should be
carefully wiped off the disc’s recorded
surface with a soft cloth.
Wipe radially
ONever use such chemicals as record
sprays, antistatic sprays or fluid,
benzine or thinner to clean compact
discs. Such chemicals will do
irreparable damage to the disc’s plastic
surface.
ODiscs should be returned to their cases
after use to avoid serious scratches
that could cause the laser pickup to
“skip.”
ODo not expose discs to direct sunlight or
high humidity and temperature for
extended periods.
Long exposure to high temperatures
can warp the disc.
ODo not stick paper or write anything
with a ballpoint pen on the surface of
the label side.
When operating the remote control unit,
point it towards the remote sensor on the
front panel of the unit.
∑Battery Installation
1. Remove the battery compartment
cover.
2. Insert two “AA” (IEC, R6, SUM-3) dry
batteries.
Make sure that the batteries are
inserted with their positive ≠and
negative –poles positioned correctly.
3. Close the cover until it clicks.
Battery Replacement
If you notice that the distance between
the remote control unit and the player
for correct operation becomes shorter,
it indicates that the batteries are
exhausted. In this case replace the
batteries with new ones.
Precautions Concerning Batteries
OBe sure to insert the batteries with
correct positive ≠and negative –
polarities.
OUse batteries of the same type. Never
use different types of batteries
together.
ORechargeable and non-rechargeable
batteries can be used. Refer to the
precautions on their labels.
OWhen the remote control unit is not to
be used for a long time (more than a
month), remove the batteries from the
remote control unit to prevent them
from leaking. If they leak, wipe away
the liquid inside the battery
compartment and replace the batteries
with new ones.
ODo not heat or disassemble batteries
and never dispose of old batteries by
throwing them in fire.

Before Use
Read This Before Operating
Beware of condensation
When the player (or a compact disc) is
moved from a cold to a warm place or
used after a sudden temperature
change, there is the danger of
condensation. Water vapor in the air
could condense on the mechanism or
the laser pickup. If droplets of water
form on these parts, correct playback
will be impossible because the laser
cannot read the information from the
disc correctly. To prevent this, if you
are going to use the player in a
condition where condensation could
occur, you should leave the player for 1
or 2 hours after plugging it into an AC
outlet depending on the amount of
condensation. If this is done, the player
will stabilize at the temperature of its
surroundings.
Handling the Discs Remote Control Unit

Before making connections, be sure to
read the instruction manual of the stereo
amplifier carefully and turn the power of
the stereo amplifier and the player OFF.
Caution:
If the CD player interferes with the tuner,
TV receiver, etc., allow a reasonable
distance between them.

amplifier
LINE OUT terminals
Connect the LINE OUT terminals to the CD
or AUX terminals of the stereo amplifier
using an RCA pin plug cord.
…Make sure to match the color-coded
plugs to the appropriate jacks on the
components — white to white (L), and
red to red (R).
…Be sure to insert each plug securely.
∑Power cord
Be sure to connect the power cord to an AC
outlet which supplies the correct voltage.
…Hold the power plug when plugging or
unplugging the power cord.
∑Headphones
When using headphones, connect the
headphone plug into the PHONES jack.
OAdjust the level of the signals output
from the phones jack.

∑Loading a disc
1. Press the POWER button to ON.
The tray turns clockwise automatically.
2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE (∫) button to
open the disc tray.
3. Load the disc(s) on the disc tray(s),
label side(s) up.
4. Press the DISC SKIP button to load all
5 discs.
OEach time the DISC SKIP button is
pressed, the tray turns clockwise to the
next tray position.
5. Press the OPEN/CLOSE (∫) button
again.
Caution:
ODo not touch the carousel while it is
rotating.
ODo not put anything except a compact
disc into the tray. Foreign objects can
damage the mechanism.
∑Playing a disc
6. Press the DISC NO.(1~5) button which
corresponds to the tray number of the
disc to be played.
OWhen only a disc number has been
selected, play will start on track 1 of the
selected disc.
7. Press the Úor Æbutton to select a
track number.
OIf only a track number is selected when
in STOP mode, play will start with the
selected track of the displayed disc
number.
OIf a track number is selected which is
higher than the highest track number on
the disc, play will start with the last
track on the disc.
8. Press the PLAY (Á) button.
The ∏and EACH indicators light.
OThe track’s elapsed playing time is
displayed, and the indicator showing the
track number blinks.
OWhen tracks have been played, their
numbers will disappear from the Music
Calendar display.
OIf the total track number exceeds 20, the
track number should be confirmed on
the TRACK display
Example:
Track 4 on disc number 2 has been playing
for 2 minutes 35 seconds.
Elapsed playing time of current track
∑To temporarily suspend
playback
14.Press the PAUSE (ƒ) button
(pause mode).
OPlayback stops at the current position
and the ƒindicator lights. To resume
playback from the same position, press
the PLAY (Á) or PAUSE (ƒ)button.
∑To stop playback
15.Press the STOP (∑) button.
OThe player enters STOP mode.
The TIME display shows “0:00”.
The TRACK number display shows “1“.
Notes:
OThis unit will stop when the last track on
disc number 5 has finished playing.
The tray number and disc mark of a
completed disc remains lit.
OWhen a tray is empty and the CD
changer tries to play it, the disc number
disappears. When a disc is loaded but
is not played, the disc number remains
lit.
∑To unload the disc
16.Press the OPEN/CLOSE (∫) button.
OWhen the tray opens, the tray numbers
of the two trays on your side appear
and the disc marks go out.
OEvery time the DISC SKIP button is
pressed to move the disc tray, the next
disc number appears and the disc mark
goes out.

9. Press the DISC SKIP button to select the
next disc.
ODuring PLAY mode, select the disc and
track numbers, then within 10 seconds
press the PLAY (∏) button. Play will
start with the selected track.
10.Press the TIME button to check the
playing time.
Press the TIME button once, twice, or
three times to display the following
information.
1Press the TIME button once during
playback to display the remaining time
of the track being played (EACH
REMAIN lights).
2Press the TIME button twice to display
the total disc playback time and the total
number of tracks on the disc (TOTAL
lights).
3Displayed when the TIME button is
pressed three times. The time displayed
is the total remaining playback time from
the position being played, to the end of
the current disc (TOTAL REMAIN lights).
4Press the TIME button again to view the
current track’s elapsed playing time
(EACH lights).
∑Music skip
11.Press and release the Æbutton to
advance to the beginning of the next
track.
OPress and hold down the Æ button to
advance to subsequent tracks.
12.Press and release the Úbutton to
return to the beginning of the currently
playing track.
OPress and hold down the Úbutton to
return to previous tracks.
∑Manual search
13.Press and hold down either SEARCH
/Òbutton to quickly search a
disc in the forward or reverse direction.
OThis unit features 2-speed search. The
search speed will increase after the
button is held down for approximately
three seconds.
OSearch is possible during PAUSE mode,
but no sound is heard.
OThe CD changer will not search beyond
the beginning or the end of a disc.
Disc numbers and disc marks
1. When a disc number lights
The CD changer does not yet detect a
disc.
2. When a disc number and disc mark
lights
The CD changer has detected a disc
in the tray.
3. When a disc number and disc mark
go out
The CD changer detects no disc in
the tray.

∑Storing a program
Up to 32 tracks can be selected from any
discs and played in any desired order.
To store a program, follow the steps listed
below:
OA program cannot be entered during
PLAY mode.
OA track number can be entered easily
into a program by using the TRACK
NO.(1~9, 0) buttons instead of the
Úor Æbuttons.
1. Press the STOP (∑) button.
2. Press the DISC NO.(1~5) button to select
a disc number.
3. Press the Úor Æbutton to select a
track number.
4. Press the PROGRAM button.
The PROGRAM indicator lights.
The TIME display shows “P-01“.
OIf the PROGRAM button is pressed
before a disc number and a track
number are selected, track 1 of the
displayed disc number is entered as
program selection number 1.
OTo enter all of the tracks on a disc, select
the disc number with a DISC NO.(1~5)
button, then press the PROGRAM
button.
The TRACK number display shows “A”.
OThe first program selection is now
stored in the program memory.
5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 to store more tracks
(a maximum of 32 tracks can be stored).
OIf you try to enter more than 32
selections, the TIME display shows
“FULL” for about 1 second.
6. Press the STOP (∑) button to complete
the programming process.
Otherwise, press the PLAY (∏) button
to start disc play.
∑Changing a program
1. Display the selection to be changed by
pressing the CHECK (or PROGRAM
CHECK) button.
2. Enter a new program selection.
Notes:
OTrack numbers which exceed the
highest track on a disc can be
programmed, but during play these
tracks will be deleted.
OThe time shown in the TIME display may
differ slightly from the time listed in the
literature from the compact disc.
∑Playing a program
1. Press the PLAY (∏) button after
programming.
2. Programmed play starts from the
beginning of the first programmed
track.
OWhen programmed play starts, all the
entered track numbers are displayed for
each disc, and the currently playing
track number blinks.
OWhen all of the programmed tracks
have been played, the CD changer
stops.
The ∏indicator goes off.
The PROGRAM indicator remains lit.
Example:
a) To play track 5, track 2, and track 8 on
disc number 2 in the programmed
sequence.
b) The first programmed track starts to
play.
c) The second programmed track starts to
play.
d) The third programmed track starts to
play.
Notes:
ODisc and track numbers cannot be
selected during programmed play.
OThe DISC SKIP button cannot be used
during programmed play.
∑Checking the programmed
contents
The programmed contents can be checked
easily using the CHECK (or PROGRAM
CHECK) button.
1. Press the STOP (ª) button.
2. Press the CHECK (or PROGRAM CHECK)
button.
Each time the CHECK (or PROGRAM
CHECK) button is pressed, the TRACK
number and DISC number appear in the
programmed order.
∑Adding selections to a program
1. To add new selections to a program
after programming, first press the STOP
(∑) button.
2. Press the CHECK (or PROGRAM CHECK)
button repeatedly until the last
programmed number lights.
3. Select the DISC/TRACK number.
4. Press the PROGRAM button.
∑Ending programmed play
1. Press the STOP (∑) button to end
programmed play.
2. Press the CLEAR button to clear the
program memory.
The PROGRAM indicator goes off.
ODuring programmed play, if the CLEAR
button is pressed, programmed play
ends and normal play continues from
that point.
OThe program memory is also cleared if
the CD changer’s power is switched off.
∑Directly accessing a track
1. Select a disc number using the DISC
NO.(1~5) buttons.
2. Select a track number using the TRACK
NO.(1~9, 0) buttons and then press the
PLAY (∏) button.
OTrack numbers can be designated from
“1” to “99”. When a track number which
is not contained in a disc is designated,
the last track of the disc will be played.

Basic Operation
Press the REPEAT button to select the
desired type of repeat disc play.
1. All of the tracks on the loaded discs

3. All programmed tracks
a) Various tracks on several discs
b) All of the tracks on one disc
c) One track
∑Repeat play: All of the tracks on
the loaded discs
1. Press the STOP (∑) button, then press
the CLEAR button.
OThe PROGRAM indicator must be off.
2. Press the REPEAT button once.
The REPEAT ALL indicator lights.
3. Press the PLAY (∏) button.
The ∏indicator lights.
OAll of the loaded discs are played
repeatedly until the STOP (∑) button is
pressed.
∑Repeat play: One track
1. Press the STOP (∑) button, then press
the CLEAR button.
OThe PROGRAM indicator must be off.
2. Press the REPEAT button repeatedly
until “REPEAT ONE” is displayed.
3. Press a DISC NO.(1~5) button to select a
disc number.
4. Press the Úor Æbutton to select a
track number.
5. Press the PLAY (∏) button.
OThe selected track is played repeatedly
until the STOP (∑) button is pressed.
Notes:
OThe REPEAT function can be released by
pressing the REPEAT button until the
REPEAT indicators go off. If this is done
during playback, the player will continue
normal playback.
OWhen the last track on disc number 5
has finished playing ( during normal
play), the CD changer will stop.
∑Repeat play: All programmed
tracks
1. Press the STOP (∑) button, then press
the CLEAR button.
OThe PROGRAM indicator must be off.
2. Enter one of the following types of
programs ( see “Program and Program
Play”). The PROGRAM indicator lights.
a) Various tracks on several discs
b) All of the tracks on one disc
c) One track (1 disc number and 1 track
number)
3. Press the REPEAT button once.
The REPEAT ALL indicator lights.
4. Press the PLAY (∏) button.
OAll of the programmed tracks are played
repeatedly, in order, until the STOP (∑)
button is pressed.
∑Repeat play: One programmed
track
1. Press the STOP (∑) button, then press
the CLEAR button.
OThe PROGRAM indicator must be off.
2. Enter one of the following types of
programs ( see “Program and Program
Play”). The PROGRAM indicator lights.
a) Various tracks on several discs
b) All of the tracks on one disc
3. Press the REPEAT button twice.
The REPEAT ONE indicator lights.
4. Press the PLAY (∏) button.
5. Press the Úor Æbutton to select
the programmed disc and track to be
repeated.
OThe programmed track selected will
play repeatedly until the STOP (∑)
button is pressed.
OIf a disc is selected which has been
programmed to play “ALL” selections,
only track 1 will play repeatedly until the
STOP (∑) button is pressed.
Note:
OThe PROGRAM REPEAT function can be
released by pressing the REPEAT button
until the REPEAT indicators go off.
Programmed play continues from that
point.
1. Press the SHUFFLE button.
The SHUFFLE indicator lights.
2. Press the PLAY (∏) button.
The ∏indicator lights and shuffle play
begins.
OThe CD changer’s built-in micro-
computer will select and play disc
tracks at random.
OIf tracks have been programmed, the
programmed tracks will be played at
random.
OWhen all of the shuffle programmed
tracks have been played, the CD
changer will stop.
OPressing the Úor Æbutton during
the shuffle programmed play changes
track numbers in the programmed order.
OIf a new track number or disc number is
selected during normal shuffle play, and
the PLAY (∏) button is pressed, the CD
changer will play the new track and
shuffle play will continue.
OIf a new track number is selected during
the shuffle play of programmed tracks,
and the PLAY (∏) button is pressed, the
new track number will be ignored, and
shuffle play will continue.
3. Press the SHUFFLE button again to
release this mode.
OWhen the SHUFFLE button is pressed,
shuffle play will end and normal ( or
programmed) disc play will continue
from that point.
4. Press the STOP (∑) button to end
shuffle play.

∑Checking the contents of all
discs
1. Press the INTRO (or INTRO CHECK)
button.
The INTRO indicator lights.
2. Press the PLAY (∏) button.
The first 10 seconds of each track is
played back on all discs.
OIf the INTRO (or INTRO CHECK) button is
pressed during intro check disc play, the
intro check mode will end and normal
disc play will continue from that point.
OIf you press the INTRO (or INTRO
CHECK) button during normal play, intro
check disc play begins with the next
track.
If you perform the same action while a
track has played for less than 10
seconds, the intro check disc play starts
from that track.
OWhen the INTRO (or INTRO CHECK)
button is pressed during STOP mode,
the first track on the disc number shown
in the DISC NO. display will be played for
about 10 seconds, then the second track
on the disc will be played for about 10
seconds. Disc play will continue in this
way until all the tracks on all the discs
have been scanned.
∑Selecting a disc for intro
checking
1. Press the INTRO (or INTRO CHECK)
button.
2. Select a disc number using the DISC
NO.(1~5) buttons.
3. Press the PLAY (∏) button.
OIn order to designate a track number on
the disc, press the DISC NO.(1~5) button
first, and then press the TRACK NO.
(1~9, 0) button.
OUpon finishing the entire intro check
disc play, the mode display changes to
stop.
∑Checking the contents of
programmed tracks
1. Program the tracks.
The PROGRAM indicator lights.
2. Press the INTRO (or INTRO CHECK)
button.
The INTRO indicator lights.
3. Press the PLAY (∏) button.
OUpon finishing the entire programmed
intro check disc play, the mode display
changes to stop for programmed play.
OPressing the SHUFFLE button activates
intro check disc play at random within

Comment retirer le disque
Comment tenir le disque
OLes empreintes digitales et la poussière
sur la surface du disque doivent être
essuyées avec soin avec un chiffon doux.
Essuyer du centre vers l’extérieur
ONe jamais utiliser de produits chimiques
comme des aérosols pour disques,
aérosols ou liquide antistatiques, de la
benzine ni de diluants pour nettoyer les
disques audionumériques. De tels
produits chimiques endommageront de
façon définitive la surface de plastique
du disque.
OLes disques doivent toujours être remis
dans leurs boîtiers après l’usage pour
éviter des rayures sérieuses qui
pourraient provoquer des “sauts” du
capteur laser.
ONe pas exposer les disques directement
au soleil ni à l’humidité ou à des
températures élevées pendant
longtemps. Une longue exposition à de
hautes températures peut voiler le
disque.
ONe pas coller de papier ni écrire quoi que
ce soit avec un crayon-bille sur la surface
Pour utiliser la télécommande, la pointer
vers le capteur de télécommande du
panneau avant de l’appareil.
∑Mise en place des piles
1. Retirer le couvercle du compartiment
des piles.
2. Introduire deux piles “AA” (IEC, R6,
SUM-3) S’assurer que les piles sont
installées correctement en respectant la
polarité plus ±et moins —.
3. Fermer le couvercle jusqu’à son déclic.
Remplacement des piles
Si vous remarquez que la distance entre
la télécommande et le lecteur devient
plus courte pour assurer un
fonctionnement correct, c’est que les
piles sont usées. Dans ce cas, remplacer
les piles par des neuves.
Précautions à observer concernant les
piles
OBien placer les piles en respectant la
polarité plus (+) et moins (–).
OUtiliser des piles du même type. Ne
jamais utiliser ensemble différents types
de piles.
ODes piles ou des batteries peuvent être
utilisées. Se référer aux précautions à
observer sur leurs étiquettes.
OSi la télécommande n’est pas utilisée
pendant une longue période (plus d’un
mois), retirer les piles de la
télécommande pour éviter des fuites
des piles. Si elles coulent, bien essuyer
le liquide dans le compartiment des
piles et remplacer les piles par des
neuves.
ONe pas chauffer, ni démonter les piles et
ne jamais les mettre au feu.

Attention à la condensation
Quand le lecteur (ou un disque
audionumérique) est déplacé d'un
endroit froid à un endroit chaud ou
utilisé après un changement rapide de
la température, il y a danger de
condensation. La vapeur d'eau que
comporte l'air risque de se condenser
sur le mécanisme ou sur le capteur
laser. Si des gouttelettes d'eau se
forment sur ces pièces, une lecture
correcte sera impossible car le laser
ne pourra pas lire correctement les
informations du disque. Pour éviter
ceci, si vous devez utiliser le lecteur
sous des conditions qui peuvent
provoquer une condensation, vous
devez le laisser tel quel pendant 1 ou 2
heures, selon le degré de
condensation, après l'avoir branché
sur une prise CA. Le lecteur se
stabilisera alors à la température de
l'environnement.

Avant de faire des raccordements, bien lire
le manuel d’instructions de l’amplificateur
stéréo et couper l’alimentation de
l’amplificateur stéréo et du lecteur.
Attention:
Si le lecteur CD produit des interférences
sur le syntoniseur, le téléviseur, etc.,
laisser une distance raisonnable entre ces
appareils.

∑Chargement d’un disque
1. Appuyer sur la touche d’alimentation
POWER sur ON.
Le plateau tourne automatiquement
dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre.
2. Appuyer sur la touche OPEN/CLOSE (∫)
pour ouvrir le plateau de disque.
3. Charger le(s) disque(s) sur le(s)
plateau(x) de disque, la face portant
l’étiquette tournée vers le haut.
4. Appuyer sur la touche DISC SKIP pour
charger tous les 5 disques.
OChaque fois que la touche DISC SKIP est
pressée, le plateau tourne dans le sens
des aiguilles d’une montre à la position
suivante du plateau.
5. Appuyer à nouveau sur la touche
OPEN/CLOSE (ø).
Attention:
ONe pas toucher le carrousel pendant
qu’il tourne.
ONe rien placer, à l’exception d’un disque
compact, dans le plateau. Des objets
étrangers peuvent endommager le

apparaissent et les marques de disque

disque, le numéro du disque suivant

mémoire un programme, suivre les étapes
indiquées ci-dessous:

facilement dans un programme en

Chaque fois que la touche CHECK (ou
PROGRAM CHECK) est pressée, le
numéro TRACK et le numéro DISC

programme
1. Pour ajouter de nouvelles sélections à
un programme après programmation,
appuyer d'abord sur la touche STOP

relâchée en appuyant sur la touche
REPEAT jusqu’à ce que les indicateurs
REPEAT s’éteignent. La lecture
programmée continue à partir de ce point.
OLe microprocesseur incorporé au
changeur CD sélectionnera et lira les
plages des disques dans un ordre
aléatoire.
OSi des plages ont été programmées, les
plages programmées sont reproduites
dans un ordre aléatoire.
OLorsque toutes les plages
programmées en ordre aléatoire ont été
lues, le changeur CD s’arrête.
OAppuyer sur la touche Úou Æ
pendant la lecture programmée
aléatoire change les numéros de plage
dans l’ordre programmé.
OSi un nouveau numéro de plage ou de
disque est sélectionné pendant la
lecture aléatoire normale et que la
touche PLAY (∏), est enfoncée,
changeur CD lira la nouvelle plage et
reprendra ensuite la lecture aléatoire.
OSi un nouveau numéro de plage est
sélectionné pendant la lecture aléatoire
de plages programmées et que la
touche PLAY (∏) est enfoncée, la
sélection de la nouvelle plage sera
ignorée tandis que lecture aléatoire se
poursuivra.
3. Appuyer de nouveau sur la touche
SHUFFLE pour relâcher ce mode.
OLorsque la touche SHUFFLE est
enfoncée, la lecture aléatoire se
termine et la lecture normale (ou
programmée) continue à partir de ce
point.
4. Appuyer sur la touche STOP (∑) pour
arrêter la lecture aléatoire.

d’introduction commence à partir de la
plage suivante.
Si la même opération est effectuée alors

moins de 10 secondes, la lecture à

Lecture répétée de disque

OLorsque la touche INTRO (ou INTRO
CHECK) est enfoncée pendant le mode
d’arrêt, la première plage du disque
indiqué sur l’affichage de numéro de
disque (DISC NUMBER) est reproduite
pendant environ 10 secondes, puis la
seconde plage du disque est reproduite
pendant environ 10 secondes. La lecture
continue de cette manière jusqu’à ce que
toutes les plages de tous les disques
aient été balayées.

La recherche de causes de mauvais fonctionnement d'un lecteur de disque audionumérique est fondamentalement identique à celle de tout autre
appareil électrique ou électronique. Toujours vérifier les causes les plus probables en premier. Pour vous donner une idée des points à vérifier,
consulter la liste suivante:
Problème Cause probable Remède
Pas d'alimentation quand l'interrupteur
d'alimentation est pressé. La prise d'alimentation n'est pas bien branchée. Bien la brancher.
Pas de lecture quand un disque est mis en
place. Le disque est mis en place avec l'étiquette tournée vers le bas. Le mettre en place avec l'étiquette tournée vers le haut.
Le disque est sale. Nettoyer la surface du disque.
Pas de sortie audio. Le raccordement à la chaîne stéréo est
incorrect. Vérifier les raccordements.
Seul un morceau peut être lu. La touche REPEAT est engagée. Presser la touche pour la désengager.
Pas de lecture programmée. La touche PROGRAM n'est pas pressée. Presser la touche pour afficher ˝PROGRAM˝.
Mauvais alignement (son sautant). Le lecteur subit des vibrations ou chocs. Changer la position d'installation du lecteur.
Le disque est sale. Nettoyer la surface du disque.
Bourdonnement. La fiche à broche n'est pas raccordée
fermement. La raccorder à nouveau fermement.
Bruit dans le syntoniseur. Le lecteur est trop près du syntoniseur. Laisser une distance raisonnable entre eux
ou couper l'alimentation du lecteur.
Le fonctionnement du boîtier de télécom-
mande est impossible. Placer l'interrupteur sur ON.
Les piles ne sont pas en place dans le
boîtier de télécommande. Installer les piles.
Attention:
Comme l'appareil utilise un micro-ordinateur, il peut ne pas fonctionner correctement à cause de bruits externes, etc. Dans ce cas, couper
l'alimentation, puis la remettre et reprendre les opérations.
L'interrupteur POWER du lecteur est sur
OFF.

Basic Operation
OWählen Sie einen geeigneten Standort
für den Spieler. Nicht geeignet sind
Standorte, die direkter Sonnenein-
strahlung, Heizquellen, Vibrationen,
Staubeinwirkung, starken Temperatur-
schwankungen oder Feuchtigkeit
ausgesetzt sind. Von Brummstörungen
verursachenden Geräten wie Transfor-
matoren etc. fernhalten.
ONiemals das Gehäuse öffnen, da
hierdurch Schäden an der Elektronik
und/oder elektrische Schläge
verursacht werden können. Falls ein
Fremdkörper in das Geräteinnere
gelangen sollte, wenden Sie sich bitte
an Ihren Fachhändler.
OCDs niemals mit verschmutzten Fingern
handhaben. Niemals eine verkratzte CD
einlegen.
OBei Abziehen des Netzkabels darauf
achten, das Kabel am Stecker zu halten.
Niemals am Kabel ziehen.
OUm den Laser-Tonabnehmer sauber-
zuhalten, diesen nicht berühren und den
CD-Halter stets einfahren.
OZur Gehäusereinigung keine Lösungs-
mittel verwenden, da hierdurch die
Gehäuseoberfläche beschädigt werden
kann. Ein sauberes trockenes Tuch
verwenden.
OBewahren Sie diese Bedienungs-
anleitung auf, um bei eventuell später
auftauchenden Fragen darin nach-
schlagen zu können.
Dieses Gerät ist ausschließlich zum
Abspielen von Compact Discs vorgesehen,
die mit dem "˛" Symbol gekennzeichnet
sind.
OCDs stets mit nach oben weisendem
Etikett in den CD-Halter einlegen. (CDs
sind nur einseitig bespielt.)
OZur Entnahme einer CD aus ihrer
Schutzhülle die Haltenabe in der Mitte
drücken. Die CD vorsichtig an ihrer
Kante halten und entnehmen.
Entnehmen der CD
Die CD am Rand halten
OFingerabdrücke und Staub auf der
bespielten Seite mit einem sauberen
trockenen Tuch entfernen.
Gerade nach außen wischen
OUnter keinen Umständen zur Reinigung
von CDs herkömmliche Plattenreini-
gungsmittel wie Plattenspray oder
-flüssigkeit, Benzin, Farbverdünner oder
ähnliche Chemikalien verwenden. Die
Kunststoffoberfläche der CD kann hier-
durch irreparablen Schaden nehmen!
OCDs nach Gebrauch stets wieder in ihre
Schutzhülle einlegen. Hierdurch sind
diese vor Staub, Kratzern etc. geschützt,
die zu Abtastaussetzern des Lasers
führen können.
OCDs niemals über einen längeren
Zeitraum direkter Sonneneinstrahlung,
hoher Feuchtigkeit und Temperatur
aussetzen.
Bei längerer Einwirkung von hohen
Temperaturen kann es zu Verwerfungen
der CD kommen.
OKeine Aufkleber an der Etikettseite
anbringen, und niemals mit einem
Kugelschreiber die Etikettseite
beschriften.
Die Fernbedieneinheit bei Gebrauch auf
den Fernbediensensor am Deck
ausrichten.
∑Einlegen der Batterien
1. Die Batteriefach-Abdeckung entfernen.
2. Zwei Batterien "AA" (IEC, R6, SUM-3)
polrichtig (≠/–) einlegen.
3. Die Abdeckung wieder einwandfrei
anbringen.
Batteriewechsel
Muß der Abstand zwischen Spieler und
Fernbedieneinheit zur Funktionsaus-
lösung verringert werden, wird ein
Batteriewechsel notwendig. Stets zwei
neue Batterien einlegen.
Batterie-Vorsichtsmaßregeln
ODie Batterien stets polrichtig (≠/–)
einlegen.
OStets zwei Batterien der gleichen
Ausführung verwenden. Niemals
gleichzeitig eine gebrauchte und eine
neue Batterie verwenden.
OSowohl Einweg- als auch
wiederaufladbare Batterien sind
verwendbar. Die Sicherheitshinweise
auf den Batterien beachten.
OBei längerem Nichtgebrauch (über
einen Monat) sollten die Batterien
entnommen werden, um dem Auslaufen
der Batterien vorzubeugen. Aus-
gelaufene Batterien entnehmen und
nach Säubern des Batteriefachs gegen
frische auswechseln.
OBatterien niemals erhitzen, zerlegen
oder zur Entsorgung verbrennen.

Auf Kondensationsniederschlag
achten!
Wenn das Gerät oder CDs von kalter in
eine warme Umgebung gebracht
werden, bzw. einer starken Tempera-
turschwankung ausgesetzt sind,
besteht die Gefahr von Kondensa-
tionsniederschlag am Laser-
Tonabnehmer. Durch eine solche
Beeinträchtigung wird die Abtast-
funktion des Lasers schwerwiegend
gestört, so daß keine Toninformation
von der CD erhältlich ist. Sollte die
Möglichkeit von Kondensations-
niederschlag gegeben sein, emp-
fehlen wir, nach Netzanschluß ein bis
zwei Stunden bis zur Inbetriebnahme
zu warten. Nach Ablauf dieser
Zeitspanne sollte ein Temperatur-
ausgleich des Geräts gegeben sein.

Anschlüsse

Vor der Herstellung der Anschlüsse
sicherstellen, daß bei allen Geräten die
Spannungsversorgung abgeschaltet ist.
Die diesbezüglichen Angaben in der
Bedienungsanleitung des Stereo-
Verstärkers etc. unbedingt beachten.
Achtung:
Falls dieser CD-Spieler Interferenzen beim
UKW-Tuner, TV-Empfänger etc. verursacht,
auf ausreichenden Abstand achten.
