WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSVORSCHRIFTEN
Lesen Sie aufmerksam die Gebrauchsanleitung, bevor Sie Ihr Gerät benutzen.

Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten, weder zum Reinigen,
noch zu einem anderen Zweck. Geben Sie das Gerät niemals in die Spülmaschine.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe einer Wärmequelle.
Eine beschädigte Schnur sollte von einem Fachmann (*) ausgewechselt werden, es sei
denn es handelt sich um eine leicht austauschbare Schnur, die Sie auswechseln können.
In Elektrofachgeschäften finden Sie eine derartige Schnur. Achten Sie darauf, dass die
Ersatzschnur vom gleichen Typ ist.
Entfernen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose, ehe Sie das Gerät reinigen.
Für Reparaturen wenden Sie sich an einen Fachmann (*).
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht im Freien und bewahren Sie es an einem trockenen Platz auf.
Benutzen Sie nur Zubehör, welches vom Lieferanten empfohlen wurde. Anderes Zubehör

Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einen Tisch oder auf eine ebene Fläche damit es nicht umfällt.
Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät vollständig erkaltet ist, ehe Sie es reinigen oder
wegräumen.
Achten Sie darauf, dass die Schnur nicht mit den warmen Teilen des Gerätes in Kontakt
kommt. Berühren Sie nicht die warmen Teile des Gerätes.
Achten Sie darauf, dass die warmen Teile während des Toastens nicht mit leicht
entflammbarem Material, wie Gardinen, Tischdecken, usw. in Berührung kommen.
Brandgefahr! Das Gerät sollte mindestens 1 Meter von dem leicht entflammbaren Material
entfernt sein.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht zum Auftauen von Nahrung und legen Sie nur Brotscheiben
in das Gerät, welche nicht mit Butter bzw. Margarine geschmiert sind und deren Dicke das

Wohnungsbränden sind.
Entfernen Sie regelmäßig die Brotkrümel aus dem Gerät, aber ziehen Sie erst den Stecker
aus der Steckdose. Siehe Abschnitt « Pflege des Toasters und Reinigung ».
Benutzen Sie beim Reinigen keine Topfkratzer, da dies im Nachhinein zu einem Kurzschluß
führen könnte.
Ihr Gerät darf niemals über eine externe Zeitschaltuhr oder irgendein anderes, separates
Fernbedienungssystem eingeschaltet werden.
(*) Fachmann: anerkannter Kundendienst des Lieferanten oder des Importeurs, der für
derartige Reparaturen zuständig ist. Für eventuelle Reparaturen wenden Sie sich bitte an
diesen Kundendienst.
ACHTUNG: Solange Sie den Stecker nicht in die Steckdose gesteckt haben, wird die
Absenktaste nicht einrasten!
VOR DEM ERSTEN GEBRAUCH
Um Produktionsreste zu beseitigen, nehmen Sie das Gerät mindestens 2 Mal ohne Brot in
Betrieb. Stellen Sie den Bräunungsregler dabei auf mäßige Leistungsstufe. Es könnte dabei
Rauch entstehen.
GEBRAUCHSANWEISUNG
Vor der ersten Benutzung kontrollieren Sie, ob das Gerät sauber ist (siehe Abschnitt
“PFLEGE DES TOASTERS UND REINIGUNG”), da es in direktem Kontakt mit dem Brot ist.
Kontrollieren Sie auch, ob keine Gegenstände in die Spalte gefallen sind.
•Schließen Sie das Gerät nur an Erdwandstecker an.
•Stellen Sie die Scheiben Brot in die Spalte (für Baguette, schneiden Sie ein kleineres Stück als
die Länge der Spalte und dann schneiden Sie es in zwei der Länge nach). Ihr Gerät ist
geeignet sowohl für Baguette als auch für Toaste oder andere Scheiben Brot, wenn die
Dicke und die Länge in die Spalte eintreten.
•Dann drücken Sie die Absenktaste herunter bis zum Einrasten (in derselben Zeit, wird das
Gitter in der Spalte sich um das Brot schließen, um es weit von den Heizfaden zu halten).
Dann lockern Sie die Taste und sie wird in dieser Position bleiben. Das heißt, dass die Heizung
begonnen hat. Wenn die Absenktaste sofort wieder steigt, kontrollieren Sie, ob das Gerät
angeschlossen ist (die Taste blockiert sich nur, wenn das Gerät unter Spannung ist).
•Sie können den Bräunungsgrad regeln, um ein mehr oder weniger geröstetes Brötchen zu
bekommen, indem Sie den Bräunungsregler auf eine der Positionen 1 bis 6 stellen. Dafür
brauchen Sie nur, ihn im Uhrzeigersinn zu drehen, um den Grad zu erhöhen und im
Gegenuhrzeigersinn, um den Grad zu verringern. Je höher die Zahl ist, desto mehr geröstet
wird das Brot.
•Während des Gebrauchs, wenn Sie der Meinung sind, dass das Brot genug geröstet ist oder
für irgendwelchen anderen Grund, können Sie die Heizung beim Drücken der Stop-Taste
unterbrechen.
•Die Taste zum Aufwärmen ermöglicht es, entweder schon geröstetes Brot aufzuwärmen,
oder nicht genug geröstetes Brot eine kurze Zeit lang zu rösten, ohne die
Bräunungsgradregelung zu ändern.
•Die Taste zum Auftauen ermöglicht es, Brot zu rösten, das zuvor gefroren wurde.
•Nach dem Gebrauch ziehen Sie immer den Stecker aus der Steckdose und lassen Sie das
Gerät abkühlen, bevor Sie es wegräumen oder bewegen.

PFLEGE DES TOASTERS UND REINIGUNG
•Vor der Reinigung immer den Stecker ziehen und das Gerät abkühlen lassen.
•Ein Krümelfach an der Unterseite des Gerätes ist dafür vorgesehen, um die Brotkrümel zu
sammeln während des Gebrauchs, damit die Reinigung einfacher wird. Um das Fach zu
entleeren, öffnen Sie dessen Deckel an der Unterseite des Gerätes. Halten Sie das Gerät
über einem Mülleimer, wenn Sie das Krümelfach entleeren. Schließen Sie nachher den
Deckel des Krümelfachs.
•Außenseite mit einem sauberen, trockenen oder leicht angefeuchteten Tuch abwischen.
•Toaster niemals in Wasser ODER ANDERE FLÜSSIGKEITEN tauchen.
•Sonstige Reinigungs- und Wartungsarbeiten sind einer offiziellen Kundendienststelle zu
überlassen. Sonst erlischt die Garantie.
UMWELTSCHUTZ – RICHTLINIE 2002/96/EG
Zum Schutz unserer Umwelt und unserer Gesundheit sind Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräte nach
bestimmten Regeln zu entsorgen. Dies fordert den Einsatz sowohl des Herstellers bzw.
Lieferanten als auch des Verbrauchers.
Aus diesem Grund darf dieses Gerät, wie das Symbol auf dem Typenschild bzw. auf der
Verpackung zeigt, nicht in den unsortierten Restmüll gegeben werden. Der Verbraucher hat
das Recht, dieses Gerät über kommunale Sammelstellen zu entsorgen; von dort aus wird die

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance.
Important: People (including children) who are not able to use the appliance in a safe way,
due to their physical, sensorial or mental capacity or their lack of experience or knowledge,
must never use the appliance except if they are supervised by a person responsible for their
safety or if they previously received instructions concerning the safe use of the appliance.
Close supervision is necessary to prevent children from using the appliance as a toy.
Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.
Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.
IMPORTANT: If the bread carriage handle gets blocked during use (e.g. because the
bread slices are too thick) and the bread starts burning, unplug the appliance
immediately and let it cool down before emptying and cleaning it. Should the problem
persist, contact a competent qualified electrician (*).
From time to time check the cord for damages. Never use the appliance if cord or
appliance show any signs of damage.
Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these
instructions.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever.
Never place it into the dishwasher.
Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
Should the cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a competent qualified
electrician(*).
Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply.
All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician(*).
Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.
Never use accessories which are not recommended by the producer. They could
constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.
Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in
any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.
Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.
Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it.
Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance. Never
touch the hot parts of the appliance.
Make sure the appliance never comes into contact with inflammable materials, such as
curtains, cloth, etc... when it is in use, as a fire might occur. Keep a distance of at least 1
metre between the appliance and the curtains.
Do not use the appliance for defrosting food and only insert unbuttered slices of bread of
which the thickness does not risk to prevent the bread from coming up. Be extremely strict
about this as toasters are the cause of many fires when these elementary safety
precautions are not observed.
Empty the appliance frequently of bread crumbs. Make sure the appliance is always
unplugged before emptying it. Check the « Cleaning » section.
When cleaning the appliance, do not use metallic scourers in order to avoid any future risk
of electric short-circuit.
Your appliance must never be switched on through an external timer or any kind of
separate remote control system.
(*) Competent qualified service: after sales department of the producer or importer or any
person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to
avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this service.

CAUTION: the bread carriage handle will not stay down if the appliance is not plugged in!
UK style plug wiring instructions (in the UK only)
This product must only be used from a 13 amp power socket. If a BS1363 approved 13 amp
plug is used, it should be fitted with a 13 amp fuse. The wires on the power cord are colour
coded:
blue = neutral, brown = live, green or green & yellow = earth.
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured in black.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red.
The green (& yellow) wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured in green (&
yellow).
BEFORE USING THE TOASTER FOR THE FIRST TIME
In order to eliminate any manufacturing residues, operate the toaster a couple of times
without bread with the browning control selector on a medium power level. Some smoke
might escape.
OPERATION
•Before using your appliance for the first time, check if it is clean (see “Maintenance and
cleaning”) as it comes into direct contact with bread. Check if any object has fallen into
the slot.
•In the first time, connect the appliance only to a mains earthed wall socket.
•Place the bread slices in the slot (for French bread, cut a loaf shorter than the slot, then
cut it in two pieces along its length). Your appliance is provided to receive French bread,
but also pieces of toast or other bread slices if their thickness and their length are shorter
than the one of the slot.
•Press down the bread carriage handle until it stops (in the same time, the grid inside the
slot will tighten around the bread in order to keep it away from the heating wires). Then
release the pressure and the handle will stay in the lower position, which means that the
heating process has begun. If the handle comes up immediately, check if the appliance is
plugged in as it blocks only when the unit is plugged in.
•You can adjust the browning intensity to obtain a more or less toasted bread by
positioning the browning control selector to one of the degrees marked from 1 to 6.
Therefore you only have to turn clockwise to increase the intensity, and anticlockwise to
decrease it. The higher the number is, the more toasted the bread will be.
•During the functioning, if you think that the bread is toasted enough or for another reason,
you can break the heating process, simply by pressing the “CANCEL” button.
•The "REHEAT" button allows you to reheat already toasted bread or to toast bread which is
not toasted enough during a short time without modifying the browning degree.
•The “DEFROST” button allows you to toast bread that has been frozen beforehand.
•Always unplug the appliance after use and let it cool down before handling or storing it.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
•Before attempting any cleaning operation make sure the toaster is unplugged from the
supply socket and fully cooled down.
•To remove bread crumbs, hold the appliance above a dustbin and open the small lid at
the bottom of the appliance. When you have emptied the crumb collector, close the lid
again.
•Never use sharp objects to clean. Doing so could damage the appliance.
•To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft damp cloth. On no account
must the toaster be immersed in water or any other liquid.
•All other maintenance and repair should be performed by a qualified technician. No
guarantee claims will be accepted if the appliance has been opened or damaged
previously.
PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT– DIRECTIVE 2002/96/EC
In order to preserve our environment and protect human health, the waste electrical and
electronic equipment should be disposed of in accordance with specific rules with the
implication of both suppliers and users. For this reason, as indicated by the symbol on the
rating label or on the packaging, your appliance should not be disposed of as unsorted
municipal waste. The user has the right to bring it to a municipal collection point performing
waste recovery by means of reuse, recycling or use for other applications in accordance with
the directive.

Important : Votre appareil n’est pas prévu pour être utilisé par des personnes ( y compris les

Vérifiez de temps en temps si le cordon n’est pas endommagé. N'utilisez pas votre
appareil si le cordon ou l'appareil lui-même est endommagé de quelque façon que ce
soit.
Utilisez l'appareil uniquement pour des usages domestiques et de la manière indiquée
dans la notice.
Ne plongez jamais l'appareil dans l'eau ou dans tout autre liquide ni pour son nettoyage ni
pour tout autre raison. Ne le mettez jamais au lave-vaisselle.

N’utilisez pas cet appareil pour la décongélation d’aliments et n’insérez que des tranches

beaucoup d’incendies suite à un non-respect des consignes élémentaires de sécurité.
Veillez à vider fréquemment l’appareil de ses mies de pain. A ce propos, veillez à toujours
débrancher votre appareil avant de procéder à cette opération. Référez-vous à la
rubrique « Nettoyage ».
Lors d’un nettoyage de l’appareil, veillez à ne pas utiliser des éponges à récurer
métalliques et ce afin d’éviter un futur risque de court-circuit électrique.
Votre appareil ne doit jamais être mis en fonctionnement par le biais d’une minuterie
extérieure ou d’un autre système de commande à distance séparé.

AVANT LA PREMIERE UTILISATION
Afin d'éliminer tout résidu provenant de la production, faites fonctionner le grille-pain au moins
deux fois à vide (sans pain) avant la première utilisation, en plaçant le bouton du thermostat
sur un niveau de puissance moyen. Une légère fumée pourra alors se dégager.
MODE D’EMPLOI
•Avant d’utiliser votre appareil pour la première fois, vérifiez qu’il est propre (voir
paragraphe « Nettoyage ») car il est en contact avec le pain, mais aussi que des objets
ne sont pas tombés dans la fente.
•Dans un premier temps, branchez votre appareil sur une prise de courant équipée d’une
borne de terre.
•Placez les tranches de pain dans la fente (pour la baguette, tranchez un morceau de
taille inférieure à celle de la fente puis coupez-la en deux dans le sens de la longueur).
Votre appareil est prévu pour recevoir à la fois de la baguette mais aussi des toasts ou
autres tranches de pain dès lors que l’épaisseur et la longueur entrent dans la fente.
•Ensuite, baissez la manette d’enclenchement jusqu’à venir en butée (dans le même
temps, la grille à l’intérieur de la fente se resserrera autour du pain afin de le maintenir
éloigné des fils chauffants). Une fois ceci réalisé, relâchez la pression et elle restera en
position basse signifiant ainsi que la chauffe est en cours. Si la manette remontait
immédiatement, vérifiez que l’appareil est branché car elle se bloque seulement si
l’appareil est sous tension.
•Vous pouvez régler l’intensité de chauffe pour obtenir un pain plus ou moins grillé en
plaçant la manette de réglage d’intensité sur une des positions graduées de 1 à 6. Pour
cela, il vous suffit de la tourner dans le sens horaire pour augmenter l’intensité et dans le
sens inverse pour la diminuer. Plus le chiffre est élevé, plus le pain sera grillé.
•En cours de fonctionnement, si vous estimez que le pain est suffisamment grillé ou pour
une tout autre raison, vous pouvez interrompre la chauffe, simplement en appuyant sur le
bouton d’arrêt.
•Le bouton « Reheat » vous permet soit de réchauffer du pain déjà grillé soit de remettre du
pain insuffisamment grillé en chauffe pendant un court délai sans modifier le réglage
d’intensité.
•Le bouton décongélation vous permet de griller du pain qui avait été congelé au
préalable.
•Débranchez toujours votre appareil après usage et laissez-le refroidir avant de le ranger
ou de le manipuler.

NETTOYAGE
•Débranchez l'appareil et laissez le refroidir.
•Un emplacement dans le fond de l’appareil est prévu pour récupérer les miettes de pain
de cette partie difficilement accessible. Pour le vider, il vous suffit d’ouvrir le petit
couvercle en dessous de l’appareil en tenant l’appareil au-dessus d’une poubelle.
Refermez le couvercle avant d’utiliser de nouveau l’appareil.
•Nettoyez l’extérieur uniquement avec un chiffon doux légèrement humide.
•NE JAMAIS UTILISER CET APPAREIL PRÈS DE L’EAU, ne jamais plonger l’appareil DANS DE
L’EAU OU TOUT AUTRE LIQUIDE.

BELANGRIJKE VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
Lees de gebruiksaanwijzing aandachtig alvorens u uw toestel gebruikt.
Belangrijk: Personen (kinderen inbegrepen) die wegens hun fysieke, sensoriële of mentale
capaciteiten, of wegens hun gebrek aan ervaring of kennis, het toestel niet veilig kunnen
gebruiken, mogen dit toestel niet zonder toezicht of instructies van een verantwoordelijke
persoon gebruiken. Hou kinderen goed in het oog om te vermijden dat ze met het toestel
spelen.

BELANGRIJK: Indien de schuifknop tijdens de werking blokkeert (wegens te dikke

herstellen.
Controleer regelmatig of het snoer niet beschadigd is. Gebruik het toestel niet indien het
snoer of het toestel zelf enige beschadiging zouden vertonen.
Gebruik het toestel enkel voor huishoudelijk gebruik en op de wijze zoals vermeld in de
gebruiksaanwijzing.
Dompel het toestel nooit onder in water of in enige andere vloeistof, noch om het te
reinigen, noch om welke andere reden ook. Steek het nooit in een afwasmachine.
Gebruik het toestel niet in de nabijheid van warmtebronnen.
Een beschadigd snoer dient te worden vervangen door een bekwame gekwalificeerde
dienst(*) tenzij het om een verwijderbaar snoer gaat. In dat geval kan u het zelf
vervangen. In gespecialiseerde winkels voor elektrische huishoudtoestellen vindt u
gelijkaardige snoeren. Let er evenwel op dat het vervangsnoer van hetzelfde type is.
De stekker dient uit het stopcontact verwijderd te worden vooraleer het toestel te
reinigen.
Herstellingen dienen te gebeuren door een bekwame gekwalificeerde dienst(*).
Gebruik het toestel niet buiten en berg het op in een droge plaats.
Gebruik geen accessoires die niet door de fabrikant aanbevolen werden. Dit kan
gevaarlijk zijn voor de gebruiker en het toestel beschadigen.
Trek nooit aan het snoer om het toestel te verplaatsen. Zorg dat het elektriciteitssnoer
nergens kan achterhaken en daardoor de val van het toestel veroorzaken. Draai het
snoer niet rond het toestel en plooi het niet.
Zet het toestel op een tafel of op een voldoende stabiel oppervlak zodat het niet valt.
Wacht tot het toestel volledig is afgekoeld alvorens het te reinigen of op te bergen.
Zorg ervoor dat het snoer niet in aanraking komt met de warme onderdelen van het
toestel en dat u evenmin de warme onderdelen aanraakt.
Zorg ervoor dat de warme onderdelen van het toestel tijdens het gebruik niet in aanraking
komen met gemakkelijk ontvlambare materialen, zoals gordijnen, een tafelkleed,… of
dergelijke vermits deze in brand zouden kunnen vliegen. Respecteer een minimum
afstand van één meter tussen het toestel en de gordijnen.
Gebruik dit toestel niet voor het ontdooien van etenswaren en leg er enkel niet-beboterde
sneetjes brood in waarvan de dikte het omhoog komen niet hindert. Wees hiermee zeer
voorzichtig want broodroosters zijn de oorzaak van veel branden ten gevolge van het niet
naleven van de veiligheidsvoorschriften.

Haal regelmatig de broodkruimels uit het toestel. Zorg er steeds voor om de stekker uit het
stopcontact te trekken vooraleer hiermee te beginnen. Raadpleeg het hoofdstuk
« Onderhoud van het apparaat en reiniging ».
Gebruik bij de reiniging van het toestel geen ijzersponsjes omdat dit later een kortsluiting
zou kunnen veroorzaken.
Uw toestel mag nooit worden aangezet door middel van een externe timer of een
separaat systeem met afstandsbediening.
(*) Bekwame gekwalificeerde dienst : « na verkoop »-dienst van de fabrikant of de invoerder,
die erkend en bevoegd is om dergelijke herstellingen te doen zodat elk gevaar vermeden
wordt. Gelieve het toestel bij problemen naar deze dienst terug te brengen.
OPGELET: zolang u de stekker niet in het stopcontact hebt gestoken, zal de schuifknop niet
ingedrukt blijven!
VÓÓR HET EERSTE GEBRUIK
Om alle fabricageresten te verwijderen, gelieve het toestel minstens 2 keer zonder brood te
laten werken met de regelknop voor de bruiningsgraad op middelhoge vermogensstand. Er
kan eventueel lichte rook ontsnappen.
GEBRUIKSAANWIJZING
•Controleer vóór het eerste gebruik of het toestel proper is (zie alinea “Onderhoud van het
apparaat en reiniging”) vermits het in direct contact komt met brood. Controleer ook of
er geen voorwerpen in de gleuf zijn gevallen.
•Gebruik het toestel enkel met een geaard stopcontact.
•Steek de broodsneden in de gleuf (voor stokbrood: snij een kleiner stuk dan de gleuf en
snijd het dan in de lengte door). Uw toestel is geschikt voor zowel stokbrood als voor toasts
en andere broodsneden, zolang de dikte en de lengte in de gleuf kunnen passen.
•Duw dan de schuifknop naar beneden tot die stopt (terzelfdertijd zal de binnenrooster in de
gleuf nauwer bij het brood komen om het brood ver van de verwarmingselementen te
houden). Wanneer dit is gedaan, laat dan de hendel los. Deze zal in lage positie blijven, dat
betekent dat de verwarming aan de gang is. Als de hendel meteen naar boven komt,
controleer dan of het toestel op het stroomnet is aangesloten. De hendel blokkeert enkel
wanneer het toestel onder spanning staat.
•U kunt de bruiningsgraad bepalen om min of meer geroosterde broodsneden te krijgen
door de regelknop voor de bruiningsgraad op een stand van 1 tot 6 te plaatsen. Daarvoor
hoeft u de regelknop met de klok mee te draaien om de intensiteit te verhogen en tegen
de klok in om ze te verminderen. Hoe groter het cijfer is, des te meer zullen de
broodsneden geroosterd zijn.
•Gedurende het gebruik, als u schat dat de broodsneden voldoende geroosterd zijn, of
om een andere reden, kunt u op de “STOP” toets drukken om de bereiding eerder te
onderbreken.
•Indien u de baktijd wilt verlengen, volstaat het om de "REHEAT" toets in te drukken.
•Met de ontdooitoets kunt u broodsneden roosteren, die van tevoren ingevroren waren.
•Schakel uw toestel na het gebruik altijd uit en wacht tot het volledig is afgekoeld alvorens
het op te bergen of het te verplaatsen.

ONDERHOUD VAN HET APPARAAT EN REINIGING
•Voor het reinigen altijd de stekker uittrekken en het apparaat laten afkoelen.
•Om de kruimelopvangbak te ledigen opent u het dekseltje onderaan de broodrooster en
schudt u de broodresten in een vuilnisbak. Om betere toastresultaten te verkrijgen, dient u
regelmatig de kruimels te verwijderen uit het kruimelopvangbakje. Sluit het deksel van het
bakje voor u de broodrooster opnieuw gebruikt.
•De buitenkant kunt u met een licht bevochtigde doek schoonvegen.
•Dompel het apparaat nooit onder in water of andere vloeistoffen.
•Verder onderhoud dient u aan een erkend technicus over laten, zoniet vervalt de
waarborg.
MILIEUBESCHERMING – RICHTLIJN 2002/96/EG
Om ons milieu en onze gezondheid te beschermen, moet afgedankte elektrische en
elektronische apparatuur in overeenstemming met welbepaalde regels weggegooid worden.
Dit vergt zowel de inzet van de leveranciers als van de gebruikers. Daarom mag uw apparaat,
zoals op het typeplaatje of op de verpakking aangegeven door het symbool , niet met
het gewone huisvuil weggegooid worden. De gebruiker heeft het recht het toestel naar een
gemeentelijk centrum van gescheiden inzameling te brengen waar het overeenkomstig de
richtlijn hergebruikt, gerecycleerd of voor andere doeleinden gebruikt zal worden.

CONSEJOS DE SEGURIDAD
Lea detenidamente el modo de empleo antes de utilizar el aparato.
Importante: Las personas (incluidos niños) con incapacidades físicas, sensoriales o mentales, o
sin experiencia o conocimiento nunca deben utilizar el aparato, salvo si están bajo la
vigilancia de una persona responsable de su seguridad o si recibieron previamente
instrucciones con respecto al uso seguro del aparato.
Es necesario vigilar a los niños para que no jueguen con el aparato.
Antes de utilizar el aparato, compruebe que el voltaje de la red eléctrica coincide con el
aparato.
No deje nunca su aparato sin vigilancia cuando esté en marcha.
IMPORTANTE: Si la palanca de sujeción está bloqueada durante el uso (por ejemplo)
porque las rajas de pan son demasiado gruesas) y el pan se quema, desenchufe el
aparato inmediatamente y déjelo enfriar antes de vaciar y limpiarlo. Si a caso el
problema sigue, no utilice el aparato y contacta a un servicio técnico cualificado(*).
Compruebe de vez en cuando que el cable no esté dañado. No utilice su aparato sí el
cable o el aparato están dañados por el motivo que sea.
Utilice el aparato solamente para usos domésticos y de la manera indicada en el modo
de empleo.
No sumerja nunca el aparato en el agua o en cualquier otro líquido ni para su limpieza ni
por cualquier otra razón. No lo introduzca nunca en el lavavajillas.
No utilice el aparato cerca de fuentes de calor.
Si el cable está dañado, debe ser reemplazado por un servicio cualificado
competente(*).
La clavija eléctrica debe ser desenchufada antes de limpiar el aparato.
Cualquier reparación debe ser realizada por un servicio técnico cualificado(∗).
Procure no utilizar el aparato en el exterior y colóquelo en un sitio seco.
No utilice accesorios no recomendados por el fabricante, ello puede entrañar un riesgo
para el usuario y puede dañar el aparato.
No mueva nunca el aparato estirando del cable. Procure que el cable no se enganche
en algún saliente, a fin de evitar posibles caídas del mismo. Evite enrollar el cable
alrededor del aparato y no lo tuerza.
Coloque el aparato sobre una mesa o un soporte lo suficientemente estable para evitar
su caída
Deje enfriar el aparato antes de limpiarlo y guardarlo
Procure que el aparato no entre en contacto con las superficies calientes del aparato.
Procure no tocar las superficies calientes.
Procure que el aparato no entre en contacto con materiales fácilmente inflamables
como cortinas, tejidos, etc., cuando esté en funcionamiento, ya que podría provocar un
incendio. Deje una distancia mínima de un metro entre el aparato y los materiales
inflamables.
No utilice este aparato para la descongelación de alimentos, y solo inserte rebanadas de
pan no untadas cuyo espesor no dañe el interior. Sea riguroso en este punto, ya que los
tostadores son origen de mucho incendios como consecuencia de no respetar las
normas de seguridad.
Acuérdese de vaciar regularmente las migas de pan. Para ello desenchufe siempre el
aparato. Antes de proceder a esta operación. Consulte el apartado « Limpieza ».
Cuando limpie el aparato no utilice esponjas metálicas para evitar el riesgo de
cortocircuitos.

Su aparato nunca debe ser puesto en marcha mediante un minutero externo o un
sistema de mando a distancia separado.
(∗) Servicio técnico cualificado. Servicio técnico del fabricante o importador o de una
persona cualificada, reconocida y habilitada a fin de evitar cualquier peligro. En cualquier
caso devuelva el aparato al servicio técnico.
ATENCIÓN: ¡la palanca de sujeción no quedará abajo sí el aparato no está enchufado!
ANTES DE LA PRIMERA UTILIZACIÓN
Para eliminar todo residuo procedente de la producción, antes de utilizar por primera vez su
tostador, hágalo funcionar por lo menos dos veces al vacío (sin pan), colocando su
termostato a un nivel de potencia media. Puede producirse un ligero humo.
UTILIZACIÓN
Antes de usar el aparato por primera vez, asegúrese que este limpio (vea “limpieza”)
porque tiene contacto directo con el pan. Compruebe que ningún objeto este dentro de
la ranura del tostador.
Antes que nada, conecte el aparato a la corriente eléctrica.
Coloque el pan en la ranura. El aparato esta provisto para recibir pan francés, pero
también tostadas u otros panes si su grosor y longitud es mas corto que la de la ranura del
pan.
Presione la manecilla hacia abajo, hasta la posición de cierre (al mismo tiempo, la rejilla
interna la ranura se aprieta entorno al pan para mantenerlo lejos de los hilos
calentadores). Si el asa sube inmediatamente compruebe si el aparato esta enchufado y
que no haya nada que lo bloquee.
Usted puede ajustar la intensidad de la regulación para que sus tostadas salgan como
usted desee. Los niveles de la regulación electrónica van del 1 al 6. Gire el regulador
electrónico de la potencia para incrementar la intensidad.
Si desea interrumpir el proceso, presione el botón de parada.
Si desea recalentar pan, presione el botón de recalentamiento.
Si desea descongelar pan, presione el botón descongelación.
Desenchufe siempre el aparato después de usarlo y déjelo enfriar antes de tocarlo o
guardarlo.
LIMPIEZA
•Para una mejor utilización, quite con frecuencia las migas de pan del tostador. Para
hacer esto, mantenga el aparato encima de un cubo de basura y tire , abra la pequeña
tapa en la parte de abajo del aparato. Cuando se haya vaciado, cierre la tapa otra vez.
•No utilizar un tenedor o instrumento puntiagudo que podría estropear la resistencia del
aparato.
•Para limpiar la parte exterior, simplemente dele con un trapo humedo. Lo que nunca se
debe hacer es sumergir el aparato en agua o en cualquier otro liquido.
•Toda otra limpieza o reparación deberá ser realizada por un servicio especializado.

PROTECCIÓN DEL MEDIO AMBIENTE –DIRECTIVA 2002/96/CE
Para poder preservar nuestro medio ambiente y proteger la salud humana, los residuos
eléctricos y equipos electrónicos deberían ser destruidos de acuerdo con unas normas
especificas con la implicación de ambos proveedores y consumidores. Por esta razón, como
indica el símbolo en la placa de datos técnicos, su aparato no debería ser tirado en un
contenedor municipal sino que debería ser devuelto a la tienda, o dejado en un punto de
recolección para ser reciclado o usado para otras aplicaciones conforme a la directiva.

PARA A SUA SEGURANÇA
Antes de utilizar o aparelho leia com sentido de responsabilidade as instruções de
funcionamento.
Importante: As pessoas (incluídas as crianças) com incapacidades físicas, sensoriais ou
mentais, ou sem experiência ou conhecimento não devem utilizar o aparelho excepto se
estiverem a ser vigiadas por uma pessoa responsável pela sua segurança ou se receberam
previamente instruções relativas ao uso seguro do aparelho.
Convém vigiar as crianças para que elas não brinquem com o aparelho.
Antes de ligar a ficha do cabo da alimentação à tomada eléctrica certifique-se que a
corrente eléctrica tem a potência igual à indicada na placa sinalética do aparelho.
Mantenha o aparelho sob vigilância quando em funcionamento.
IMPORTANTE: caso a alavanca com fecho para baixar e elevar o pão fique bloqueada
durante o funcionamento( por exemplo provocada por pedaços de pão demasiados

mesmo não também não lhes toque.
Não ponha o aparelho em contacto com coisas inflamáveis como cortinados, panos,…,
podendo ocorrer possibilidades de fogo. Mantenha o aparelho afastado dos cortinados
no mínimo um metro.

O aparelho nunca deve ser ligado mediante um temporizador externo ou outro sistema
de comando a distância separado.
(*) Serviço técnico habilitado. Serviço técnico do fabricante ou importador duma pessoa
qualificada, reconhecida e habilitada para evitar qualquer perigo. Em qualquer caso devolva
o aparelho ao serviço técnico.
ATENÇÃO: sempre que o aparelho não esteja com a ficha do cabo da alimentação inserida
na tomada eléctrica, a pega de fecho baixa mas não prende!
ANTES DA PRIMEIRA UTILIZAÇÃO
Para eliminar eventuais resíduos da fabricação, ponha a funcionar a torradeira (sem pão)
pelo menos duas vezes antes de a utilizar com pão para torrar, deslocando o botão do
termostato para uma potência de aquecimento média. Pode existir libertação de fumos
durante a eliminação dos eventuais resíduos de fabricação do produto.
MODO DE EMPREGO
•Antes da primeira utilização, leia o paragrafo (Limpeza) já que o aparelho vai estar em
contacto com o pão. Verifique se o aparelho nada tem no seu interior.
•O cabo da alimentação tem de estar ligado a uma tomada eléctrica com fio terra.
•Introduza o pão no interior do aparelho. O pão tem de ter a espessura e as dimensões
adequadas à abertura e ao interior do aparelho.
•De seguida, baixe a pega para ligar o aparelho.Com a pega fixa o aquecimento
comecerá.Se a pega não se fixar,verifique se o cabo da alimentação se encontra ligado
à tomada eléctrica já que a pega só não se fixará quando o parelho estiver em sob
tensão.
•A regulação da temperatura de aquecimento, para obter o pão mais ou menos torrado,
varia de 1 a 6. Para obter o pão mais torrado rode o botão da temperatura no sentido
dos ponteiros do relógio e em sentido contrário para pão menos torrado. Quanto mais
elevado é o número mais torado fica o pão.
•Durante o funcionamento se não quiser o pão mais torrado,ou por outra razão qualquer,
o aquecimento pode ser interrompido através da compresão do botão de paragem.
•O botão de reaquecimento permite o reaquecimento do pão já torrado ou não
suficientemente torrado,isto sem alterar a posição da temperatura selecionada.
•O botão de descongelação permite torrar o pão que foi congelado.
•Retire o cabo da alimentação da tomada sempre que deixar de utilizar o aparelho.
Deixe-o arrefecer antes de o guardar ou o deslocar para outro local.
LIMPEZA
•Antes de proceder à limpeza do aparelho, desligue-o, retire o cabo da alimentação da
tomada e deixe-o arrefecer.
•Para remover as migalhas de pão, coloque o aparelho por cima da aberura do caixote
do lixo e abra a pequena tampa através do botão que se encontra na torradeira.
Quando tiver despejado do reservatório as migalhas que aí se encontam, feche de novo
a tampa.
•O corpo da torradeira deve ser limpo com um pano húmido. Nunca use abrasivos.
•NUNCA UTILIZAR ESTE APARELHO PERTO DE ÁGUA NEM NUNCA O MERGULHAR EM ÁGUA
OU UM QUALQUER OUTRO LIQUIDO.
•Nenhuma responsabilidade pode ser exiigida se a utilização do aparelho não tiver sido
