TECC Mini Electronic Cigarette User manual

The Mini Electronic Cigarette –User Manual
The Mini electronic cigarette is an electronic device which delivers nicotine
and gives the user the same satisfaction as a traditional cigarette.
The Mini provides a new way for cigarette users to enjoy the sensations
of smoking even in locations where smoking is prohibited.
The liquid contained within pre-filled Mini cartomizers comprises of
propylene glycol, glycerine (essential for creating the vapour), liquid nicotine and flavourings.
Unlike combustible tobacco, electronic cigarettes contain no tar, formaldehyde, benzene, nitrosamines
or any of the other hundreds of known harmful chemicals found in conventional cigarettes. An
electronic cigarette does not contravene the smoking ban and there are no known passive ‘smoking’
risks.

Mini Electronic Cigarette assembly and use
Ensure your Mini battery unit/s are fully charged prior to use –see ‘Charging your Mini batteries ‘
Remove all outer packaging and silicone covers from a cartomizer and gently screw the unit onto a Mini
battery.
Attempt to inhale on the Mini ensuring a slow inhalation for about 2-4 seconds –longer slower
inhalations will result in larger amounts of vapour and a stronger ‘throat hit’.

If the LED end of the battery flashes rapidly for approximately 10 seconds, the battery requires a
recharge –see ‘Charging your Mini batteries’
If the vapour product significantly dishes or stops entirely and the battery is charged, replace the
cartomizer.
Continuous inhalations for 5 seconds or longer will activate a safety mechanism forcing the battery to
interrupt the connection to the atomizer to avoid overheating and/or possible damage to the
cartomizer.
Ensure that your Mini Electronic Cigarette is kept away from electrical devices such as mobile phones
and sharp objects such as keys to prevent damage.
Charging your Mini batteries
Connect your charger to the source of power first ensuring the power is then turned on. A green LED
will display on the charging unit.
To charge the battery, gently screw the battery into the charger avoiding over tightening the thread.
Upon successful connection, the LED unit at the end of the battery will illuminate to indicate a charge. A
fully depleted battery can take up to 3 hours to charge completely.
Upon completion of a charge, the LED on the Mini battery unit will go out. The battery should then be
removed and not left connected to the charger beyond completion of a charge.
Mini batteries output at a 3.6V average. The input supply voltage of the charger is AC100V-240V,
50/60Hz or DC6-24V (car charger adaptor).
Pre-filled Mini Cartomizers
Nicotine is a natural alkaloid extracted from tobacco leaves. The cartomizer contains nicotine in a
solution of propylene glycol and glycerine along with flavourings. Cartomizers do not contain any of the
harmful substances associated with combustible tobacco.
Only use compatible Mini Cartomizers with the Mini Electronic Cigarette.
Cartomizers are disposable and once used should be disposed of responsibly.
An unused/sealed cartomizer shelf life is approximately 24months.
Do not mix a pre-filled cartomizer with other liquids.
Refillable Mini Cartomizers
Refillable Mini Cartomizers are empty/dry on arrival. These are intended to be refilled using any high
quality pre-mixed liquid or mix-your-own solution. Attempting to use a Refillable Mini Cartomizer prior
to properly filling the same will result in a high probability of complete failure/burning out of the
atomizer coil. It is very important to ensure that refillable cartomizers are properly filled ensuring
complete saturation of the fluval-like material inside. Please refer to the following guide for further
refilling instructions:

Remove the rubber cap either by hand or with a pin/paperclip.
Hold the cartomizer at a 45° angle.
Drip the liquid slowly down the side of the cartomizer and turn gradually to allow even soaking
of liquid into the wadding.
Avoid getting any liquid into the narrow central cylinder within the cartomizer as this space
allows for airflow (see final step if you suspect liquid has entered the central cylinder).
Hold upright for a short moment to allow the liquid to saturate the wadding material
throughout.
Repeat the process until no more liquid is absorbed into the wadding material.
Replace the lid.
IMPORTANT - Before connecting the cartomizer to the battery, blow through the cartomizer
from the mouthpiece end onto a piece of tissue to collect any loose liquid that has not been
absorbed by the wadding or has entered the central cylinder. Wipe the connecting thread and
proceed to connect the cartomizer to the battery.
N.B. The refilling process can also be achieved with the use of a blunt ended syringe.
How many cigarettes are equivalent to one cartomizer?
Every smoker is different and there are countless combinations of preference toward tobacco brand,
nicotine strength and quantity consumed, taste and speed of draw and reasons for smoking. It is often
difficult to give an accurate comparison for electronic cigarettes for conventional cigarette smoking but
an approximation can be given based on the nicotine content of any given cartomizers or liquid.
A single cartomizer houses approximately 1ml of nicotine liquid. The nicotine strength is indicative of
the strength of nicotine used for the solution measured at the marked ‘mg’ per millilitre. An 18mg
strength cartomizer, containing 1ml of liquid will contain amongst the diluents and flavourings, 18mg of
nicotine. Compare this to a twenty packet of cigarettes labelled as 0.9mg –this number reflecting the
nicotine content per cigarette. 0.9mg multiplied by 20 equates to a total nicotine count of 18mg.
Similarly, a single cartomizer at 14mg strength would equate to 20 cigarettes at 0.7mg –a milder
cigarette and so on.
Whilst consuming a single cartomizer at 18mg would represent the equivalent nicotine of 20 cigarettes
at 0.9mg, the physical time using a single cartomizer in comparison to smoking 20 cigarettes will vary
depending on the individual and their frequency and length of draws.
Troubleshooting
The battery is flashing continuously for approximately 10 seconds –The battery needs to be charged.

Reduced/no vapour production –Ensure the battery is fully charged. Test the connected cartomizer on
another battery. If there is still little to no vapour then replace/refill the cartomizer. Should a new
cartomizer continue not to work, ensure the connecting thread on the battery is free of any dirt, debris
or liquid using dry tissue or paper towel.
The battery LED will not activate/illuminate upon inhale –Attempt to charge the battery. A solid lit LED
will indicate a successful connection. If no LED is present when attempting to charge then the battery
may have met the end of its natural charge/life cycle and would require replacement.
The battery LED is much dimmer than usual –a dim LED is usually a sign of a failing battery following
regular use/recharges. If the battery is no longer activating a cartomizer this would require replacement.
The charging unit displays no illuminated LED when the power is on –Attempt to use another socket.
Ensure the attaching figure 8 cable is properly connected and there is no damage or visible
showing/fraying covering wire. Should the problem remain, the charger would require replacement.
