2 Safety instructions
2.1 General safety
DDANGER! Failure to obey these warnings will result in death
or serious injury.
Before starting up the device for the first time, verify that the
operating voltage matches the power supply voltage (see data
plate).
In the event of fire use a fire extinguisher which is suitable for
electrical devices.
!WARNING! Failure to obey these warnings could result in
death or serious injury.
The device may not be used if the device itself or the connection
cable are visibly damaged.
This device may only be repaired by qualified personnel.
Improper repairs can lead to considerable hazards.
Should the device need to be repaired, contact the customer
services.
This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and know-ledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Never pull the plug out of the socket by the cable.
2.2 Operating the device safely
!CAUTION! Failure to obey these cautions could result in
minor or moderate injury.
Only use cleaning agents approved by Dometic WAECO:
– AirCon Refresh, content 1 l, ref. no.: 8887400008
– AirCon Refresh, content 20x 100 ml, ref. no.: 8887400016

Never operate the device without any fluid.
Before starting the device, ensure that the power supply line
and the plug are dry.
Get out of the vehicle during cleaning.
Ensure good ventilation. Do not breathe in the spray from the
air-conditioning cleaning agent.
ANOTICE! Damage hazard
Never expose the device to moisture.
Do not clean plastic parts with solvents or corrosive substances.

5 Intended use
The Refresh-o-mat is an ultrasonic spraying device for cleaning vehicle air-
conditioning systems or for eradicating odors in the vehicle interior. The
device produces a fine spray of active agent which is distributed by the air-
conditioning system and thereby removes impurities and odors.
Used once a year, the air-conditioning system will be cleaned hygienically
and be free of odors.
This product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application in
accordance with these instructions.
This manual provides information that is necessary for proper installation
and/or operation of the product. Poor installation and/or improper operating
or maintenance will result in unsatisfactory performance and a possible fail-
ure.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury or damage to the product
resulting from:
Incorrect assembly or connection, including excess voltage
Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than original spare
parts provided by the manufacturer
Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufac-
turer
Use for purposes other than those described in this manual
Dometic reserves the right to change product appearance and product
specifications.

6 Technical description
6.1 General description
The ultrasonic cells diffuse the air-conditioning cleaning agent into a fine
spray. The spray is directed through the hose by a fan to the suction open-
ings of the air-conditioning system.
The Refresh-o-mat switches off automatically in the following events:
The fluid reaches the minimum level
The tank is overfilled (the Refresh-o-mat does not start if the tank is too
full)
A temperature of 65 °C is exceeded

7 Operation
7.1 Cleaning the air-conditioning unit

Preparing the Refresh-o-mat
1. Connect the Refresh-o-mat to the power supply (fig. 4, page 3).
2. Shake the air-conditioning cleaning agent thoroughly.
3. Open the lid and fill the Refresh-o-mat with cleaning agent up to the
maximum filling level indicator (fig. 5, page 4).
4. Close the door.
5. Plug in the hose completely (fig. 6, page 4).
Setting up the Refresh-o-mat
1. Place the Refresh-o-mat upright and securely in the foot area of the
passenger's seat (fig. 7, page 4).
2. Place the hose in the vicinity of the suction opening of the ventilation
system.
Setting the air-conditioning system
1. Set the air-conditioning system (fig. 8, page 4):
– Set the temperature control to the lowest level (1).
– Set the blower to the lowest level (2).
– Set the front ventilation (3) and open all air outlets on the dashboard
and position upwards.
– Set to ventilation (4).
NOTICE! Damage hazard
If the temperature in the vehicle exceeds 60 °C, switch on the air-
conditioning unit before the cleaning procedure and cool down the
interior to below 60 °C.
NOTE
Only use Dometic WAECO’s air-conditioning cleaning agents.
Observe the safety instructions on the packaging of the air-
conditioning cleaning agent.
Check whether the pollen filter is contaminated and replace it
if necessary.

2. Manual air-conditioning systems: Switch off the air-conditioning
system (5).
3. Automatic air-conditioning systems: Set to “Economy” (6) and the lowest
temperature setting.
Starting the cleaning procedure
!
1. Press “START/STOP” once (fig. 9, page 4) to start the cleaning proce-
dure with 100 ml of fluid.
2. The “READY/ON” LED lights up green.

3. Ensure that the spray from the ventilation is sucked up (fig. 0, page 4).
4. Get out of the vehicle and close the doors.
5. Allow the air-circulation/automatic air-conditioning system to run for
about 20 minutes.
Ending the cleaning procedure
I
1. Press “START/STOP” once to end the cleaning procedure prematurely.
2. Disconnect from the power supply.
Ventilating the vehicle
1. Open all vehicle doors and switch off the air-circulation blower and the
air-conditioning.
2. Allow the interior of the vehicle to ventilate for about 30 minutes.
3. After the cleaning procedure leave the blower running for more than
10 minutes to dry the vaporizer.
CAUTION! Health hazard
Do not breathe in the spray.
NOTE
For a cleaning procedure with 400 ml of fluid press “START/
STOP” twice. All three LEDs flash briefly to confirm.
NOTE
The Refresh-o-mat stops automatically when the fluid reaches a
minimum level.

7.2 Cleaning the interior

Use the Refresh-o-mat to clean the interior of the vehicle as described in
chapter “Cleaning the air-conditioning unit” on page 12.
1. Set up the Refresh-o-mat without a hose, pointing into the interior of the
vehicle.
2. Connect the Refresh-o-mat to the power supply.

3. Press “START/STOP” once (fig. 9, page 4), to start the cleaning proce-
dure with 100 ml of fluid.
✔The “READY/ON” LED lights up green.

4. Get out of the vehicle and close the doors.
5. The Refresh-o-mat stops automatically after approx. 20 minutes when
the fluid reaches a minimum level.
6. Press “START/STOP” once, to end the cleaning procedure prematurely.
7. Disconnect from the power supply.
8. Open all vehicle doors and allow the vehicle interior to air for approx.
30 minutes.
7.3 Cleaning the outer air intake ducts
(only with adapter kit accessory)

NOTE
Only use Dometic WAECO’s own Car Refresh interior cleaning
agent.
CAUTION! Health hazard
Do not breathe in the spray.
NOTE
For a cleaning procedure with 400 ml of fluid, press “START/
STOP” twice. All three LEDs flash briefly to confirm.
NOTE
To completely remove odors in vehicles, the outer air ducts
also have to be cleaned. The adapter kit (ref. no. 8885300097)
can be used to do this.
Only use Dometic WAECO’s own AirCon Refresh air-condi-
tioning cleaning agent.

Use the Refresh-o-mat to clean the outer air ducts as described in the
chapter “Cleaning the air-conditioning unit” on page 12.
1. Set air-conditioning system to outer air mode (4) (fig. 8, page 4).
2. Place the Refresh-o-mat in front of the vehicle.
3. Connect the adapter kit to the Refresh-o-mat. Place the end of the
adapter kit in front of the outer air ducts (fig. a, page 5).
4. Connect the Refresh-o-mat to the power supply.
!
5. Press “START/STOP” once (fig. 9, page 4), to start the cleaning
procedure with 100 ml of fluid.
✔The “READY/ON” LED lights up green.

6. Ensure that the spray from the ventilation is sucked up.
7. The Refresh-o-mat stops automatically after approx. 20 minutes when
the fluid reaches a minimum level.
8. Press “START/STOP” once, to end the cleaning procedure prematurely.
9. Disconnect from the power supply.
10.Open all vehicle doors and allow the vehicle interior to air for approx.
30 minutes.
8 Maintaining and cleaning the device
A
1. Disconnect from the power supply.
2. Remove the hose.
3. Empty any remaining fluid (fig. b, page 5).
4. Rinse out with water.
CAUTION! Health hazard
Do not breathe in the spray.
NOTE
For a cleaning procedure with 400 ml of fluid press “START/
STOP” twice. All three LEDs flash briefly to confirm.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
Do not use any sharp or hard objects for cleaning since they may
damage the device.

9 Troubleshooting
10 Warranty
The statutory warranty period applies. If the product is defective, please
contact your retailer or the manufacturer's branch in your country
(see dometic.com/dealer).
For repair and warranty processing, please include the following documents
when you send in the product:
A copy of the receipt with purchasing date
A reason for the claim or description of the fault
Note that self-repair or non-professional repair can have safety conse-
quences and might void the warranty.
NOTE
You can collect the remaining fluid (approx. 30 ml) in a suitable
container and use it for the next cleaning procedure.

2.1 Grundlegende Sicherheit

Kontrollieren Sie vor Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes, ob die
Betriebsspannung und die Spannung der Stromversorgung
übereinstimmen (siehe Typenschild).

sche Geräte geeignet ist.

Verwahren und benutzen Sie das Gerät außerhalb der Reich-
weite kleiner Kinder.
Kinder sollten beaufsichtigt werden, um sicherzustellen, dass
sie nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.

Betreiben Sie das Gerät niemals ohne Flüssigkeit.
Achten Sie vor der Inbetriebnahme darauf, dass Zuleitung und
Stecker trocken sind.
Während der Reinigung müssen Sie das Fahrzeug verlassen.
Achten Sie auf eine gute Belüftung. Atmen Sie den Sprühnebel
des Klimaanlagen-Reinigers nicht ein.
AACHTUNG! Beschädigungsgefahr
Setzen Sie das Gerät niemals Nässe aus.
Kunststoffteile nicht mit Lösungsmitteln oder aggressiven Subs-
tanzen reinigen.
