SafetyPrecautions
Please read the following recommended safety
precautions carefullyfor your safety.
Power Source
The TVsetshouldbe operated onlyfroma220-240
VAC,50 Hzoutlet.Ensure thatyou selectthe correct
voltage setting for yourconvenience.
Power Cord
Donotplace the set, apiece offurniture,etc. on the
powercord (mainslead) orpinchthecord.Handlethe
powercord by the plug.Donotunplug the appliance
by pulling from the power cord and never touch the
powercordwithwethandsas thiscouldcauseashort
circuitor electricshock.Nevermakeaknotinthecord
or tieitwithother cords.The power cords shouldbe
placedinsuch awaythatthey arenotlikelytobe
stepped on.Adamaged power cord can cause re or
give you an electricshock.When itisdamaged and
needs tobe replaced,itshouldbe done by quali ed
personnel.
Moisture and Water
Donotuse thisdevice inahumid
anddampplace(avoidthe bathroom,
the sink inthe kitchen,and near the
washingmachine).Donotexpose this
devicetorainorwater,asthismay be
dangerous and do notplace objects

vases,ontop.Avoidfrom dripping

Cleaning
Before cleaning,unplug the TV set
from thewalloutlet. Donotuse

Ventilation
The slotsand openings on the TV
setare intended for ventilation and toensure reliable
operation.Topreventoverheating,theseopenings
mustnotbe blocked orcovered inanyway.
Heat and Flames
The setshouldnotbe placed near
toopen flames and sources of
intenseheatsuchasan electric
heater.Ensurethatno open ame
sources,such as lighted candles,
areplacedon topoftheTV.
Batteries shouldnotbe exposed toexcessive heat

Lightning

goingon holiday,disconnectthe power
cord fromthe walloutlet.

the service technician has used replacementparts,

Fordisplayingyour computer’sscreen image on
your LCDTV,you can connect your computer tothe
TVset.

any connections.
•Use 15-pinD-sub display cabletoconnectaPC to
the LCDTV.
•When the connection ismade,switch toPCsource.

Connectingtoa DVD Player
Ifyou wanttoconnectaDVDplayertoyourLCD
TV,you canuse connectorsofthe TV set. DVD
players may have differentconnectors.Please refer

beforemaking any connections.

•IfyourDVDplayerhas an HDMIsocket,you can
connectviaHDMI. When you connecttoDVDplayer

the camcoder toVIDEOINsocketatthe same time
since itcan cause noise inthe picture.Forselecting

•Tolisten the TVsound from headphones,connect
tothe HEADPHONEjack oftheTV.
UsingOtherConnectors
Youcanconnectarangeofoptionalequipment
toyourLCD TV.Possibleconnectionsareshown
below.Notethatcables showninthe illustration are
notsupplied.
•Toconnectexternalspeakers,use an audiocable.
Donotreverse theAUDIO LEFTandAUDIO RIGHT
jacks.Turnon the LCD TV and externalspeaker set
afterall connections are made.Refer toyour speaker
set’smanualfor further queries.
•For connectingatoadevicethathasSPDIF support,
use an appropriateSPDIFcabletoenablesound
connection.
ConnectingOtherEquipmentvia
Scart
Mostdevices supportSCARTconnection.You can
connecta;DVDrecorder,aVCRoradecoder toyour
LCDTV by using the SCARTsockets.Notethatcables
showninthe illustration are notsupplied.
Poweroffboththe TV and the devices beforemaking
any connections.

InsertingBatteriesinthe
RemoteControl Handset
•Remove the battery cover located on the back of
the handsetby gentlypulling backwards from the
indicatedpart.
•InserttwoAAA/R3 or equivalenttype batteries
inside.Place the batteries inthe rightdirections and
replace the battery cover.
Note:Removethebatteryfromremotecontrol
handsetwhen itisnottobe used foralong period.
Otherwise itcan be damaged due toany leakage of
batteries.
Remoterange isapproximately7m/23ft.
Switchingthe TVOn/Off
To Switch the TV On
•Connectthe power cord tothe 220-240V AC,50
Hz.
•PressSTANDBYswitch.ThenthestandbyLED
lightsup.
•Toswitch on the TV from standby mode either:
•Press the “ ”button,P+ /P- or anumericbutton
on the remotecontrol.
•Press the -P/CH or P/CH+ button on the TV.The TV
willthen switch on.
Note:If youswitch on your TVviaPROGRAMME
UP/DOWNbuttons onthe remotecontrolor on the
TVset,the programme thatyou were watching last
willbe reselected.
By either method the TVwillswitch on.
To Switch the TV Off
•Pressthe “ ”buttonon the remotecontrol or
press the STANDBYswitch,so the TV will switch
tostandby mode.
•Topowerdownthe TVcompletely,unplugthe
power cordfrom the mains socket.
Note:When the TVisswitched tostandby mode,
standby LEDcan blink toindicatethatfeatures such
as Standby Search,Over AirDownload or Timer is
active.
InputSelection
Once you have connected externalsystems toyour
TV,you can switch todifferentinput sources.
•Press “SOURCE”button on your remotecontrolfor
directlychanging sources.
or,
•Select “Source”option fromthemainmenu
byusing“ ”or “ ”button.Usethen“ ”or
“ ” buttontohighlightaninputandpress“ ”button
toselect.
Note:Youcanmark desiredsourceoptionsby
pressing theOK button.Therefore,when “SOURCE”
buttonispressed,onlythemarkedsource optionswill
be available(exceptfor the TVsource).
Basic Operations
Youcanoperate your TV using both the remote
controlandonset buttons.
Operation with the Buttons on the TV
Volume Setting
•Press “ ”buttontodecreasevolume or“
”button toincrease volume,soavolumelevelscale
(slider)will be displayed on the screen.
Programme Selection
•Press “P/CH+”buttontoselectthe nextprogramme or
“P/CH-”button toselectthe previous programme.
Viewing Main Menu
•Press “ ”/“ ”buttons atthe same time
toviewmainmenu.Inthe Mainmenu selectsub-
