3. inbetriebnAhMe
Schließen Sie den Switch, wie oben unter „Anschluss“ gezeigt, an.
Für das externe 48 V Netzteil beachten Sie bitte die separate, beiliegende Anleitung.
Nun können Sie Ihre POE-fähigen Endgeräte durch ein RJ45 Ethernetkabel mit dem Switch
verbinden. Bitte beachten Sie dabei die maximale Kabellänge von 100 Metern zwischen den
Endgeräten und dem Switch.
Schalten Sie zuletzt das Netzteil ein. Nach dem Start leuchten die LED’s der PORTS zweimal
hintereinander auf. Je nach Endgerät kann es einige Sekunden dauern bis die Energieversorgung
durch den Switch eingeschaltet wird.
Bitte beachten Sie zusätzlich Folgendes:
▸Einrichtungen mit Festanschluss: Außerhalb der Einrichtung muss eine leicht
zugängliche Trennvorrichtung vorhanden sein.
▸Einrichtungen mit Steckanschluss: Die Steckdose muss nahe der Einrichtung
angebracht und leicht zugänglich sein.
▸Erde: Bitte erden Sie das AC / DC-Netzteil an der PE-Klemme.
▸48 V Anschluss: Bitte benutzen Sie, wie unter dem Punkt „2. Anschluss“ auf
Seite 5 gezeigt, vier Adern für den 48 V Anschluss.

Connect the Switch as described in the chapter "Connection".
For the external 48V power supply unit , please cf. the separate instructions provided.
Now you may connect all your PoE ready devices to the Switch using an RJ45 Ethernet cable. Please
observe the maximum Ethernet cable length of 100m for connection from the Switch to the devices.
Turn on the power supply unit last. After turning on the power supply unit, the Port LEDs will flash
twice. Depending on the type of device, it may take a couple of seconds before the Switch starts
providing power.
Please also take note of the following:
▸Installations with a land line: You need an easily accessible separator outside of the
installation.
▸Installations with a plug connection: The outlet needs to be close to the installation and
needs to be easily accessible.
▸Earth: Please ground the AC/DC power supply unit using the PE clamp.
▸48V connection: Please use 4 wires for the 48V connection as described in
point “2. Connection” on page 13.
