Siting the base
A site should be chosen with the following
characteristics:
A flat and stable surface
At most 1.8 metres from a power outlet
and a telephone jack
At least 1 metre from any other electronic
appliance to avoid interference
Out of direct sunlight and a sufficient
distance from any heat source
Away from any wet or damp area, such as
a bathroom
Note: since the base and the portable
handset communicate via radio waves, it is
important that the base is located in an open
area to ensure the best possible signal. The
normal range is approximately 300 metres
when there is a direct line of sight to the
base, and approximately 50 metres when
the base is indoors and the phone is
outdoors. Thick concrete walls significantly
reduce this range. The symbol on the
portable handset indicates when you are in
range of the base. Whenever you are
outside range of the base, the symbol
blinks, and the handset reads Searching.
Connecting to the power
Base
1.Plug the cord from the power adapter and
the telephone cord into the bottom of the
base, in the corresponding connectors.
2.Push the metallic stand into the two holes
beneath the two rubber feet at the rear of
the product. Ensure that the metallic stand
is firmly pushed into place.
3.Plug the power adapter into the wall
outlet, and turn on.

Handset
1. Plug the power adapter into the socket on
the bottom of the charger (the charger's
power adapter has a red plastic plug
inserted in one end). Plug the other end
into the outlet, and turn on.
2.Pull off the lid for the handset battery
compartment on the back, and insert the
2 AAA rechargeable batteries provided,
ensuring the polarities are correct. Close
the lid.
Caution: do not use non-rechargeable
batteries. Use only the rechargeable
batteries provided. Use of incorrect
batteries may damage your telephone and
invalidate your warranty.
3. Place the handset on the base, and wait
for the batteries to charge fully, at least
24 hours. Once it is done charging, the
battery symbol will appear in the upper
right corner of the screen.
4.After charging for 24 hours, plug the
telephone cord from the base into the wall
jack.
Turning on
When turning on your phone for the first
time, you are asked to indicate the
country in which you are using it : select
the country using the Up/Down scrolling
keys, then confirm with Menu/OK.
Setting the date and time
If you subscribe to your operator's Caller ID
service, the date and time will automatically
display on the handset. If not, follow the
steps below.
1.On the handset, press the –button under
Menu on the screen. Press the bottom
part of the button to get to Clock and
alarm. Press Select. When Date & time
appears, press Select again.
2.Use the keypad to enter the date in DD-
MM-YY format, for example 04-11-10 for
4 November 2010.
3.Press Save, and enter the time using 24-
hour HH-MM format, for example 14-45
for 14:45 (or 2:45pm).
4.Press Save to confirm. You can either
wait for a few seconds or press Back
twice to return to the display. The time is
then displayed on the top right of the
screen.
5.The handset is ready to be used.
Power outage
If the power goes out, you can only use the
base to receive and make calls. The
telephone will ring when a call comes in, but
the screen will not illuminate, and caller ID
will not be saved to the calls list. You will not
be able to use the other features of the base
or the handset until power is restored.

Making a call
From the base
1.Pick up the handset, wait for the dial tone
and then dial the number.
From the cordless handset
1.Press .
2.Wait for the dial tone, and dial the
number.
Intercom
This feature lets you make a call between
the base and the cordless handset.
On the base
1.Press Intercom, followed by the cordless
handset's number, '1'.
2.Press OK to dial this number.
On the cordless handset
1.Press the Int button (lower right on the
keypad), followed by the number of the
base, '0'.
2.Press OK to dial this number.
Note: when receiving an internal call, the
screen will read Intern. call handset 1 or
Base.
Answering a call
From the base
1.When the handset rings, pick up the
handset to answer the call.
From the cordless handset
1.When the handset rings, press to
answer the call.
Adjusting the volume
1.During a call, press or to adjust the
earpiece or speaker volume.
The sound level is shown on the screen.
Ending a call
From the base
1.Replace the handset.
Once the handset is hung up, the duration
of the call will display for 5 seconds.
From the cordless handset
1.Press .
Once the handset is hung up, the duration
of the call will display for 5 seconds.

Phonebook
The handset's phonebook can hold up to
250 names and telephone numbers. The
numbers can have up to 24 digits, and
names can have up to 12 characters.
Entries are in alphabetical order.
Adding a contact
1.Press Names. Use to select Add a
name.
2.Press Select. Enter name appears.
3.Enter a name with the keypad, and press
OK.
4.Enter the number. Press OK to save. Use
or to select a ringtone, and press
Select to confirm.
5.Press Back to return to standby mode.
Deleting a contact
1.Press .
2.Select the contact to delete, and press
Options.
3.Scroll to Delete name, and press
Select.
4.Delete? appears, along with the contact's
name. Press Yes to confirm, or No to
return to the Options menu.
5.Press Back to return to standby mode.
Deleting all contacts
1.Press Names.
2.Scroll to Del. phonebook, and press
Select.
3.Delete all names? appears. Press Yes to
confirm, or No to return to the Options
menu.
4.Press Back to return to standby mode.
Phonebook status
You can display the number of contacts
stored in the phonebook.
1.Press Names.
2.Scroll to Memory status, and press
Select.
3.Press Back twice to return to standby
mode.

Answering machine
A maximum of 59 messages can be saved,
for a total recording time of 30 minutes. The
maximum duration of each message (just
like your announcements) is 3 minutes each.
Turning the answering machine
on/off
Note: the base and handset will display
in standby mode when the answering
machine is on.
From the base
1.Press on an area to the right of .
From the cordless handset
1.Press Menu, scroll to Answering
machine and press Select.
2.Scroll to Answering machine on/off,
and press Select.
3.Use or to select On or Off, and press
Select.
Recording an announcement
From the base
1.Press Menu, Answering machine will be
highlighted. Press Select.
2.Scroll to Announcement, and press
Select.
3.Record is selected, press Select.
4.Use or to choose Answer and record
or Answer only, and press Select.
5.You will then hear 'Speak after the beep'
on the handset.
6.After the beep, speak clearly into the
handset, and press Save to end
recording.
7.Your announcement is played back
automatically. If you want to delete it,
press Delete when listening to it. If you
press Save, or wait for the end of the
recording, the message will be saved.
From the handset
1.Press Menu, scroll with to Answering
machine and then press Select.
2.Follow steps 2 onward from the previous
section.
Listening to messages
From the base
1.Press Menu, Answering machine is
selected, and then press Select.
2.Play is selected. Press Select, and then
use or to select the messages to
listen to. Press Listen.
During playback, you can use the Pause,
Next, Previous or Del keys.
From the handset
1.Press Menu. Use to select Answering
machine, and press Select.
2.Play is selected. Press Select to select the
messages to listen to, or scroll to select
Play all. Press Select to play all
messages.
3.Press to switch between handset
earpiece and speaker.
During playback, press Options, and with
or , select Pause, Repeat message,
Next, Previous or Del.

Troubleshooting
Deleting messages
From the base
1.Press Menu, Answering machine is
selected, and then press Select.
2.Use to choose Delete mess., and press
Select.
3.Delete played mess.? appears. Press Yes
to confirm or No to cancel.
From the handset
1.Press Menu, scroll with to Answering
machine and then press Select.
2.Follow steps 2 onward from the previous
section.
Memory full
The memory is full if less than 10 seconds of
recording time remain, or if 59 messages
have been recorded.
When the memory is full:
Your caller will be asked to record his/her
message in the remaining 10 seconds. If
the caller talks until the memory is full, the
answering machine will announce 'Thank
you for your call', and will hang up.
The answering machine will automatically
switch to Answer only mode, and you will
have to delete some messages before
new ones can be recorded.

Localisation de la base
Elle sera définie en prenant en compte les
points suivants :
Surface stable et plate.
Distance maximale de 1,8 mètre des
prises téléphone et secteur.
Distance minimale d’un mètre de tout
appareil électronique afin d’éviter les
interférences.
À l’abri de la lumière directe du soleil et à
distance suffisante de toute source de
chaleur.
En dehors de toute zone humide telle une
salle de bains.
Nota : la communication entre la base et le
téléphone portable s’effectuant par ondes
radio, il est important que la base soit
localisée dans un endroit bien dégagé de
manière à assurer le meilleur signal
possible. La portée normale est de 300
mètres environ en vue directe et de 50
mètres environ entre intérieur et extérieur.
Des murs de béton épais réduisent
considérablement cette portée. L'icône du
portable indique quand vous êtes à portée
de la base. Une fois hors de portée de la
base, l’icône clignote et le combiné
indique Recherche.
Branchement du secteur
Base
1.Branchez le câble d'alimentation de
l’adaptateur secteur et le cordon
téléphonique en partie inférieure de la
base ans les connecteurs correspondants.
2.Poussez le support métallique dans les
deux trous sous les deux pieds en
caoutchouc à l'arrière du produit. Assurez-
vous que le support métallique est
fermement poussé et mis en place.
3.Branchez l’adaptateur secteur dans la
prise secteur murale et mettez sous
tension.
Combiné
1. Branchez l'adaptateur d'alimentation
secteur dans la prise de courant en
dessous du chargeur (l'adaptateur secteur
du chargeur dispose d'un bouchon en
plastique rouge inséré à une extrémité.
Branchez l'autre extrémité dans la prise
secteur et mettez sous tension.
2.Retirez le couvercle arrière des batteries
du combiné et insérez-y les 2 batteries
rechargeables AAA fournies en respectant
les polarités. Refermez le couvercle.

Mise en service
Attention : n’utilisez pas de batteries non
rechargeables. Utilisez uniquement les
batteries rechargeables fournies. Utiliser
des batteries inappropriées put
endommager votre téléphone et invalider
la garantie.
3. Placez le combiné sur la base et attendez
au moins 24 heures la charge complète
des batteries. Une fois la charge terminée,
l’icône de batterie sera affichée dans le
coin supérieur droit de l’afficheur.
4.Après 24 heures de charge, insérez le
cordon téléphonique de la base dans la
prise téléphonique murale.
Turning on
A l’allumage, le téléphone vous propose
de sélectionner le pays d’utilisation.
Utilisez les flèches Haut/Bas pour
sélectionner le pays souhaité et valider
votre choix, le téléphone effectuera seul
les réglages nécessaires.
Réglage date et heure
Si la Présentation du numéro a été souscrite
auprès de votre prestataire, la date et
l’heure sont automatiquement affichées sur
le combiné. Dans le cas contraire, procéder
comme suit.
1.Sur le combiné, appuyez sur le bouton –
sous Menu de l’afficheur. Appuyez en
partie inférieure du bouton pour
atteindre la ligne Horloge et réveil.
Appuyez sur Sélect. Date & heure étant
affiché, appuyez de nouveau sur Sélect.
2.Utilisez le clavier pour entrer la date au
format JJ-MM-AA, par exemple, 04-11-10
pour le 4 novembre 2010.
3.Appuyez sur Sauvegarder et entrez
l’heure en utilisant le format 24 heures
HH-MM, par exemple 14-45 pour 14H45.
4.Appuyez sur Sauvegarder pour confirmer.
Vous pouvez soit attendre quelques
secondes ou appuyer deux fois sur Retour
pour revenir à l’affichage. L’horodatage
entré est alors visible en partie supérieure
droite de l’afficheur.
5.Le combiné est prêt à être utilisé.
Défaut secteur
En ce qui concerne la base uniquement, en
cas de panne secteur, vous pouvez
continuer à utiliser la base pour recevoir et
émettre des appels. Le téléphone sonnera à
l’arrivée d’un appel mais l’afficheur ne sera
plus éclairé et le détail des appelants ne
sera pas mémorisé dans la liste des appels.
Vous ne pourrez pas utiliser les autres
fonctions de la base ou du combiné jusqu’au
rétablissement de la tension secteur.

droite du clavier) suivi du numéro de la

Régler le volume sonore

Répertoire
Le répertoire téléphonique du combiné peut
contenir jusqu’à 250 noms et numéros
téléphoniques. Les numéros peuvent
comporter jusqu’à 24 chiffres et les noms 12
caractères. Les entrées sont triées par ordre
alphabétique.
Ajouter un contact
1.Appuyez sur Noms. Utiliser pour
sélectionner Ajouter un nom.
2.Appuyez sur Sélect. Entrer nom est
affiché.
3.Entrez un nom en utilisant le clavier et
appuyez sur OK.
4.Entrez le numéro. Appuyez sur OK pour
sauvegarder. Utilisez ou pour
sélectionner une mélodie et appuyez sur
Sélect. pour confirmer.
5.Appuyez sur Retour pour revenir en mode
d‘attente.
Supprimer un contact
1.Appuyez sur .
2.Sélectionner le contact à supprimer et
appuyez sur Options.
3.Naviguez jusqu’à Supprimer nom et
appuyez sur Sélect.
4.Supprimer ? est affiché accompagné du
nom du contact. Appuyez sur Oui pour
confirmer ou Non pour retourner aux
options.
5.Appuyez sur Retour pour revenir en mode
d‘attente.
Supprimer tous les contacts
1.Appuyez sur Noms.
2.Naviguez jusqu’à Supp. répertoire et
appuyez sur Sélect.
3.Supprimer tous les noms ? est affiché.
Appuyez sur Oui pour confirmer ou Non
pour retourner aux options.
4.Appuyez sur Retour pour revenir en mode
d‘attente.
Etat du répertoire
Vous pouvez visualiser le nombre de
contacts mémorisés du répertoire.
1.Appuyez sur Noms.
2.Naviguez jusqu’à Etat mémoire et
appuyez sur Sélect.
3.Appuyez deux fois sur Retour pour revenir
en mode d‘attente.

Répondeur
Un maximum de 59 messages peut être
mémorisé, pour une durée totale
d’enregistrement de 30 minutes. La durée
maximale de chaque message, tout comme
celle de vos annonces, est de 3 minutes
maximum.
Activer/désactiver le répondeur
Nota : lorsque le répondeur est activé, la
base et le combiné affichent en mode
veille.
Depuis la base
1.Appuyez sur zone localisée à la droite du
bouton .
Depuis le combiné sans fil
1.Appuyez sur Menu, naviguez jusqu’à
Répondeur et appuyez sur Sélect.
2.Naviguez jusqu’à Répondeur On/Off et
appuyez sur Sélect.
3.Utilisez ou pour sélectionner Activé
ou Désactivé et appuyez sur Sélect.
Enregistrer une annonce
Depuis la base
1.Appuyez sur Menu, Répondeur est en
surbrillance. Appuyez sur Sélect.
2.Naviguez jusqu’à Annonce et appuyez
sur Sélect.
3.Enregistrer étant sélectionné, appuyez sur
Sélect.
4.Utilisez ou pour atteindre Réponse
et enregistrement ou Réponse simple et
appuyer sur Sélect.
5.« Parlez après le signal sonore » sera
émis simultanément sur le combiné.
6.Après le signal sonore, parlez clairement
devant le combiné et appuyez sur
Sauveg. pour terminer l’enregistrement.
7.Votre annonce est automatiquement lue.
Si vous souhaitez l’effacer, appuyez sur
Supprimer durant l’écoute. Si vous
appuyez sur Sauveg. ou attendez la fin de
l’enregistrement, le message sera
sauvegardé.
Depuis le combiné
1.Appuyez sur Menu et naviguez avec 
jusque Répondeur et appuyez sur Sélect.
2.Poursuivre au point 2 du paragraphe
précédent.
Ecouter les messages
Depuis la base
1.Appuyez sur Menu, Répondeur est
sélectionné et appuyez sur Sélect.
2.Lecture est sélectionné. Appuyez sur
Sélect. et avec ou , sélectionnez les
messages à écouter. Appuyez sur
Ecouter.

Depuis le combiné
1.Appuyez sur Menu. Utilisez pour
sélectionner Répondeur et appuyez sur

2.Lecture est sélectionné. Appuyez sur
Sélect. pour sélectionner les messages à
écouter ou naviguez pour sélectionner
Tout lire. Appuyez sur Sélect. pour lire
tous les messages.
3.Appuyez sur pour basculer entre
écouteur et haut-parleur du combiné.
Durant la lecture, appuyez sur Options et
avec ou , atteindre Pause, Répéter
message, Suivant, Précédent, Suppr.
4.Appuyez sur Sélect pour sélectionner
l’option
5.Supprimer les mess. lus ? est affiché.
Appuyez sur Oui pour confirmer ou Non
pour annuler.
Mémoire pleine
La mémoire est pleine, s’il reste moins de 10
secondes de temps d'enregistrement ou si
59 messages ont été enregistrés.
Lorsque la mémoire est pleine :
Votre interlocuteur sera invité à
enregistrer son message dans les 10
secondes. S’il parle à la saturation de la
mémoire, "Merci de votre appel » sera
annoncé et le répondeur raccrochera.
Le répondeur basculera automatiquement
en mode Réponse simple à et vous
devrez supprimer certains messages
avant que de nouveaux messages
puissent être enregistrés.
Effacer les messages
Depuis la base
1.Appuyez sur Menu, Répondeur est
sélectionné et appuyez sur Sélect.
2.Avec , atteindre Supprimer mess. et
appuyez sur Sélect.
3.Supprimer les mess. lus ? est affiché.
Appuyez sur Oui pour confirmer ou
Non pour annuler.
Depuis le combiné
1.Appuyez sur Menu et naviguez avec

jusque Répondeur et appuyez sur
