• Only use the power supply provided with your
device. Do not use it if it is damaged, or in the
presence of water.
• The Kiosk is for use with a power supply rated:
5 Volt DC, minimum 3 Amp. Failure to comply
may result in electrical hazard, re, injury, or
damage to the product.
Safety and regulatory guide

• Do not expose the Kiosk to direct sunlight,
high temperatures or submerge in water. Do not
disassemble, bend, burn, crush or puncture your
device.
• If you suspect that contact with water has
caused the device to malfunction, do not dry
withan external heat source.
Waste electrical and electronic equipment
Disposal information: This symbol means that
according to local laws and regulations, your
product and/or its battery shall be disposed
ofseparately from household waste.
When these products reach their end of life, take them
to a collection point designated by local authorities
or return them to Tended at the address given on
our website: tended.co.uk. The separate collection
and recycling of your products will help conserve
natural resources and ensure that they are recycled
in a manner that protects human health and the
environment.

The Kiosk

The Kiosk is used to quickly sync social
distancing information from the Hub with the
Dashboard. No mobile phone is required and
youcan sync multiple times per day.

Updates
Settings icon
The Kiosk will check for updates once a day
and each time it is switched on. If an update is
available, a window will pop up and display the
number of both the current and update versions.
You can choose to apply the update now by
pressing the “Update” button or dismiss the
update by tapping the “Later” button.
If the “Later” button is selected, the update can
be applied at any time by visiting the settings
menu and pressing “Update”.

Getting started
Before the Kiosk can be used, it needs to be
initialised by an Admin with a Tended account
who also has access to the internet.
First place the Kiosk in a suitable
location near a power source.
After plugging in the power supply, turn
it on using the button on the cable.
A red light will
show near the
button.

When the Kiosk is rst turned on, wait for
the welcome screen to appear. This can
take up to ve minutes to load. Tap the
screen to begin.
You will then be shown a web link and
activation code.

Authenticate with
the Dashboard and
approve the Kiosk
for use with your
organisation.
Once complete, the Kiosk will show an
updated welcome screen.
Head over to the link on a separate
device (such as a smartphone or
laptop) and enter the activation
codeshown on the screen.
The QR code can also be used to
quickly navigate to the web link.

Any active Hub can be synced with the Kiosk
as long as you have logged in via the Tended for
Business app.
To sync your Hub, rst select “Sync Hub”
on the Kiosk’s home screen.
The Kiosk will connect
to the Hub and a sync
progress bar will be
shown on the screen.
Syncing the Hub
Press the pairing button on
the Hub, check the light on
the left is blinking and hold
the Hub against the Kiosk’s
sync point.

Shutting the Kiosk down
Please follow the steps outlined below to shut
down your Kiosk. Turning the power off in any
other way can cause signicant system damage.
Navigate to the settings menu by pressing
the cog icon on the home screen.
Select the red “Shut down” button. The
Kiosk will turn off safely and you can now
turn off and remove the power supply.
