Beschreibung
Mit der Luxationsbandage nach Pavlik
kann die Hüft-Knie-Beugung der Beine
im Winkel von 90° bis 120° eingestellt
werden. Die Bandage besteht aus
Schulter- und Brustgurt sowie medial
und lateral verlaufender Beingurtung mit
Fußteilen. Vorgenommene Einstellungen
der Gurtung können dem Therapieverlauf
entsprechend angepasst werden.

Sicherheit
• Vor der Benutzung ist eine individuelle An-
passung des Produktes und eine Einwei-
sung in den Gebrauch durch einen er-
fahrenen Orthopädietechniker entsprech-
end der ärztlichen Anweisung erforderlich.
• Falsche Auswahl, Anpassung, Anwen-
dung und/oder mangelhafte Kontrolle
der Passform des Produktes können zu
gesundheitlichen Schäden führen.
• Die Orthese vor jedem Anlegen auf Be-
schädigungen überprüfen (z. B. lockere
Verbindungen, Verschlüsse, Gurte, etc.).
• Bei Textilprodukten ist zu beachten, dass
das Abtrennen des Einnähetiketts nicht
zulässig ist.
• Bei vermuteten Leistungsstörungen
(z. B. dem Gefühl einer nachlassenden
oder unzureichenden Wirkung) muss
unverzüglich der Arzt oder Orthopädie-
techniker aufgesucht werden.
• Alle im Zusammenhang mit dem Produkt
aufgetretenen schwerwiegenden Vor-
kommnisse sind der Wilhelm Julius Teufel
GmbH und der zuständigen Behörde des
Mitgliedstaats, in dem Sie niedergelas-
sen sind, zu melden. „Schwerwiegendes
Vorkommnis“ bezeichnet ein Vorkomm-
nis, das direkt oder indirekt eine der
nachstehenden Folgen hatte, hätte
haben können oder haben könnte:
a) den Tod eines Patienten, Anwenders
oder einer anderen Person,
b) die vorübergehende oder dauerhafte
schwerwiegende Verschlechterung des
Gesundheitszustands eines Patienten,
Anwenders oder anderer Personen,
c) eine schwerwiegende Gefahr für die
öentliche Gesundheit.
• Die Orthese nie auf verletzter Haut tragen.
• Die Orthese muss regelmäßig von einem
Arzt oder Orthopädietechniker auf ihre
Funktion, korrekten Sitz und eventuelle
Beschädigungen überprüft werden. Die
Abstände der Kontrollen sind für jeden
Patienten individuell festzulegen.
• Sollte das Produkt einer unverhältnismäßig
starken Belastung ausgesetzt gewesen
sein, muss es vor der weiteren Verwen-
dung von einem Orthopädietechniker auf
mögliche Schäden überprüft werden.
• Unzuträglicher Druck durch die Orthese
kann zu Hautschädigungen und Durch-
blutungsstörungen führen und muss
daher vermieden werden.
• Das Produkt ist zur Anwendung an
einem Anwender vorgesehen und
nicht zur Wiederverwendung bei weiteren
Personen geeignet!

Anwendung/Anpassung
1. Anpassung Brustteil
1.1 Vor dem ersten Anlegen werden
die fünf Steckschnallen von Brust-,
Schulter- und vorderen Beingurten ge-
önet. Legen Sie die Pavlik-Bandage
geönet und ausgebreitet auf eine
geeignete Unterlage (Wickeltisch). Das
Kind wird auf dem Rücken liegend auf
der Pavlik-Bandage so positioniert,
dass der Brustgurt zirkulär, einen Fin-
gerbreit unterhalb der Achsel und
noch oberhalb der Brustwarzen ge-
schlossen werden kann.
2. Anpassung Beinteil
2.1 Die Beingurte werden so angelegt,
dass ihre Längsbänder parallel zu bei-
den Seiten der Unterschenkel über
dem inneren und äußeren Knöchel
verlaufen. Das um die Fußunterseite
herum verlaufende Gurtteil muss
einige Zentimeter vor der Fersen-
hinterkante, Richtung Fußmitte hin,
positioniert sein.
2.2 Die an der Innenseite verlaufenden
Beingurte werden so am Brustgurt
angebracht, dass ein Abspreizwinkel
der Oberschenkel in den Hüftgelenken
von 50° bis 55° je Beinseite entsteht.
1.2 Die Schultergurte verlaufen über dem
Rücken über Kreuz, um ein Abrutschen
über die Schultern zu vermeiden.

Wichtig: Die Befestigung der Beingurte
muss vor der Achsellinie liegen.
Nachfolgend werden die außen ver-
laufenden Beingurte an den rückseitigen
Steckschnallen des Brustgurtes befestigt.
2.3 Soll eine unerwünschte Zunahme
des Abspreizwinkels im Therapie-
verlauf vermieden werden, kann
der stufenlos einstellbare Abdukti-
onshemmgurt eingesetzt werden.
Dieser besitzt eine Einsteckhülle, in
der mit wechselbaren Stegen eine
unerwünschte Adduktion der Hüften
eingeschränkt werden kann. Ein
kürzerer Steg ist bereits im Gurt ein-
gesteckt, ein längerer Steg liegt der
Pavlik-Bandage bei. Die Stege kön-
nen bei Bedarf auch gekürzt werden.
Um einen korrekten Sitz der Fußteile
zu gewährleisten, dürfen die drei
Verschlüsse über dem Rist, oberhalb
der Ferse und um den Unterschenkel
nicht zu locker angelegt werden.
3. Endgültige Fixierung der Gurte
und Polsterlaschen
3.1 Alle Gurte können nach der ersten
Anpassung mit einer Schere gekürzt
werden, jedoch mit ausreichend Über-
stand. Der Überstand ist entsprechend
den zu erwartenden therapeutisch
bedingten Nachpassungen zu bemes-
sen. Nachdem die endgültige Länge
der Gurte eingestellt ist, müssen die
Enden mit dem Klettpunkt der Polster-
laschen fixiert werden.

3.4 Das Gurtende wird als Hinterlegung
der Steckschnalle positioniert und
gekürzt. Mit dem Klettpunkt wird ab-
schließend die Polsterlasche auf dem
Gurtende fixiert.
3.5 Korrekt eingefädelte Verschlüsse
mit unterlegten Polsterlaschen. Die
schlauchförmigen Polster der Schul-
tergurte können abschließend so weit
wie möglich über die Steckschnallen
nach vorne unten gezogen werden.
Bei Bedarf können die Polster der
Schulter- und Beingurte mit der
REF23.402.000.00 nachbestellt werden.
Komfort/Hygiene
Die Orthese nicht auf verletzter Haut
tragen. Tragen Sie die Orthese alternativ
über einem dünnen Textil.

Description
With the Pavlik luxation bandage,
the hip-knee bone flexion can be set

Safety
• Before this device is used, the orthosis
has to be individually adapted to the
patient by an experienced orthopedic
technician and the patient has to be
trained in the orthosis’ use according to
the doctor’s instructions.
• Incorrect selection, adaptation, applicati-
on, and/or failure to monitor the correct fit
of this product may cause health damage.
• Check orthosis for damage (such as loose
connections, fasteners, belts, etc.) each
time it is put on.
• Do not remove the textile label from
textile products.
• In case you suspect any performance
malfunctions (e.g. an apparent reduction
or lack of eect), immediately call on your
doctor or orthopedic technician.
• All serious incidents that occur in connec-
tion with this product have to be reported
to the Wilhelm Julius Teufel GmbH and the
competent authority of the member state
in which you are established. A „serious
incident“ is any incident that caused, may
have caused, or may cause, directly or
indirectly, one of the following conse-
quences:
a) the death of a patient, user, or other
persons
b) temporary or permanent health
deterioration of a patient, user or
other persons
c) a serious public health threat.
• Never wear the orthosis on broken skin.
• The orthosis must be checked for pro-
per function, correct fit and potential
damage by a doctor or orthopedic tech-
nician at regular intervals. The timing
of these intervals has to be defined
individually for each patient.
• Should the product have been
subject to disproportionate stress,
it must be checked for potential
damage by an orthopedic technician before
further use.
• Harmful pressure caused by the orthosis
may cause skin injuries or disrupt blood
flow and must be avoided.
• This product is intended for use on
one person. It may not be reused on
another person.

Application/Adjustment
1. Fitting the Chest Section
1.1 Before initial use, the five buckles
on the chest, shoulder and front
leg belts should be opened. Lay the
Pavlik Bandage open and stretched
out on a suitable base (a nappy-
changing table). The child should
be positioned on its back, lying on
the Pavlik Bandage so that the
chest strap can be closed in a
circular manner, a finger‘s width
under the armpits whilst still
above the nipples.
2. Fitting the Leg Section
2.1 The leg straps are placed so that
the longitudinal straps run parallel
down both sides of the calves and
over the inner and outer ankle. The
belt part running underneath the
foot must be positioned some cen-
timetres in front of the rear edge
of the heel, in the direction of the
centre of the foot.
2.2 The leg straps running down the
inner side are attached to the chest
strap, so that a spreading of the
upper thigh within the hip joints is
possible to a degree of between 50°
and 55° per leg.
1.2 The shoulder straps should be crossed
across the back so that the bandage
does not slip over the shoulders.

Important: The attachment points
of the leg straps must lie below an
imaginary line drawn between the
armpits. Following this, the outer leg
straps are fastened to the rear buckles
on the chest strap.
2.3 Should an increase in movement
of the upper thighs be undesirab-
le during the therapy course, the
adjustable abduction inhibitor belt
can be used. It has an insert sleeve
for exchangeable stages, with the
help of which an undesired adduction
of the hips can be limited. A shorter
stage is already enclosed within the
belt, a longer stage is enclosed with
the Pavlik bandage. The stages can
also be shortened when required. To
guarantee a correct fit of the foot
parts, the three fasteners for the
instep, above the heel and around the
calf should not be applied too loosely.
3. Final fixing of the straps and
padded straps
3.1 All belts can be shortened using
a pair of scissors. However, make
sure to leave enough excess end.
Keep in mind that the belts might
need to be changed during the
course of the therapy. After the
final length of the belts is set,
the ends with the hook and loop
fasteners of the padded flaps
must also be fixed.

Description
La flexion de la hanche/du genou peut
être réglée sur un angle de 90° à 120°
avec le bandage de luxation selon Pavlik.
Le bandage est composé d‘une sangle
pour l‘épaule et pour la poitrine, ainsi que
d‘une sangle de jambe à déroulement
médial et latéral avec pièces pour le pied.
Le réglage des sangles peut être adapté
au déroulement thérapeuthique.

Sécurité
• Avant d‘utiliser le produit, il est néces-
saire d‘adapter le produit individuelle-
ment et d‘être formé à son utilisation
par un technicien orthopédique expéri-
menté conformément aux instructions
médicales.
• Un choix, une adaptation et une utilisa-
tion incorrectes et / ou un contrôle in-
susant de la taille du produit peuvent
entraîner des problèmes de santé.
• Vérifiez que l‘orthèse n‘est pas endom-
magée lors de chaque utilisation (par
ex. boucles, attaches, sangles des-
serrées, etc.).
• Pour les produits textiles, il convient
de noter qu‘il est interdit d‘enlever
l‘étiquette d‘entretien.
• En cas de défaillance suspectée (par
exemple, sensation de diminution de
l‘eet ou d‘un manque d‘ecacité), le
médecin ou le technicien orthopédiste
doit être consulté immédiatement.
• Tous les incidents graves survenus en
relation avec le produit doivent être
signalés à Wilhelm Julius Teufel GmbH
et à l‘autorité compétente de l‘État
membre dans lequel vous êtes établi.
« Incident grave » désigne un incident
qui, directement ou indirectement, a
entraîné, aurait pu ou pourrait entraîner
l‘un des événements suivants :
a) le décès d‘un patient, d‘un utilisateur
ou d‘une autre personne,
b) la détérioration grave temporaire
ou permanente de l‘état de santé
d‘un patient, d‘un utilisateur ou d‘une
autre personne,
c) un grave danger pour la santé
publique.
• Ne portez jamais l‘orthèse sur une
peau lésée.
• L‘orthèse doit être vérifiée régulière-
ment par un médecin ou un technicien
orthopédiste pour son fonctionnement,
son bon ajustement et dommage éven-
tuel. Les intervalles entre les contrôles
doivent être déterminés individuelle-
ment pour chaque patient.
• Si le produit a été exposé à une charge
excessive, il doit être vérifié par un
technicien orthopédiste pour détecter
d‘éventuels dommages avant toute
utilisation ultérieure.
• Une pression insusante de l‘orthèse
peut entraîner des lésions cutanées et
des problèmes de circulation sanguine
et doit donc être évitée.
• Le produit est destiné à être
utilisé par un seul utilisateur et
ne peut pas être utilisé par d‘autres
personnes!
