The equivalent of this service bulletin has been incorporated on production airplanes -0002, -0003,
-0008, -0023, -0025 and On.
NOTE: The owner/operators must have the Honeywell Communication Management Function (CMF) with
VHF Datalink Radio - Honeywell (Partial Provisions). Installation to include wires, antenna, circuit
breaker and rack prior to this bulletin.
NOTE: The GS-CF141BB-0214 AMI software must be ordered from Honeywell GDC (Global Data Center)
at 888-634-3330 prior to this service bulletin being accomplished. Contact Honeywell GDC at
888-634-3330. Cessna owned Citation Service Centers already have a copy of the GS-CF141BB-0214
AMI software CD.

test for the Communication Management Function Radio. The owner/operator can subscribe to this

COMPLIANCE
OPTIONAL. This service bulletin can be accomplished at the discretion of the owner.
A service bulletin published by Cessna Aircraft Company may be recorded as “completed” in an aircraft
log only when the following requirements are satis¿ed:
1) The mechanic must complete all of the instructions in the service bulletin, including the intent
therein.
2) The mechanic must correctly use and install all applicable parts supplied with the service bulletin
kit. Only with written authorization from Cessna Aircraft Company can substitute parts or rebuilt
parts be used to replace new parts.
3) The mechanic or airplane owner must use the technical data in the service bulletin only as
approved and published.
4) The mechanic or airplane owner must apply the information in the service bulletin only to aircraft
serial numbers identi¿ed in the “Effectivity” section of the bulletin.
5) The mechanic or airplane owner must use maintenance practices that are identi¿ed as acceptable
standard practices in the aviation industry and governmental regulations.
No individual or corporate organization other than Cessna Aircraft Company is authorized to make or
apply any changes to a Cessna-issued service bulletin, service letter, or Àight manual supplement without
prior written consent from Cessna Aircraft Company.
Cessna Aircraft Company is not responsible for the quality of maintenance performed to comply with this
document, unless the maintenance is accomplished at a Cessna-owned Citation Service Center.

Make sure that the Flight Crew Operations Summary included with this service bulletin is given to the
crew to inform them of the operational changes that come from the incorporation of this service bulletin.

ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare the airplane for maintenance.
A. Make sure that all switches are in the OFF/NORM position.
B. Disconnect electrical power from the airplane.
(1) Disconnect the airplane battery.
(2) Disconnect external electrical power.
C. Attach maintenance warning tags to the battery and external power receptacle that have "DO NOT
CONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER - MAINTENANCE IN PROGRESS" writtenonthem.
2. Open the aft baggage compartment door.
3. Remove access panel 312BTC. (Refer to 680 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 6, Access Plates and
Panels Identi¿cation - Description and Operation.)
4. (Refer to Figure 1.) Install the 7026201-804 Communications Management Radio Module.
A. Hold the communications management radio module in position and push it on to the connector
(PT535).
B. Tighten the two thumb screws that hold the communications management radio module to the
enclosure bracket.
C. Attach the antenna coaxial connector (PT1059) to the communications management radio module.
D. Install access panel 312BTC. (Refer to 680 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 6, Access Plates and
Panels Identi¿cation - Description and Operation.)
E. Engage the CMF Radio circuit breaker (HT244) found in the right aft J-box.
F. Close the aft baggage compartment door.

5. Load the MM7035638-102 Epic Options Software to turn on the CMF Function.
A. Connect external power to the airplane.
(1) Turn the EXT PWR, L AVN, R AVN, and EICAS to the ON position.
(2) Make sure that the Left and Right Glareshield fans are ON.
B. Connect the laptop computer to the LAN.
(1) Remove the access panel on the pedestal control panel.
(2) Remove the 50 ohm terminator.
(3) Connect the coaxial cable to the computer.
(4) Connect the 50 ohm terminator to the end of the coaxial cable.
C. Install the MM7035638-102 Epic Software Options disk into the computer.
(1) Click on the START Menu.
(2) Make a selection of the Aircraft Diagnostics.
(3) (RefertoFigure2.) UsethecomputermousetomakeaselectionoftheDATALOADER,
use the mouse to left click on that selection.
(4) (Refer to Figure 3.) Make sure that the DLS Installation Function page comes into view.
(5) (Refer to Figure 4.) Make sure that the PRE-LOADING DMU/CDROM DRIVES - DONE comes
into view.
NOTE: The message will show in the lower center of the page, on the computer, when all
of the system drives are found.
(6) (Refer to Figure 4.) Use the computer mouse to select and click FULL LOAD found at the
bottom of the display.
(7) (Refer to Figure 5.) Scroll down and click on the (DR-PN) TT7035638-102 software.
(8) Click on the directory ¿le.
NOTE: The directory ¿le will turn green when selected.
(9) (Refer to Figure 6.) Click on the SELECT FILE on the bottom of the screen.
(10) (Refer to Figure 7.) Make sure the con¿guration test is in progress.
(11) (Refer to Figure 8.) When the con¿guration test is complete, click on the START LOAD button
on the bottom of the screen.
(12) Select the Main Menu tab after the load is complete.
D. Install the GDC AMI software disk into the laptop computer.
(1) (RefertoFigure2.) UsethecomputermousetomakeaselectionoftheDATALOADER,
use the mouse to left click on that selection.
(2) (Refer to Figure 3.) Make sure that the DLS Installation Function page comes into view.
(3) (Refer to Figure 4.) Make sure that the PRE-LOADING DMU/CDROM DRIVES-DONE comes
into view.
NOTE: The message will show in the lower center of the page, on the computer, when all of
the systems drives are found.
(4) (Refer to Figure 4.) Use the computer mouse to select and click FULL LOAD found at the
bottom of the display.
(5) (Refer to Figure 5.) Scroll down to ¿nd the (DR-PN) GS-CF141BB-0214.

(6) Click on Directory File.
NOTE: The box around the directory ¿le will turn green when selected.
(7) (Refer to Figure 6.) Click on the SELECT FILE on the bottom of the screen.
(8) (Refer to Figure 7.) Make sure the con¿guration test is in progress.
(9) (RefertoFigure8.)Whenthecon¿guration test is complete, click on the START LOAD button
on the bottom of the screen.
(10) When the module is loaded, turn the L AVN, R AVN, ECIAS, and EXT PWR to the off position.
NOTE: The airplane's power supply must be turned off and turned back on to reset the
module. Wait 30 seconds before power is applied to the airplane.
(11) Turn the EXT PWR, L AVN, R AVN, and EICAS to the on position.
E. (Refer to Figure 9.) Open the APM tool on the laptop.
(1) Put the EB7031847-00104 EPIC Phase II Flight Software CD into the laptop CD drive.
(2) (Refer to Figure 9.) On the APM screen, use the select button with ... to select the CD, ¿nd
the ¿le APM_DEFN folder.
(3) Select Settings.Def and click on it to open.
(4) (Refer to Figure 9.) Open the APM tool window, select the default window.
NOTE: This step will take you to Data Source Box.
(5) (Refer to Figure 10.) Click on the Get APM list.
NOTE: (Refer to Figure 10) If an error message comes into view "could not get MLF ¿le",
select OK and click on the Get APM List button once more.
(6) (Refer to Figure 11.) Click on the Load from APM button.
(7) (Refer to Figure 12.) Use the NEXT PAGE/PREVIOUS PAGE to ¿nd2CharacterIATAAirline
ID.
(8) (Refer to Figure 12.) Type in GS, in the text box adjacent to 2 Character IATA Airline ID.
NOTE: GS must be typed in upper case.
(9) (Refer to Figure 12.) Type in GDC, in the text box adjacent to 3 Character ICAO Airline ID.
NOTE: GDC must be typed in upper case.
(10) Use the Next Page button to scroll to the last page.
(11) Select the Create and Load Binary ¿le.
(12) Select a temporary folder to create the ¿le in. Click to open.
(13) At the Enter DR part number, then click Okay.
(14) (Refer to Figure 13.) Click the OK button when the "File has been created and the load status
is", if the message shows the ¿les have been loaded successfully.
(15) Turn the EXT PWR, L AVN, R AVN, and EICAS to the Off position.
NOTE: Wait 30 seconds before power is turned back on.
(16) Turn the EXT PWR, L AVN, R AVN, and EICAS to the On position.
(17) Select the SCMS with the copilot's CCD drop down arrow adjacent to the map button.
(a) Use the page down button to ¿ndthelinewiththetwocharacterIATAAirlineID.

NOTE: The value must be GDC. If the values are GS and GDC, the APM options do not
need to be updated. Go to Step 5E18. If either values are incorrect go to Step
5E1.
(18) Disconnect the laptop and install the 50 Ohm terminator to the airplane LAN.
(19) Install the access panel on the control pedestal.
6. Do a Functional Test on the CMF Radio.
A. Make sure that all the systems that are connected to the CMF have been tested with the correct
functional tests.
B. On MCDU 1 push the NAV button until the NAV INDEX page 1/2 is displayed.
NOTE: While this test is in operation, messages will come into view on the scratchpad of the MCDU.
When this happens, push the CLR button to clear the messages. If the scratchpad message
VDR 3 ACTIVITY FAILURE or CHECK AMI STATUS comes into view at any time on the
scratchpad, it's because the connection between the EPIC and the 3rd communication radio
is disconnected. The connection must be repaired before the test can be done.
(1) Push NAV IDENT button.
(2) Push POS INIT.
(3) Push CLR as required to clear the scratchpad of any messages.
(4) Type in the local airport code.
(5) Push REF WPT.
(6) Push LOAD adjacent to REF WPT.
(7) Push NAV until NAV INDEX page 1/2 comes into view.
(8) PushDATALINKtogettheDATALINKINDEX.
(9) Push WINDS REQ.
(10) On the DATALINK WINDS REQ Page, below INCLUDE FPL WPTS select NO.
(11) Type in local airport code.
(12) Push Line Select Key that has the six dashes next to it.
(13) Push SEND REQST. This will send the request to the data center.
(14) Wait for a message in the scratchpad that says MESSAGE UPLINK. If the message does not
appear within 5 minutes, it is a failure. Press CLR to clear the scratchpad.
NOTE: Thiscantakeupto¿ve minutes to receive this message.
NOTE: If the message is not received, the COM Radio can be tuned to 136.85 to trouble
shoot. Make sure there are a series of beeps approximately every 10 seconds. If the
beeps are not audible, it possibly could be the radio, the antenna coaxial cable, or the
antenna. If the beeps are audible, the ground station is not receiving the message
because the airplane tail number is incorrect or the AMI database is not correct. Make
sure the correct tail number is displayed on the SCMS page on the MFD. The two digit
IATA Airline ID must be GS, and the three digit ICAO Airline ID must be GDC.
(15) Press DLK button on the MCDU.
(16) Make sure that the message is from GDC.
NOTE: IftheGDCmessageisinviewthenthetestissatisfactoryandgotoStep6C.
(17) If the MAIN MENU is in view, select MESSAGE LOG with Line Select Key 3L.

(18) Make sure that the messages are listed.
(19) Select the top message with the Line Select Key 1R.
(20) Make sure that the message is from the GDC.
NOTE: If the GDC message is in view then the test is satisfactory and go to Step 6C,
NOTE: If the message log is not shown, if the message log is empty, or there is a message,
but the message is empty, then the test is a failure.
C. Pull the COMM MGMT (OPT) breaker, in the RH Power J-Box.
(1) Make sure that the power is removed from the CMF radio.
NOTE: The message can be viewed on the MCDU scratchpad. It will show DATALINK NO
COMM and/or VDR 3 ACTIVITY FAILURE.
(2) Engage the breaker.
7. Do a functional test on MCDU 2.
A. Do Steps 6A thru 6C.
8. Insert the Airplane Flight Manual (AFM) Supplement 12 Original Issue or later into the Citation Sovereign
FAA Approved AFM.
NOTE: Look at the con¿guration codes listed in the applicable supplement and/or in Section 1 of the FAA
Approved Airplane Flight Manual to make sure all changed crew procedures or limitations are
complied with.
9. Make sure that the Flight Crew Operations Summary included with this service bulletin is given to the
crew to inform them of the operational changes resulting from incorporation of this service bulletin.
10. Record that this service bulletin has been completed.
A. Complete a Maintenance Transaction Report.
B. Put a copy of the completed Maintenance Transaction Report in the airplane logbook.
C. Send a copy of the completed Maintenance Transaction Report to: CESCOM, P.O. Box 7706,
Wichita, KS 67277.
