CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: DISCONNECT POWER TO THE.
UNIT AT THE SWITCH PANEL BEFORE
CLEANING OR SERVICING THE HOOD VEN-
TILATOR.VACUUM VENTILATOR TO CLEAN.
DO NOT IMMERSEVENTILATOR INWATER.
For maximum efficiency, clean filter and hood regularly.
Do not allow grease to accumulate on the hood or the
ventilator surface.
To Clean the Filters:Remove the filters as previously
described.They may be washed in the dishwasher or
washed in hot sudsy water; drain and dry before rein-
stalling.
ToClean PaintedHood Surfaces:Usemild dish wash-
ingdetergent forcleaning allhoodsurfaces.Formula 409®,
Fantastic®and Soft Scrub®may be used occasionally with
only light pressure, if needed,on hood surfaces but not
on graphics.Always rinse and dry with cloth for maxi-
mum luster.
To Clean Stainless Steel Hood Surfaces: Stainless
Steel is easy to keep clean. For general care, clean with
hot sudsy water,or household cleaner such as Fantastic
or Formula 409,rinse well and dry with a clean soft cloth
to avoid water marks.
For discolorations or deposits on areas that do not have
graphics,use a non-scratching household cleaner with a
little water and a soft cloth, or a stainless steel polishing
cleaner such as RevereWare® Metal Polish. Be sure to
rublightlyin thedirectionof thepolishing linesor "grain".
Avoid using to much pressure which may mar the sur-
face.Do not use RevereWare Metal Polish on the graph-

To remove fingerprints and give added shine, use spray
cleaners such as Stainless Steel Magic®and Shimmer®,
again rubbing in direction of the polish lines.
DO NOT USE STEELWOOL as small bits may ad-
here to the surface causing rust.

incontact withstainless steelforextended periods.Many
ofthese compoundscontainchemicals whichcouldprove
harmful.
