1 General information
This document contains important instructions for the safe operation of the product. Read and
follow the safety instructions and all other instructions. Keep the document for future refer‐
ence. Make sure that it is available to all those using the product. If you sell the product to
another user, be sure that they also receive this document.

2 Safety instructions
Mobile Drums are used to convert digital trigger signals from drum pads into various drum
sounds. Use the device only as described in this user manual. Any other use or use under other
operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or prop‐
erty damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.
This device may be used only by persons with sucient physical, sensorial, and intellectual
abilities and having corresponding knowledge and experience. Other persons may use this
device only if they are supervised or instructed by a person who is responsible for their safety.

DANGER!
Risk of injury and choking hazard for children!
Children can suocate on packaging material and small parts. Children can injure themselves when handling the device. Never allow
children to play with the packaging material and the device. Always store packaging material out of the reach of babies and small
children. Always dispose of packaging material properly when it is not in use. Never allow children to use the device without supervi‐
sion. Keep small parts away from children and make sure that the device does not shed any small parts (such knobs) that children
could play with.
WARNING!
Possible hearing damage due to high volumes on speakers or headphones!
With speakers or headphones connected, the device can produce volume levels that may cause temporary or permanent hearing
impairment. Over an extended period of time, even levels that seem to be uncritical can cause hearing damage. Do not operate the
device permanently at a high volume level. Decrease the volume level immediately if you experience ringing in your ears or hearing
impairment.

WARNING!
Incorrect handling of lithium batteries can result in injury!
In the event of a short circuit, overheating or mechanical damage, lithium batteries can cause severe injuries. Handle lithium bat‐
teries in a correct and professional manner. Store lithium batteries in a cool and dry place in their original packaging. Keep lithium
batteries away from sources of heat. Never open lithium batteries. Only charge rechargeable lithium batteries with a suitable
charger. Remove the lithium batteries before disposing of the device. Cover the poles of used lithium batteries with adhesive tape to
prevent short circuits. Electrolyte can escape from damaged lithium batteries. Put the damaged lithium battery in air-tight pack‐
aging. Collect the electrolyte with absorbent paper. Wear rubber gloves while doing so.
NOTICE!
Possible damage to lithium-ion batteries through incorrect storage!
Deep discharge can permanently damage lithium-ion batteries or cause them to lose some of their capacity. Charge the lithium-ion
batteries before longer breaks in use and before storage. Ensure that the device is switched o for storage. Store the device at room
temperature or cooler in an environment as dry as possible. Recharge the lithium-ion batteries about every three months if they are
stored for a longer period of time to avoid permanent damage due to too deep self-discharge. Fully charge the lithium-ion batteries
only shortly before use at room temperature.
NOTICE!
Damage to the device if operated in unsuitable ambient conditions!
The device can be damaged if it is operated in unsuitable ambient conditions. Only operate the device indoors within the ambient
conditions specied in the “Technical specications” chapter of this user manual. Avoid operating it in environments with direct sun‐
light, heavy dirt and strong vibrations. Avoid operating it in environments with strong temperature uctuations. If temperature uc‐
tuations cannot be avoided (for example after transport in low outside temperatures), do not switch on the device immediately.
Never subject the device to liquids or moisture. Never move the device to another location while it is in operation. In environments
with increased dirt levels (for example due to dust, smoke, nicotine or mist): Have the device cleaned by qualied specialists at reg‐
ular intervals to prevent damage due to overheating and other malfunctions.

5 Device functions
To switch on the device, press the main switch [O/ ► ]for several seconds.
The conguration menu now appears on the display. Use [SET] and turn the multifunction
knob to can adjust the settings for ‘BEAT’ , ‘TEMPO’ , ‘RHYTHM’ , ‘SOUND’ and ‘VOLUME’ . Use
[SET] to select the required function and then change it by turning the multifunction knob. Use
[O/ ► ]to start and stop the metronome.
Select the individual beats from 0…9. Beats 1…6 are supported by a human voice, (in English),
beats 7...9 by electronic sound.
Select the required tempo in a range from 30…250 bpm.
You can choose from the following rhythm styles:

You can select three dierent sounds, which can be adjusted with the rotary control. In addi‐
tion to a human voice, there are also two electronic sounds.
If the device is running on battery power, the charge state is displayed in the menu. If the
charge level is too low, it is advisable to charge the device via the mini USB port.
Strike the pad and slowly turn the multifunction knob clockwise until a comfortable volume is
reached. When headphones are connected, the volume can also be adjusted via the rotary
control on the rear side of the unit.
In the event of a malfunction, switch o the metronome with [O/ ► ] and restart the
device after 30 seconds.

6 Operating the device
The device oers a training mode.
Use [TRAIN] to view the desired menu. The number of beats in a dened time interval are cap‐
tured here. The time interval can be set between 10…60 using the multifunction knob and is
counted down to 0 during the exercise. Pressure-dependent sound eects are controlled in
real time and fall silent as soon as the pressure drops.
If you have made the appropriate setting in the main menu, you can use the [O/ ► ]button to
start the metronome function. Beats 1…6 are supported by a human voice, (in English), beats
7…9 by electronic sound.
Strike the exercise pad to determine the average speed of the strokes. The average value is
displayed on the display in beats per minute (BPM).
The value is incremented by repeated striking.

8 Plug and connection assignment
This chapter will help you select the right cables and plugs to connect your valuable equip‐
ment in such a way that a perfect sound experience is ensured.
Please note these advices, because especially in ‘Sound & Light’ caution is indicated: Even if a
plug ts into the socket, an incorrect connection may result in a destroyed power amp, a short
circuit or ‘just’ in poor transmission quality!
Unbalanced transmission is mainly used in semi-professional environment and in hi use.
Instrument cables with two conductors (one core plus shielding) are typical representatives of
the unbalanced transmission. One conductor is ground and shielding while the signal is trans‐
mitted through the core.
Unbalanced transmission is susceptible to electromagnetic interference, especially at low
levels, such as microphone signals and when using long cables.
In a professional environment, therefore, the balanced transmission is preferred, because this
enables an undisturbed transmission of signals over long distances. In addition to the conduc‐
tors ‘Ground’ and ‘Signal’, in a balanced transmission a second core is added. This also transfers
the signal, but phase-shifted by 180°.
Since the interference aects both cores equally, by subtracting the phase-shifted signals, the
interfering signal is completely neutralized. The result is a pure signal without any noise inter‐
ference.

9 Cleaning
Clean the accessible parts of the device regularly. The frequency of cleaning depends on the
operating environment: moist, smoky or particularly dirty environments may cause a higher
accumulation of dirt on the components of the device.
nUse a dry soft cloth for cleaning.
nRemove stubborn stains with a slightly damp cloth.
nNever use cleaners containing alcohol or thinner.
nNever put any vinyl items on the device, as vinyl can stick to the surface or lead to its disco‐
louration.

10 Protecting the environment
For the packaging, environmentally friendly materials have been chosen that can be supplied
to normal recycling.
Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are properly disposed of.
Do not just dispose of these materials with your normal household waste, but make sure that
they are collected for recycling. Please follow the notes and markings on the packaging.
Batteries must not be thrown away or incinerated; they must be disposed of in accordance
with local regulations for the disposal of hazardous waste. Use the existing collection points for
this.
Only dispose of lithium batteries when they are discharged. Remove replaceable lithium bat‐
teries from the device before disposal. Protect used lithium batteries against short circuits, for
example by covering the poles with adhesive tape. Permanently built-in lithium batteries must
be disposed of together with the device. Please inquire about an appropriate collection point.
