INTRODUCTION
The TITAN300WRECEIVERFLOODLIGHTispartofaunique lighting systemforhomeorbusiness use.During
darkness, the built-inreceiveractivatesthe FLOODLIGHT when asignalisreceived fromatransmitterinthe TRSrange.
During daylight, the built-inphotocell sensorsavesenergybydeactivating the FLOODLIGHT.
ThisFLOODLIGHT RECEIVERiscompatiblewiththe entirerange ofTRStransmitters.
Note:Please read thisentire manual before you startto install thesystem.
SAFETYPRECAUTIONS
l DO NOT install when it israining.
l Isolatethe powersupplybeforeinstallation.
l UKBuilding Regulationsrequiremainsinstallationsbe carried out byaqualified electrician.
l BS7671:2001 IEE Wiring Regulationsmust be complied withinall respects.
l HO5RNF round flexiblecableand driploopsmust be used toavoidwateringress damage tothe unit.
l Ensurethat the powersupplyisprotected bya16Acircuit breakerorsuitablefuse.
l Ensureminimumdistanceof0.5mawayfromlighted objects.
l The unit must be installed vertically(FIGURE1), NOT horizontally(FIGURE2).
l DO NOT tilt the floodlight forwardmorethan 45 degreesfromthe vertical(FIGURE3).

CHOOSINGAMOUNTINGLOCATION
l Forthe best results, mount the Floodlight ontonormalbrickwork, 1.8~2.4mabovethe ground.
l Installation undereavesisacceptablebut radiated and convected heat fromthe fitting must be taken intoaccount.
l Avoidlarge metalstructuresthesemayblock ordistort signalsfromthe TRStransmitters.

l WARNING isolatethe powersupplybeforeinstallation.
It isadvisabletoinstall asinglepolewall switch(FIGURE4). Thiswill alloweasycontrolofthe floodlight.
1)Undo the fourfixing screwsfromthe wiring boxcoverand removethe cover(FIGURE5).
2)Unscrewone ofthe cableglandsand using asuitabletoolpierceaholeon the cablegrommet. Routethe HO5RNF
supplycablethrough the cablegland and grommet (FIGURE6).
3)Stripapproximately6mm ofinsulation fromeachofthe 3coresofthe supplycable, refertoFIGURE7.
Connect the BROWNwire(Livewire)tothe terminalmarked “L”.
Connect the BLUEwire(Neutralwire)tothe terminalmarked “N”.
Connect the YELLOW/GREEN(Earthwire)tothe terminalblock marked ““.
Anadditionallighting load (maximum1000Wincandescent)maybe connected tothe floodlight using HO5RNF cable:
Connect the BROWNwire(Livewire)ofthe additionallighting load tothe terminalmarked “LS”.
Connect the BLUEwire(Neutralwire)ofthe additionallighting load tothe terminalmarked “N1”.
Usethe second cablegland forthe additionallighting load supplycable.

4)Removethe mounting bracket fromthe floodlight. Drill the wall and screwthe bracket ontothe wall using suitablewall
plugsand screws(FIGURE8).
5)Re-attachthe floodlighttothe bracketand securethe supplycable(and
additionallighting load supplycableifapplicable)tothe wall using suitable
clips.Ensurethatthe cableisnottouching the bodyof the floodlight, and that
thereissufficientslack inthe cabletoallowthe floodlighttobe tilted and
adjusted asrequired (FIGURE9).NB:Tiltand adjustthe floodlightby
grasping the metalbodyofthe floodlight, not the wiring box.

LAMP INSTALLATION
CAUTION:DO alwayshandlehalogen lampswithasoft clean cloth.
DO NOT touchthe lampwithbarehandsasthiswill dramaticallyshorten the lifeofthe lamp.
DO NOT touchthe floodlight whileit isinuseorstill hot. Allowit tocoolbeforetouching it.
DO NOT useahalogen lamprated higherthan 300 watts.
l WARNING isolatethe powersupplybeforeinstallation.
1)Useaflat blade screwdrivertoopen the front coverclipon the floodlight (FIGURE10).
2)Pull downthe front surround whichismounted on hingesand will swing open (FIGURE11).
3)Install the lampbyinserting one end intothe lampholderand depressing until enough clearanceisgained toseat the
otherend ofthe lampintothe lampholder. Rotatethe halogen lamptoensureproperseating (FIGURE12).
4)Refit the front surround and securewiththe front coverclip(FIGURE13).

l Turnthe LUXcontrolon the bottomofthe floodlight
wiring boxfullyanticlockwisetothe T position
(FIGURE14).
l Reinstatethe powersupplytothe floodlight and switchthe floodlighton fromthe wall
switchifinstalled. The led indicatoron the bottomofthe floodlight wiring box
(FIGURE15)will flashon and off continuouslytoindicatethat no codesareinstalled
inthe floodlightsmemory. The floodlight can memorisethe codesforup totwelve
separateTRStransmitters.
Toenablethe receivertomemoriseTRStransmittercodesproceed asfollows:FIGURE15
1)Activatethe floodlight receiverlearning mode bypushing and holding inthe Learning Keybutton,located on the side of
the receiverfloodlightwiring box,formorethan three seconds(FIGURE15).The led on the receiverfloodlightwill
illuminatewhilstyou holdinthe Learning Keybutton and then extinguish,releasethe Learning Keybutton.The led will
flashbrieflytoindicatethe receiverisinlearning mode. The receiverwill remaininlearning mode forapproximatelythirty
secondsoruntil acode isreceived and learnt.
2)Oncethe receiverisinlearning mode activatethe learning mode forthe TRStransmitteryou wishthe receivertolearn
from.Refertothe instructionsforeachtype oftransmitterinordertodo this.During learning mode the TRStransmitter
shouldbe no less than 30cmand no morethan the maximumrange of70mfromthe receiver.
3)The led on the receiverwill stop flashing,illuminateforapproximatelythree secondsand then go off.Thisindicatesthat
the floodlight receiverhaslearnt the code.
4)Confirmthatthe floodlightreceiverhascorrectlylearntthe code byactivating the relevanttransmittertotriggerthe
floodlighton.Whereyou wishtotestmultipletriggersfromTRStransmittersthe ManualOff function on the floodlight
receivermaybe useful.Oncethe floodlightreceiverhasbeen triggered on tooperatethe ManualOff function simply
press and releasethe Learning Keybutton on the receiverfloodlight. Thiswill switchoff the receiverfloodlightand makeit
readytoreceivethe next triggersignal.
NB:a)Ifthe floodlightreceiveristriggered on byaTRStransmitterthatonlyhasan on function forexamplethe
TITANMagneticContactTransmitterorthe TITANBell PushTransmitterthe floodlightreceiverwill switchon,
timeoutand switchoff afterapproximately15 minutes.Unless all commandsareoverridden bythe floodlight
receiverLuxcontrol.
b)Ifthe floodlightreceiveristriggered on byaTRStransmitterthathasan on /off function forexamplethe TITAN
RemoteControlTransmitterorthe TITANTransmitterSwitchthe floodlightreceiverwill remainon until asignalis
received fromthe activating transmittertoturnoff oruntil the ManualOff function isactivated on the floodlight
receiver. The Luxcontrolsetting doesnot override the on command fromtransmitterswiththe on / off function.
c) Ifthe floodlightreceiveristriggered on byaTRStransmitterthathasan on /timer/off function forexamplethe
TITANPIRTransmitterFloodlightorthe TITANPIRTransmitterthe floodlightreceiverwill remainon until an off
signalisreceived fromthe activating transmittertoturnoff.If no off signalisreceived the floodlightreceiverwill
timeoutand switchoff afterapproximately15 minutesorcan be turned off bythe ManualOff function on the
floodlight receiver. Unless all commandsareoverridden bythe floodlight receiverLuxcontrol.
· Ifthe floodlight receiverhasfailed tolearnthe code repeat steps1), 2), 3)and 4)above.
Repeatsteps1),2),3)and 4)aboveforeachtransmitteryou wishthe receivertolearnfrom.Up tothe maximumof
twelveseparatetransmitters.
· Ifyou makean errorduring the code learning sequence, oryou wishtoclearthe memory ofthe receiverfloodlightfor
anotherreason proceed asfollows:
5) Activatethe floodlight receiverlearning mode bypushing and holding inthe Learning Keybutton,located on the side of
the receiverfloodlight wiring box, formorethan three seconds(FIGURE15). The led on the receiverfloodlight will
illuminatewhilst you holdinthe Learning Keybutton and then extinguish, releasethe Learning Keybutton. The led will
flashbrieflytoindicatethe receiverisinlearning mode.
6)Immediatelypushand holdinthe Learning Keybutton againformorethan fiveseconds. The led on the receiver
floodlight will illuminatewhilst you holdinthe Learning Keybutton and then extinguish, releasethe Learning Keybutton.
The led on the receiverfloodlight will flashon and off continuouslytoindicatethat the memory hasbeen cleared and no
codesareinstalled inthe floodlightsmemory.
7)Oncethe receiverfloodlight isfunctioning asrequired go tothe LUXADJUSTMENT section tocompletethe
installation.

LUXADJUSTMENT
The LUXadjustment located on the bottomofthe receiverfloodlight wiring boxdeterminesatwhatlightlevelthe receiver
floodlight will start operating.
Provisionallyturnthe LUXcontrolfullyclockwisetothe moon symbol(dusk) position (FIGURE14).Atthisprovisional
setting the floodlightremainsinactiveduring daylight. Atduskthe floodlightwill becomeactive.If thisprovisionalsetting
provestobe unsuitablethe LUXcontrolshouldbe adjusted.Simplysetthe LUXcontroltothe position you desirethe
floodlight tobecomeactiveasdaylight declines.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Floodlight doesnot turnon:
l Check ifthe wall switchisturned on.
l Confirmthat you havemade the correct wiring
connections.
l Makesurethat the lamphasnot burned out.
l Ensuretransmitterisworking and withinrange.
l Carry out code learning sequenceagain.
