The PIRDetectorisdesigned todetectmovement inaprotected area bydetecting
moving heatsources,forexample,when aperson moveswithinoracross the
devicesfieldof vision. When movementisdetected aradiosignal will be emitted to
the Receiver(s).
The recommendedpositionformounting the PIRDetectorisapproximately1.8to
2mfromthe floor.Atthisheight,the detectorwill detectmovementup to8-12m
depending on adjustment. (FIGURE1a).Beforeselecting aposition foraPIR
Detectorthe following pointsshouldbe noted:
FIGURE1a FIGURE1b
1.Do not position the detectorfacing direct sunlight.
2.Do notposition the detectordirectlyaboveorfacing anysourceofheat, eg:fires,
radiators, boileretc.
3.Wherepossible,mountthedetectorsothatthe logicalpathof an intruderwould
cutacross the fan patternratherthan directlytowardsthe detector.(FIGURE1b)
4.The PIRDetectorcan be used withallTRSreceivers providing theyareall
coded withthe samecode.
LOADING THEBATTERY
1.Using aPhillipsscrewdriverstodetachthe rearcover. (FIGURE2a)
2.Insert2AAA-size1.5Vbatteriestothebatterycompartment,ensuring correct
polarity. (FIGURE2b)
3.Refitthe rearcover.(FIGURE2c) when anysettingsarecompleted and the unit
hasbeen fixed inplace.

2.Emitting the IDcode
Step 1: Afterinserting the batteriestothe PIRDetector,itwillhavea60-second
warmup period beforeemitting the IDcode.
Step 2:Setthe Receivertocode learning mode.(refertoReceiver’sinstruction
manual).
Step 3: Pressing the tamperswitchformorethan 3secondswill emit the ID
code tothe Receiver.
Step 4:Ifthe Receiverrespondswithalong bleep, the code learning is
successful. Ifnot, pleaserepeat Step 2.
