GENERAL DESCRIPTION
T e HLS46UL2-8 is a 460 mm (18 in.) low-frequency
loudspeaker designed for professional applications in
ig level sound reinforcement environments w ere ig
efficiency, super low frequency range, and fait ful repro-
duction are required, suc as studios, t eaters, concert
alls, auditoriums, discos, and in live sound reinforce-
ment applications. T e HLS46UL2-8 offers exceptionally
ig power andling capacity, ultra linearity in super low
frequency range, and a uniform frequency response
from 20 Hz to 3,000 Hz. A crossover frequency of 1,000
Hz or lower is recommended to obtain smoot est
overall system response. T e loudspeaker employs a
low-mass 100 mm (4 in.) diameter voice coil of edg-
ewound copper ribbon on an aluminum coil form, w ic
operates in a flux density of 13,600 gauss. T e voice coi
is driven by powerful double ferrite magnets, w ic is
supported by a rugged diecast aluminum frame. T e
cone suspension is made of exceptionally ig compli-
ance clot surround, damped.
