Safety Instructions & Precautions
Do not install this chassis in high humidity areas, or expose it to water or moisture. No
objects filled with liquid should be placed on the chassis.
Disconnect the unit from the wall outlet prior to cleaning. Use a light, damp cloth (no
solvents) to dust or clean it.
Do not block or cover slots and openings in the chassis. These are provided for
ventilation and protection from overheating. Never place the chassis near or over a
radiator or heat source. Do not place the chassis in an enclosure such as a cabinet
without proper ventilation.
Make sure the environment where you mount the chassis has adequate ventilation and
or Air Conditioning. High ambient temperatures above 88°F can cause premature
failure.
We strongly recommend using the enclosed ground wire connecting to the ground on
the P/S
Never insert objects of any kind into the Unit through openings, as the objects may
touch dangerous voltage points or short out parts. This also could cause fire or
electrical shock.
It is important to ensure adequate ventilation around this chassis, make sure one rack
space (1-3/4”) is empty below and above this chassis

1. The TMMRC-12 chassis is an industry standard 2RU (3-1/2”) x 19” wide chassis
2. The Label is on the top side of the chassis and should be mounted this way. Mounting upside down
will create difficulties in installing modules and the power supply
3. When mounting in a rack use 4 mounting screws to secure the chassis, using fewer screws could
cause the chassis to become out of alignment or fall from the rack.
4. When inserting the modules into the chassis make sure the card edges align with the grooves in the
chassis
5. This Chassis is designed so the Power Supply (TMMPS) is installed on the right hand side of the
chassis. Leaving space for 12 modules to the left of it.
