Blade Protection Guard (Fig. 2)
Changing the Disk (Fig. 4)
• Always use the side handle during operation
of the grinder to ensure the safest and easiest
operation possible.
• The side handle can be easily screwed into
either side of the grinder for left or right
handed operation as shown in Fig. 1.
• Place the guard onto the xing of the grinder
as shown in Fig. 2. Rotate the guard to the
desired position. The cover must be adjusted
so that it protects the user if the disc should
break during use in case parts of it are thrown
out.
• Fix the inner ange to the spindle, place the
disk on top of the inner ange, then put the
outer ange on the disk, all upon the spindle.
• Fix the screw on the protection guard until it
is tight and the guard cannot move.
WARNING
Before replacing, removing, or
installing the disks, ensure the grinder
switch is in the OFF position, and the

Best Usage Practices
• Press the Spindle Lock button on the gear
box, and unscrew the ange with the Flange
Spanner (Included) until the ange is tightly
fastened (Fig. 5).
• To use the grinder, turn the switch to the ON
position.
• Let the tool run for 30 seconds before
applying the disk to your work piece, this is
to ensure there is no abnormal vibrations,
wobbling, or sounds. This may indicate poor
installation or a poorly balanced wheel.
• Place the grinding disk against the work
piece. The best eect is obtained when the
grinding wheel is at an angle of 15–30° to the
work piece (Fig. 7).
• Move the angle grinder with gentle move-
ments. Give the angle grinder time to work. It
will rarely be necessary to press the grinding
wheel against the piece being machined. The
weight of the tool should be all the pressure
that is necessary.
WARNING
The Spindle Lock button is only to be
used to install, change, or remove
grinding discs. DO NOT use it as a brake
button while the disk is rotating. This
may damage your disk and tool, and
create a hazardous environment.
• When you have nished using the grinder,
turn the switch to the OFF position.
