lGPS/Compassmoduleinstallation
Duringinstallation,theTopXGunmarkisprintedwithitssidefacingup.Thearrow
oftheroundcasingisalignedwiththedirectionoftheFCUarrow.Itisalignedwith
thedirectionoftheaircraftheadandishorizontallymountedontheGPS/Compass
modulebracket.
ItisrecommendedtousetheGPS/Compassmoduleholderthatcomeswiththe
package.Ifusinganotherstand,makesureitisnotmagnetic.
1,M2flightcontrollersetincludestwoGPS/compassmodule.When
installing,connecttwoGPS/CompassmodulestothetwoCAN1portsof
theFCU.
2.Thismodulehasabuilt-inmagneticcompass.Formagnetically
sensitivedevices,becarefultokeepawayfrommotors,ESCs,power
batteries,andpowercordsduringinstallationanduse.

InstalltheLIUmoduleinaneasy-to-observeposition,suchastherearoftheaircraft,
withoutobstructingtheUSBport.Andusetheattached3Mgluetoconnectittoany
CANexpansionportonthePMU.

4.Switch5~8channelswitches.Checkwhetherthestoppositioncorrespondstothe
controlmodeonebyoneandwhetherthereturnflightmapisnormal.
IfthereceiverisnotanSBusreceiver,theremotecontrollermustbesetto
runawayprotection.Whenthesettingissuccessful,iftheremotecontrolleris
turnedoff,1~4channelsmaintaintheneutralpointposition.5channelsjump
tothered"runaway"area,noneedtosetotherchannels.Pleaserefertothe

Whetheritautomaticallyreturntobaseorlandinplace,youcould
terminatelow-pressureprotectionatanytimebytoggling5-channelmode
switchbackandforth.(Forthesecurityreasons,itisstronglyrecommended
thattheappropriatelowvoltagevalueissettoensuretheenoughbatteries
forthereturnoftheaircraft.Ifthevoltageistoolowandtheaircraftisshort
ofpower,itwillcausetheseriousconsequencessuchasacrash.

Ifthepowerandflightcontrollerarepoweredseparately,youneedtocut
offthepowerfirstbeforeapplyingthepowertotheelectricspeed
controllercalibrationagain,thendisconnecttheflightcontrolpowerand
finallyconnectthepowerafterpoweringtheflightcontrolleron.
Step4.Afterthepoweristurnedonabout0.5second,youwillhear“beap-beap”
frommotortwotimesandthenpullthethrottletothelowestlevelin2
seconds.Atthistime,thestateindicatorredlightsandbluelightsare
flickeringalternatelyandthengetintonormalindication.

Compasscalibration
Operatingstepsofcompasscalibrationasfollowing:
Step1.Pushthrottletothelowestlevel
Step2.Switch5-channelbuttonbackandforthbetweenthelowestlevelandhighest
levelabout6-10timesuntiltheredlightandbluelightofthestateindicatorarein
longbrightness.
Step3.Forwardtheheadoftheflightandlayitonthehorizontalposition,then
slowlyrotateclockwiseatleastonefullturnuntilthegreenlightofthestate
indicatorsisonlongbrightness.

Step2.Performtheoutereightcharacterslockontheremotecontrollerandholdfor
morethan10secondsuntilthestatusindicatorstartsflashingalternatelywith
thebluegreenlight
Step3.Releasetheremotecontrollever.Afterabout10seconds,thestatusindicator
changestoabluelightsingleflicker,andafterabout15seconds,thestatusindicator
lightbecomesnormal.
