RemovingtheFuelTank
NoPartsRequired
Procedure
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,shutofftheengine,
chockthewheels,disconnectthebattery,andremove
thekeyfromtheignitionswitch.
2.Allowtheenginetocool,thendrainthefueltank.
Note:Disposeoffuelproperly.Recycleaccording
tolocalcodes.
3.Restarttheengineandrunituntilitstops.
4.Choketheengine.Startandruntheengineuntilitwill
notstart.
5.Disconnectthefueltankhosesfromthemachineand
discardthem(Figure1).
Note:Retainthehoseclamps.
6.Removethefastenersandstrapssecuringthefueltank
tothemachineanddiscardthemalongwiththetank
(Figure1).
7.Disconnecttheremaininghosesfromthecarbon
canister(Figure1).
Note:Retainthehoseclamps.
8.Removethebatterycoverandbattery(Figure1);refer
toyourOperator’sManual.
9.Removethecarboncanisteranddiscardit(Figure1).
