TECHNOLOGY
& BENEFITS
VIDEO
Multi-Drive Recorder - This DVD recorder is designed to provide the
greatest flexibility in recording and playback by supporting DVD-RAM,
DVD-R, and DVD-RW recordable disc formats. The right format for every
application:
· DVD-RAM is the most flexible of the recordable disc formats
when it comes to recording, editing and playback. Even more,
re-record content approximately 100,000 times!
· DVD-R is a write-once format perfect for sharing treasured video
moments with virtually anyone who has a DVD-Video player.
· DVD-RW* can rewrite content up to 1000 times and playback in a
wide variety of computer drives and DVD-Video players
High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI™) - HDMI™ (High-
Definition Multimedia Interface) is the first industry-supported, uncom-
pressed, all-digital audio/video connection. HDMI™ provides the best
interface between a DVD player and compatible products, such as a
digital television (DTV). When matched with a compatible TV, this single
interconnecting cable combines: Multi-channel audio, uncompressed
digital video, intercommunication between devices and simple control
Protocols. This single cable connection ensures that all signals remain in
their pure digital form and secure by use of High Definition Copy
Protection (HDCP) regardless of signal output resolution.
Video Upconversion - 720p/1080i - HDMI™ can support uncompressed
digital video up to HDTV level resolution. Thus, the player makes use of
this conduit by up-converting the standard DVD picture resolution to
nearly HDTV-quality with output resolutions of 720p or 1080i. This makes
a DVD player with an HDMI™ connection the perfect match for today's
digital televisions. As this conversion is performed in the player, the signal
remains free from excessive digital-to-analog conversion artifacts. Also
supports VCR playback.
AUDIO
WMA & MP3 Playback - Recordable Compact Discs (CD-R & CD-RW)
with music stored in either the Windows Media™ Audio or MP3 file for-
mats can be enjoyed.
CONVENIENCE
Bi-Direction Dubbing - A convenient way to transfer content from a VHS
tape to DVD or DVD content to VHS. Dubbing from VHS to DVD provides
the capability of transferring the entire tape from the unit’s front panel or
remote control.
Chase Play - Chase Play allows the user to begin watching a recording
that is already in progress from the beginning while it continues to record
to the end.
Front Panel A/V & S-Video Inputs - There are composite audio & video
inputs, as well as S-Video input on the front panel of the unit for easy
camcorder dubbing.
Front Panel DV Input allows direct connection via IEEE1394 connector
for easy transfer of data for equipped devices, such as a camcorders.
