The same switch is used for

both power and vo lume control.
Therefore , the power is turned
on by turning the switch with
the thumb In the directior ; of
the arrow. A light click is both
felt and audible at this tim e.
Ther e are figures on the dial ,
and the Jarger the figure the
louder the sound. Choose the
figure best s uited to your h ea r-
ing.

2. For Telephoning
Th e receiv er can be placed near
the mil<e (ce nter of the triangle )
but external noise s will also be
heard . Therefor e, turn th e
switch to the TEL side. Th en
hold the teleph one receiver up-
side
down and place the he aring
aid close to the receiver and
speak into the speaker. Other-
wise, everything is the sa me as
when using an ordina ry micro-
phone . Conver sat ion c an also
be readily carried on by placing
the hearing aid behind the tele -
phone .

4. Changing Batteries
Push the b utt on on th e t op back side oi th e hear i ng aid. Th e
metal back co,'er \\'jll comeoff. P ull tile rib bo n and the dry

battery comes ou t eas ily. B efo re inserting a n ew dry battery,
polish both ends. Make sur e which end is positive and which
end is the n ega tiv e. Th en insert th e dr y bat tery by placi ng th e
ribbon
unde r it an d m ak i ng sure that it is secure ly connected.
Wh en closing the meta l cover in se rt the in strudi ng part on the
lo wer end of the cover i nt o the slot on the h earing aid and pus h
the cover shut. It will lock
with a c li ck.
