The 3-line Digital Comb Filter with Vertical Contour
Correction analyzes scanning lines to separate
the Luminance (black and white) signal from the
Chrominance (color) signal, without limiting bandwidth as
Trap and Notch Filters do. This allows the TV to process
the entire video signal, without a reduction in resolution.
The benefit is that a sharp clean picture quality is
produced from RF and composite video signals.
In processing, Analog Comb Filters often produce dot
crawl along the edges in the picture. A Digital Comb
Filter converts the analog signal into a digital signal for
more accurate processing, virtually eliminating dot crawl
or cross-color interference--and producing a superior
picture. While digital comb filters improve the vertical
edges of images, Vertical Contour Correction works with
the comb filters to improve the horizontal edges for
complete image enhancement.
Advanced Velocity Scan Modulation improves contrast
and overall picture sharpness by varying the speed of
the electron beam scanning the CRT to improve dark to
light transitions.
Black Level Expander increases the black threshold
level, so blacks are pure black, not dark gray. This
significantly improves overall picture contrast to make the
picture appear sharper and more three-dimensional.
AUDIO
StableSound®maintains television volume within a pre-
set range regardless of the source signal. StableSound®
eliminates the annoying volume changes of extremely
loud commercial messages or drastic volume fluctua-
tions experienced while changing channels.
Double Baffle Speaker Design are side mounted, front
firing speakers designed to deliver the most stereo
sound reproduction available from a television's internal
speaker system. No additional speakers are required.
