1. Remove the parts from the packaging.
2. Prior to initial use, run the Coffee Maker without coffee, filling it with water to
the maximum mark.
3. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.
4. Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.
1. Remove the coffee pot from the warming plate and fill two thirds full with cold
water.
2. Open the water tank lid and pour the water in, being careful not to spill it.
3. When complete, place the coffee pot back onto the warming plate and close
the water tank lid.
4. Pull out the filter assembly by lifting the top cover.
5. Add the ground coffee to the mesh basket in the filter assembly.
6. Close the filter assembly ensuring that it has closed completely.
7. Plug the appliance in at the wall socket and switch it on.
8. Switch the appliance on at the ON /OFF switch. The indicator switch will
illuminate to show the coffee maker is ON.
Note: The brewing process can be interrupted by pressing the switch again at
any time. The indicator light will go off to show the coffee maker is OFF.
9. When the appliance reaches the correct temperature, the water will drip
through the filter and the ground coffee.
10. The brewing process takes approximately 3-7 minutes, depending on the
amount of cups required.
11. The coffee will collect in the coffee pot and the keep warm function will
automatically activate.
Keep Warm:
When the brewing process is complete, the appliance will automatically switch
to keep-warm mode, which will continue to keep your coffee warm for up to 40
minutes. Once this time has elapsed, the appliance will automatically cut itself off.
Refilling:
Switch the Coffee Maker off and allow it to cool for 3 minutes before refilling.
Washable Filter:
Your Coffee Maker is fitted with a filter. The filter helps to prevent limescale from
getting into your drink.
The filter should be cleaned regularly, in particular if there are noticeable deposits
left on it.
To clean the filter, remove it from the Coffee Maker and rinse it under the tap. Allow
the filter to dry thoroughly before fitting it back into the Coffee Maker.

Use the handle to lift the filter out of the Coffee Maker.

Questions Answers
What kind of coffee
should I use?
You can buy pre-ground coffee for filter machines from supermar-
kets, grind your own coffee beans, or buy beans from your favourite
coffee shop and ask for them to be ground to filter consistency.
How much coffee
should I put in?
We recommended one level measuring spoon (1 tbsp.) for every
cup.
How much coffee
can I make at one
time?
The Coffee Maker can make up to 10 cups of coffee at a time.
To avoid any possible overflow, do not add more than 15 level
measuring spoons of coffee to the Coffee Maker at any one point.
The coffee takes a
long time to run
through and over-
flows into the filter
compartment.
You may be using too much ground coffee. See above for
recommendations.
The ground coffee may be too fine.
Coffee is taking
longer than usual to
brew.
The Coffee Maker may need to be descaled. Refer to the Descaling
section below for instructions on how to correctly descale the unit.
The coffee has an
acidic taste.
The Coffee Maker may have not been suciently rinsed or cleaned
after descaling. Refer to the Descaling section below for instructions
on how to correctly descale the unit.
How do you clean
the filter?
The filter can be washed in warm water. Ensure the filter is fully dry
prior to being placed back into the appliance.
Can I put the carafe
in the microwave?
No, never put the carafe in the microwave, dishwasher or on a
hotplate.

Cleaning The Outside And Base Unit:
• Do not immerse the base unit of the appliance in water and ensure no water
enters the appliance.
• Clean the base unit by wiping it with a damp cloth. A little detergent can be
added if needed.
• Do not use scouring pads, steel wool, any form of strong solvents or abrasive
cleaning agents to clean the appliance, as they may damage the outer
surfaces.
• Clean all accessories in warm soapy water. Do not use any scouring pads,
steel wool, any strong solvents or abrasive cleaning agents while cleaning the
accessories.
• The carafe and lid are dishwasher-safer, as long as the cycle temperature is
not higher than 65°C. Please read your dishwasher instructions for further
information of cycles.
Descaling:
Important: Failure to descale your coffee maker may invalidate your guarantee.
If you do not descale your coffee maker regularly, the build-up of limescale may
result in the following:
• The Coffee Maker taking longer to boil.
• Damage to the heating element.
To minimise scale build-up:
• Empty the Coffee Maker after each use.
• Do not allow coffee to stand in the Coffee Maker overnight.
• Use filtered water instead of tap water.
How to descale:
• Do not use coffee maker descaler unless it specifically states it is suitable for
Coffee Makers.
• Follow the instruction on the bottle or sachet.
• To clean the Coffee Maker thoroughly of any decalcification residue, operate it
3 times using clean water before making coffee.
Note: The permanent filter should be removed before descaling.
IMPORTANT!
• After cleaning, allow the appliance to dry fully before using it again.
• Do not use the appliance if damp
• Ensure the appliance is completely clean and dry before storing
To store your appliance:
1. Unplug the power cord from the power outlet and clean the unit as instructed
above.
2. Allow the appliance to dry fully.
3. Store on a flat, dry level surface out of reach of children.

9 - Wiring Safety for UK Use Only
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the
coloured markings identifying the terminals
in your plug, please proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are labelled in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Green/Yellow [EARTH]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire labelled blue is the neutral and
must be connected to the terminal marked
[N].
The wire labelled brown is the live wire and
must be connected to the terminal marked
[L].
The wire labelled green/yellow must be
connected to the terminal marked with the
letter [E].
On no account must either the brown or
the blue wire be connected to the [EARTH]
terminal.
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be tted with a fuse of the
same rating already tted and conforming to
BS 1362 and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualied electrician who
will be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug.
If your appliance is supplied with a non-
rewireable plug tted to the mains lead and
should the fuse need replacing, you must
use an ASTA approved one (conforming to
BS 1362 of the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician
who will be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug - disconnect
it from the mains - then cut it off of the mains
lead and immediately dispose of it in a safe
manner. Never attempt to reuse the plug
or insert it into a socket outlet as there is a
danger of an electric shock.
