Child seats: please read page 18 of User Guide. Switching off airbag: find the switch that is revealed when
you open the front passenger door – just around the edge from the air vent. Then press the release button on
the side of key, pull out manual key and use it to turn this switch. The airbag switch status is shown just to the
right of the radio.
Heating system: Press AUTO, then use the dial on the right to regulate to the desired temperature. If you
want a different temperature for driver & passenger seats, press DUAL and then use left hand dial for
passenger seat temperature. Use the arrow buttons to increase or decrease the power of the fans. (p. 102)
There is an air intake vent at the left of the rear seat, near the floor. Please do not cover this up, as that would
cause the hybrid battery to overheat. (p. 34)
To use cruise control, press the end of the short lever on the right of the steering wheel. When you reach
desired speed, pull lever down (SET). It will cancel whenever you brake or push lever up (CANCEL). (p. 89)
There are 3 buttons under the POWER button to switch the following features on or off:
•pre-crash warning: sensors will trigger a warning sound and then apply the brakes if they detect a
dangerous situation (p.77)
•automatic headlight dipping: sensors will dip the headlights if they detect a car in front (p. 84)
•lane departure alert: sensors will trigger a buzzer if you cross white lines at over 32 mph (p. 84)
To adjust the steering wheel: pull the lever under the steering wheel down, move it vertically or horizontally
to a comfortable position, then pull the lever back up. (p. 62)
When being towed: the front wheels must be raised off the ground, as they are connected to the electric
motor. (p. 122) If stuck in mud, disable Traction Control by pressing the button below the handbrake. (p. 90)
