Erfahrung, unsere Liebe zu kleinsten Details und unse-
ren Fokus auf das Schaffen ganz neuer Lösungsansätze
eingesetzt. Entstanden ist ein Kopfhörer, der die Grenzen
zwischen Kategorien endgültig überwindet. Als hervorra-
gend abgestimmter, geschlossener audiophiler Kopfhörer
fügt er sich in jede ambitionierte Kopfhöreranlage ein, ohne
zusätzliche Stromzufuhr für einen hervorragenden Klang
zu benötigen. Durch seine passive Dämpfung, aktive Ge-
räuschunterdrückung sowie vortrefiche Elektronikkompo-
nenten mit hochwertigen Bluetoothcodecs wird der früher
gigantische Qualitätssprung, von einer kabelgebundenen zu

Solitaire T you are holding in your hands is more than just
a T+A product. It embodies all the values which guide us
every day, and which help to move the audio world along a
little way:
We are scientists with a love of music. And that is why the
Solitaire T was always required to make our perception of
musical quality accessible to the user - outside a stationary
system as well as inside. In aiming for this goal we devoted
all our science-based experience, our love for the smallest
detail and our ability to create entirely new approaches to
problems.This has resulted in headphones which nally
bridge the gulf between two categories: in their guise as
beautifully tailored closed audiophile headphones they t
effortlessly into any elevated headphone system, and deliver
outstanding sound quality without requiring an additional
electronic signal processing. Previous generations of wireless
phones could not begin to match the quality of wired types,
but the Solitaire T, with its passive damping, active noise
suppression and superb electronic components with high-
quality Bluetooth codecs, offers virtually the same quality
with a wireless connection.
The Solitaire T packs all these features in a timelessly ele-
gant external design which combines innovative hinged link
mechanisms, high-quality materials and intuitive operation
with a distinctive, self-assured but unobtrusive look.

Wir glauben daran, Musik so unverfälscht wie möglich
wiederzugeben. Dazu eliminieren wir bereits in der Ent-
wicklungsphase auch noch so kleine Störfaktoren. Eine
solche Störung wäre beispielsweise die Verwendung einer
unbedämpften Membran. Kleinste Reektionen der Spule
potenzieren sich, bis sie den Klang entscheidend negativ
beeinussen. Eine gezielt gesetzte Dämpfung am Wand-
lerrand federt auftretende Reektionen der Spule ab und
verhindert so deren Einuss auf den Frequenzgang. An die
Klang / Sound Quality
Dämpfung schließt sich eine zeitgleich leichte und steife
Zellulosemembran an, die hohe Dynamik und Schnelligkeit
verbindet, ohne jedoch frühzeitig in Eigenmoden aufzu-
brechen. Ein optimiertes Tiefbasssystem verschafft dem
Solitaire T eine komplett neuartige Tieftonabstimmung. Als
Ergebnis dieser Entwicklungsarbeit lässt der Solitaire T so-
wohl im aktiven als auch im passiven Modus jeden Impuls,
jeden Luftzug, jede Nuance nicht nur hör- sondern wirklich
fühlbar werden.

We are of the rm belief that music should be reproduced
as faithfully as possible. With this in mind we work hard
at eliminating the smallest of potential problems right at
the start of development. One example would be the use
of an undampened diaphragm.The smallest reections
of the coil have the potential to exert a crucially adverse
effect on sound quality. At the edge of the transducer
we position carefully designed damping which cuts out
coil reections before they develop, thereby preventing
their inuence on the frequency response. The damping
is connected to a cellulose diaphragm which is both light
and stiff, combining great dynamics and agility without
breaking up prematurely into eigenmodes. A carefully
optimised low bass system endows the Solitaire T with
a completely new form of bass matching.The result of
this development work is that the Solitaire T is capable of
making every signal, every breath, every nuance tangible
as well as audible, both in active and passive modes.

Als erstes vollständig portables Produkt von T+A ist der
Solitaire T der auffälligste Repräsentant unserer Design-
sprache der zeitlosen Reduktion: Progressivität wird durch
Einfachheit gelebt, feine und auf den Punkt entworfene
Details unterstreichen die Persönlichkeit des Kopfhörer mit
subtilem Selbstbewusstsein. Der schmale Kopfbügel lässt
den Solitaire T eng am Kopf anliegen, wodurch eine dezente
Silhouette entsteht. Die Größe der gefasten Ohrmuscheln
wurde präzise berechnet, damit der Kopfhörer auf jedem
Kopf eine prägnante Präsenz entfalten kann, ohne sich in
den Vordergrund zu spielen. Zeitgleich erlaubt die Ab-
schrägung der Muscheln ein angenehmes Tragen auch bei
angelehntem Kopf – wie es bei langen Flug- oder Busreisen
häug vorkommt. Hochwertige Metalle, Aluminium und
Kunststoffe reduzieren das Gewicht des Solitaire T, seine
Konstruktion verteilt das verbleibende Gewicht für druck-
losen Tragekomfort auch über Stunden hinaus.
As the rst fully portable T+A product the Solitaire T is the
most conspicuous representative of our design language
based on timeless reduction: the device’s forward-looking
nature is enlivened by simplicity, while nely crafted details
underline the personal nature of the headphones with
a subtle self-assurance. The slim headband allows the
Solitaire T to rest close to the head, producing an
unassuming silhouette. The size of the chamfered ear cups
is carefully calculated to give the headphones a distinctive
presence on any head, without looking dominant. At the
same time the bevel of the cups makes the phones
pleasant to wear even when the listener’s head is leaning -
as is often the case during long aircraft or coach journeys.
The weight of the Solitaire T is reduced by the use of high-
quality metals, aluminium and composite materials, while
the overall design distributes the remaining weight evenly,
ensuring comfort without pressure even when the phones
are worn for hours.

Neuartige Gelenkanbindung
Im Gegensatz zu anderen T+A Produkten bestand die
Herausforderung in der Konstruktion des Solitaire T nicht
nur darin, einen angenehm zu tragenden Kopfhörer zu ent-
wickeln, sondern audiophile Qualität so platzsparend und
kompakt wie möglich zu bauen. Eine einzigartige Gabel-
anbindung erlaubt die parallele horizontale und vertikale
Rotation, damit sich die Muscheln komplett unabhängig
voneinander bewegen lassen. Nur so ist der Solitaire T
überall platzsparend untergebracht: Sowohl um den Hals
getragen als auch im Gepäck.
New Hinged Design
In contrast to other T+A products, the development of the
Solitaire T presented us with a particular challenge: we had
to design headphones which were pleasant to wear, but at
the same time create audiophile quality from as compact a
unit as possible. A unique yoke link allows the parts to rotate
horizontally and vertically in parallel, allowing the cups to
be moved completely independently of each other. This key
design enables the Solitaire T to take up minimal space when
not in use: either around the neck or in your luggage.

wertige kabellose Verbindungsstandards wie aptX®
HD legen die Grundlage für ein einzigartiges klares,
druckvolles und natürliches Klangbild, das viele kabel-
gebundene Verbindung sogar übertrifft. Seine passive
Dämpfung eliminiert Störgeräusche im Mittel-Hochton-
bereicht komplett ohne elektronische Unterstützung, die
aktive Geräuschunterdrückung beseitigt passiv nicht zu
dämpfende Störgeräusche im Tieftonbereich. Mit einem
einfach erreichbaren Transparenzmodus ist die Umwelt
schnell oder dauerhaft zuschaltbar, sodass Sie nichts
verpassen und doch in Ihrer Musik versunken sein kön-

In seinem mitgelieferten Carry Case ist der Solitaire T
optimal zum Transport verstaut. Seine robusten Mate-
rialien schützen den Kopfhörer und bieten ausreichend
Platz für ein herausnehmbares Kabelfach mit Magnet-
verschluss, in dem das umfangreiche Zubehör auch auf
Reisen seinen Platz ndet.

High-quality wireless connection standards such as aptX
HD provide the basis for a uniquely clear, powerful and
natural sound image which exceeds the standard of many
a wired connection. The headphones’ passive damping
completely eliminates unwanted noise in the mid /
high-frequency range without any electronic intervention,
while the active noise suppression eliminates undesirable
sounds in the bass range, which cannot be damped by
passive means. A transparency mode is readily
accessible, allowing you to switch the environment on and
off quickly or permanently: you miss nothing, but can still
be immersed in your music.
The set includes a carry case which effectively houses the
Solitaire T for transport. It is made of robust
materials which protect the headphones, and provides
ample space for a cable compartment with magnetic
closure where you can stow the comprehensive accessory
set on journeys.
