This operating manual is intended for the operator and all persons who
work on or with the machine, and for all those who install, set up, repair or
clean it.
The operating manual provides important information for the safe and effi-
cient handling of the machine. It is an integral part of the machine and must
be kept accessible and legible at all times in the immediate vicinity of the
machine for the personnel working on it.
The prerequisite for safe and careful working on the machine is compliance
with all the stated safety instructions, notes and actions.
Therefore, the personnel must have carefully read through this operating
manual before starting any work.
- The operating manual is the basis for all actions and all training on the
machine.
Furthermore, the applicable national accident prevention regulations and
general safety regulations at the operating site of the machine must be
complied with
In the interest of technical progress, we reserve the right to make changes
to the machine and the operating instructions. Illustrations and other con-
tent of these operating instructions may differ from the delivered machine.
The date of manufacture on the machine is always the determining factor
with respect to conformity.
Only persons who have read and understood this operating manual
may work on and with the machine.

information is compiled based on related activities. Notes within a chapter
provide cross references to information in other chapters. An overview of
the chapters is provided below. For easier orientation, the symbols are
specified that you will find in the header line of each page.

Chapter
A chapter is the breakdown level within a part of the operating manual.
Subheading
The subheading is used for the subdivision into chapters and is not part of
the table of contents.

Action
1. Texts with a preceding number indicate actions, which need to be car-
ried out chronologically starting with the lowest number.
Occasionally an activity may require a jump in an action, in which case
the activity needs to be carried out starting at this position.
The results of actions are indicated by a “-” in an action step.

2.3 Owner of the machine
2.3.1 Owner
An owner is any natural or legal person who uses the machine, or entrusts
third parties to use the machine and is responsible for the safety of the us-
er, the personnel or third parties during the use.
In your capacity as the owner, obtain confirmation from your personnel that
the operating manual has been read and understood. Use the template in
the Chapter “Appendix for this purpose. If you require more copies of the
operating manual, contact either your TREIF sales partner or TREIF direct-
ly.
2.3.2 Obligations of the owner
The organisational measures concern the work processes in the company
where the machine is operated.
- Check every day that all safety equipment is working correctly before
starting up the machine.
- In addition to these operating instructions, observe the generally appli-
cable legal and other mandatory regulations for the prevention of acci-
dents and protection of the environment.
- Within the European Union, comply with the national regulations ac-
cording to EU Directive 89/391/EEC (in Germany the Ordinance on Op-
erational Health and Safety (BetrSichV)).
- The owner of the machine creates internal operational instructions gov-
erning the activities of and requirements for the persons who work on
the machine. These instructions must take account of the qualification,
experience, technical knowledge and the physical, sensory and mental
capabilities of the persons entrusted with the relevant work.
- The machine must not be left unattended while in operation. Only ap-
propriately qualified, authorised and trained specialist personnel work
on the machine.
- Persons under the age of 14 are never permitted to work on the ma-
chine. In addition to this operating manual, the legal and other manda-
tory regulations for the protection of minors in the country of use must
be observed.

under the supervision of a trained and instructed person. In addition to
this operating manual, the legal and other mandatory regulations for
the protection of minors in the country of use must be observed.
- Always observe the applicable age and occupation-specific regula-
tions for the personnel deployed at the operating site.
- At least once a year, all safety-related equipment of the machine must
be checked for damage by TREIF Service or by skilled personnel
trained and authorised by TREIF.
- The operator must regularly check that personnel work in a safety and
risk-conscious manner in compliance with the operating manual.
- Every person responsible for installing, starting-up, operating and
maintaining the machine must have read and understood the complete
operating manual, particularly the "“Safety" chapter.
