All references to the right or left side and to the front or back are
made as if you were sitting on the exercise bike ready for use.
For example, the chain guard is on the right side of the bike and the
flywheel is at the front.

1.The following tools are supplied to assemble your X-Bike™ Indoor
Cycle.
• 13mm, 15mm and 17mm spanners
• 4mm, 5mm and 6mm allen keys
2. With the help of an assistant, lift the bike frame out of the carton
and remove all protective packaging.
3.Fit the legs onto the frame ensuring that the leg with the wheels is
fitted to the front and the leg without wheels is fitted to the back.
Make sure that the wheels are facing towards the front and that the
feet are facing downwards. Apply a small amount of grease to the
M10 bolt threads. Insert the bolts facing downwards ensuring that
you have a washer above and below the leg. Fit the M10 ut and
tighten securely.
ote: If you are having difficulties threading the nut onto the bolt,
with assistance prop up the base leg and the frame on wooden
blocks to gain easier access to the nut underneath.
4.When the bike is located in its intended place of use, ensure that
all feet are fully supporting the weight. If adjustment is needed, make
sure that the weight is supported on three feet and adjust the fourth
foot to complete.
5.Raise the seat post in the seat tube at the rear of the frame and
apply a light coat of grease. Tighten the adjustable quick release
knob until you are ready to set the height position. Slide the seat
assembly onto the seat post and fit the quick release handle
provided from the bottom upwards. Fit the thumbscrew at the top of
the quick release bolt to secure until you are ready to set the fore/aft
position.

6. To fit the X-Bars™ Handlebar System Head unit, you must first fit
the adaptor. The adaptor should be fitted so that the head post is
facing downwards and towards the rear of the assembly.
Insert the 4 x M8 bolts provided through the base plate of the X-Bars
into the adaptor from front towards the rear, and ensure that a
washer is fitted on both the nut and bolt ends. Tighten securely.
Fit the bottom cover using the 2 x M4 cap head screws provided.
7.Place the square rubber gator on the top on the head tube.
Apply a light coat of grease to the adaptor before inserting the
X-Bars system into the Frame Head tube. The X-Bars System
assembly is inserted through the rubber gator and into the head tube
with the head of the assembly facing towards the front of the bike.
Tighten the adjustable quick release knob until you are ready to set
the head height position.
8. Place the handlebars into the clamp so that the Grip-shift is on the
right hand side of the bike, with the cable exit facing rearwards in the
direction of the rider. Place the marked clamp area of the handlebars
centrally in the clamp to ensure maximum grip from the clamp.
Prior to fitting the top the clamp, the threads of the four bolts should be
coated with thin layer of grease. Place the clamp over the handlebars and
begin to tighten the bolts diagonally to ensure there is an even pressure
applied to all four bolts. Just before the clamp takes pressure, adjust the
orientation of the bars so that the sweep or bend of the bars is horizontal
with the floor when viewed from the front to ensure proper rider position
and comfort. When the bars are in this position, the exit route of the Grip-
shift should have approximately 5mm (1/4”) clearance with the top of the
cover. If it does not, you can adjust the orientation of the Grip-shift by
loosening the grub screw on top of the Grip-shift housing with a 2.5mm
allen key. Adjust the orientation until the cable exit is approximately 5mm
(1/4”) above the top cover. Retighten the grub screw securely.

Apply a light coat of grease to the threads of each pedal. Fit the
pedals, which are marked as if you are seated on the bike, “R” for
right and “L” for left. Carefully thread the right pedal in the crank with
your fingers as far as you can before using a wrench. Take care not
to cross thread the pedal in the crank arm. Use a size 15 wrench tool
to tighten each pedal. Repeat the step for the left pedal.
Note: The left pedal is reverse-threaded. Do not over-tighten.
9. Clean both sides of the flywheel thoroughly using a clean cloth
with any of the following degreasing agents - white spirits,
mentholated spirits, alcohol or other degreasing agent.

OTE : You must first remove the tear off notice from between the
resistance pads and the flywheel. The X-Bike™ Indoor Cycle should
arrive with the resistance shifter already set up on the handlebars,
and may only require minor adjustment after the bike has been
assembled.

The correct resistance calibration range is as follows;
• There should be O resistance contact between the pads and the
flywheel at the minimum setting (when the shifter is turned fully
clockwise away from the rider)
• Resistance pads should make contact with the flywheel between
the 1st and 4th clicks.
• If the first resistance contact is made with the flywheel between 5
and 9 clicks, ‘minor’ adjustment on the system should be made (see
below)
• It the first resistance contact is made with the flywheel after
9 clicks, ‘major’ adjustment should be made to the resistance system
(see next page)
"7),2=;<<0-:-;1;<)6+-
For further easy to follow instructions on how to adjust the
resistance, please go to www.trixter.net and follow the small video in
the support section.
Minor adjustment can be achieved by turning the grey barrel adjuster
at the base of the resistance cable above the brake mechanism
either clockwise or counter-clockwise depending on whether the
resistance needs to be increased or decreased.

1. Using a 6mm Allen
key, loosen the bolt at
the bottom of the
V-Brake to release the
cable for adjustment.
2.Adjust the grey barrel adjuster at the base of the resistance cable
until the silver insert is level with the outer barrel. This will ensure that
there will be sufficient cable in the minor adjustment block for future
regular checks. Ensure that the cable housing is seated correctly in
the cable exit of the shifter and that the barrel adjuster, spacer and
power adjuster are all properly seated.
3. Then from the front of the bike, reach around the fork leg and grab
both resistance arms with your left hand. Squeeze the arms together
until the pads are just touching the flywheel. With your right hand
pull the free end of the cable until all the slack is taken up. Maintain
slight tension and lay the cable down the side of the arm and hold it
in place with one of the fingers on your left hand. Then tighten the
clamp on the cable securely.
4.Then rotate the shifter through its full range of motion, from min to
max about 15 to 20 times to seat and pre-stretch the cable. Recheck
the resistance setting and adjust if necessary. The resistance is set,
when the shifter is at its minimum setting and the pads have no contact
with the sides of the flywheel. The pads should be free to move up and
down when wiggled by hand and the flywheel should rotate freely.
5.Increase the resistance by 1 to 4 clicks which should result in the
pads making slight contact with the flywheel. If the resistance is
between 5 and 9 clicks you should refer to the ‘minor’ adjustment
procedure.
6.Final resistance adjustment - Repeat step 4 to remove any excess
slack in the cable. When adjusted properly and with everything in the
lowest resistance position the flywheel should spin freely between
the pads. The pads should ride quite close to the flywheel, but move
freely if they are wiggled by hand.
7.Test ride the bike to check the resistance pad adjustment. The
increase in resistance should be gradual with each click of shifter
rotation. At the lowest resistance position there should not be any
resistance felt at all while pedalling. At the highest position the
resistance should be very difficult for eve highly trained riders.

1. Rotate the pedals so that one of the pedals is in the upward position.
2. Place your foot in the toe clip of the pedal closest to the floor and
mount the bike. Ensure that the ball of your foot is over the centre of
the pedal. Your leg should be slightly bent at the knee as shown in
the picture below.
3. If your leg is too straight or your foot cannot touch the pedal, you
will need to lower the seat. If your leg is bent too much, you will need
to raise the seat.
4. To adjust, dismount the bike and release the quick release knob
for the seat height adjustment. Once loosened you may slide the seat
post up or down as necessary. When the seat is in the desired
position, tighten the quick release knob to lock the position. ote the
final position mark on the seat stem for future use.
5. Adjusting the fore or aft allows for more comfortable riding
position. To adjust, dismount the bike and release the quick release
lever under the seat and slide the seat forward or backward as
desired. Tighten the quick release clever to lock ensuring that the
direction of the lever is facing rearward. ote the final position mark
on the seat stem for future use.
)6,4-*):):-1/0<,2=;<5-6<
1. If you own a road or mountain bike, this position can be taken
from your chosen set up. Place a straight edge ruler on top of your
bikes saddle and extend it over the handlebar, making sure that the
ruler is level or parallel with the ground. Measure the distance from
the bottom edge of the ruler to the top of the handlebar and replicate
this measurement on the X-Bike™ Indoor Cycle.
2. To adjust, dismount the bike and release the quick release knob
on the head tube for the handlebar adjustment. Raise or lower the X-
Bar™ System headstock until the required measurement has been
achieved. Reapply the quick release knob to lock. ote the final
position mark on the handlebar stem for future use.
3. If you do not own a bike and are setting the height up for the first
time it is suggested to set the handlebars at the same height as the
seat for a datum and then try different heights to get the arrangement
most suitable for you.

1. Place the ball of each foot on the pedal and in the toe clip such
that the ball of the foot is centred over the pedal spindle (centre of
the pedal)
2. Rotate one foot to within arms reach and pull up on the toe clip
strap. Repeat for the other foot.
3. Keep your knees over your foot as you pedal.

warranty is covered by the individual procedure for any repair, which
includes the limit on repair times based on the times taken by an
experienced service engineer with the proper tools and training.
All potential warranty claims must be approved in advance of any
work being carried out. Any claim for work already carried out without
