Work Cycle
• The tool is built with an air-cooled, 2-strike engine using unleaded gasoline and high-quality auto-mixing oil with fuel
stabilizer specified for air-cooled, 2-stroke engines.
• The motor is certified to run with unleaded gasoline for vehicles with octane rating 87 ([R+M]/2) or higher.
• Do not use any type of pre-mixed gasoline with oil sold in service stations, especially for motorcycles, etc.
• Do not use engine oil for self-propulsion, or two-cycle oil outboard motor.
• The ratio in the mix shall be 50 parts of gasoline per 1 part oil (50:1 ratio). Prepare the mix in a container approved to
store gasoline. Always mix thoroughly before pouring into the motor tank.
Do not use gasoline mix that has been stored for more than 15 days. Mix small amounts.
Never smoke in the vicinity of the fuel or the filling up area, or where the mix is being prepared, or
when operating the tool.
Trying to start the tool failing to add oil into the fuel mix will cause the motor to malfunction.

General Motor Tool

Keep your work area clean, tidy and well lit.
Cluttered and dark areas may cause accidents.
Never use the tool in explosive areas or in the presence
of flammable liquids.
Before starting the motor keep the tool at least
30 feet away from the fill up area.
Keep children and passersby at a safe distance while
operating the tool.
Distractions could cause loosing control and cause
accidents.
Avoid contact with power lines and circuits.
Find and avoid power lines and circuits, especially
hidden wiring as well as any grounded object.
Stay alert, use care and common sense.
Familiarity with the tool operation could lead to
distractions. It could cause accidents.
Refrain from using the tool if tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
Being momentarily distracted while using the tool could
cause severe personal injury.
Operate the tool with guards and protection devices in
place and in good working condition.
Failure to comply with this warning is a hazard of severe

• Never run the tool when tired, sick or
under the effects of drugs, alcohol or prescription
medicine.
• Wear adequate clothes to operate the tool: tight clothes,
thick trousers non-skid safety boots, heavy-duty protecting
gloves and safety eyeglasses with side protection under
ANSI Z87.1 Standard.
• Remove any accessory or loose
clothes that could get caught inside the motor. Fix long
hair so that it stays at shoulder level.
• Double check the tool is in perfect conditions. Do not
start the machine if misadjusted or not fully assembled
preventing it to work properly, or if the fuel tank shows
leaks or loose screws.
• Make sure the tool is clean, dry and free of oil or fuel.
• Double check the work area is open and well ventilated.
• In extreme weather check, there is no ice or
condensation in the tool.
• Make sure visibility and light conditions are adequate to
clearly watch the job. Otherwise do not use the tool.
• Make sure the pipes are not pointing towards people or
animals before starting the motor.
• Hold the blower correctly and keep
both feet firmly supported on the ground.
• Keep your full body away from the muffler. Otherwise it
can produce severe burns.
• Keep the tool away from flammable material.
• Do not carry out adjustments to the tool with the motor
running.
• Stay alert to any type of hazards. The noise of the tool
could prevent you to notice dangerous situations.
• Safety is a combination of common sense, alert mind and knowledge about how the tool works.
• Read the manual carefully before you start using the tool. Pay close attention to safety rules, alert symbols
and danger, warning and attention labels. Also read all the stickers on the tool.
• Never smoke where there is fuel present or the filling up
area or where the oil mix is prepared or while operating
the tool.
• To reduce the risk of fire or burns handle fuel with
care. It is extremely flammable.
• Prevent that gasoline or oil make contact with your skin.
• Protect your eyes to prevent gasoline or oil spills. If there
is any type of accidental contact rinse immediately with
clear water. If there is irritation see your physician.
• Mix and store fuel in a designated container.
• Mix fuel outdoors away from fire or
sparks.
• Before re-fueling the tool stop the turn off the motor, set
it on clear ground and wait for the motor to cool down.
• Before operating the machine clean
any amount of fuel that might have dripped onto the tool.
• Check for fuel leaks. If any, fix the
leaks before using the tool to prevent fire, injury or burns.
• Set the tool away at least 30 feet away from the filling up
place before starting the motor.
• For no reason at all burn spilled fuel to get rid of it.
• For no reason at all use any fuel different from the one
specified in this manual for the tool.
• Always carry the tool with the motor
off and the muffler away from your body. Before putting it
up into a vehicle empty the fuel tank.
• Set the motor off before resting the
tool. DO NOT leave the motor running unattended.
Allow it to cool down before storing the tool.
• Service and repairs to the tool shall
only be carried out in a Authorized
Service Center.

• In the event that some parts are
missing do not start the tool until replacing them.
Otherwise the user may suffer severe personal injuries.
• Do not try to modify the tool or
manufacture accessories not recommended for the tool.
Otherwise the user may be hurt making the warranty
void.
• When gaining access to mobile parts
disconnect the spark plug cable in the motor to prevent
an accidental start up that causes severe injuries to the
user.

• Insert the handle into the upper pipe as shown in the figure.
• Join with brackets the ventilator into the flexible hose and the flexible hose to the
upper pipe.
• Join the upper pipe to the lower pipe and the lower pipe to the nozzle fit for the job
and thread the joints.
• Fasten the control duct to the flexible pipe with the plastic brackets.

Fuel Supply
Start Up
• Follow the Safety Standards for fuel handling (page 5).
• Clean the surface around the fuel tank cap to prevent
contamination.
• Slowly loosen the fuel tank cap.
• To avoid any spills carefully pour the fuel mix into de
tank. Follow the fuel specifications
(page 3).
• Double-check and clean the joints before setting back
the fuel tank cap.
• Immediately set the fuel tank cap and tighten by hand.
• Clean up any fuel spill.
Smoke emissions in a new motor is a
normal occurrence during and after it is used for the first
time.
Fuel Supply for the Motor
• Before starting the blower make all the necessary
adjustments in the harness to firmly fit your back.
• Then, remove the blower from your back and set the
blower on its base and on leveled ground.
• Set the switch into the ON position (1).
• Press and release the primer bulb 10 times (2).
• Move the choke lever into “ ” position (3).
• Press the throttle trigger and block it with the blocking
button (4).
• Pull the jack-line to start the motor. DO NOT pull more
than 8 times (5).
• In the event the motor is not running move the choke
lever into “ ” position (6).
• Pull the jack-line once more until the motor starts
running. DO NOT pull more than 6 times. In cold weather,
you would need to pull the jack-line more times (7).
• In the event the motor is not running, repeat steps from
step 2.
• Once the motor is running, run 10 seconds in that
position (8).
• Set the choke lever into the “ ” position (9).
• Press and release the throttle trigger to run idle.
• The blower is ready to operate. Place it on your back to
start working.

• Double check the straps are properly adjusted to your back and
your body weight is well distributed on both feet.
• Keep the nozzle close to the ground.
• Do not point the nozzle towards people or
animals. Otherwise, you can cause severe injury.
• Press the trigger so that air starts flowing out through the nozzle.
• Move from one side to the other and rotate your waist. Keep the
nozzle close to the ground. Start sweeping leaves or residue.

• Set the switch in the ON position (A).
• Press and release the primer bulb 10 times (B).
• Press the throttle trigger and block with the blocking
button (C).
• Move the choke lever to “ ” position (D).
• Pull the jack-line until the motor starts running (E).
• When it starts, let it run 10 seconds in this position (F).
• Set the choke lever into “ ” position (G).
• Press and release the throttle trigger to run idle.

• The motor runs with a Champion RCJ-6Y spark plug or
Torch L7RTC, with a 0.025” electrode gap. Replace with a
similar spark plug once a year.
• Using a wrench loosen the worn spark plug to the left
side. Remove it.
• Insert the new spark plug and tighten to the right side
with your hand. Then, give half-a-turn with the wrench.
• Use care not to damage the spark plug
thread. Otherwise the motor could get severely
damaged.
• Before inspecting, cleaning or servicing the tool, turn off the motor. Wait until all moving parts stop. Disconnect the spark plug
cable and separate it from the spark plug. Otherwise you could get severely injured and/or the tool gets damaged.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Air Filter
• Adjust the choke lever into the “Full” position ( ).
• Pressing the lock in the upper side, remove the air filter
cover.
• Using compressed air or a brush; remove as much as
possible, dust and sawdust accumulated in the uncovered
area when removing the motor cover.
• Remove the air filter.
• Depending upon usage, give the filter a superficial
cleansing. Tap the air filter against a flat and smooth
surface. Remove most particles, sawdust and dust.
• Also, you could use compressed air. Blow away dirt on
both sides.
• For a more thorough cleansing, wash the air filter with
lukewarm soapy water. Rinse and let it dry before setting
it back in the tool.
• If using compressed air to dry the filter, blow on both
sides.
• Set back the air filter. Double check it fits perfectly in its
place.
General Cleansing
• Using a brush or compressed air clean and clear the
ventilation slots in the starter unit as needed.
• Likewise, periodically clean and blow the motor cylinder
blades and the fan blades. Remove all particles.
Otherwise, the motor overheats and gets damaged.
• According to the type of fuel and oil used, or the working
conditions, the exhaust outlet and muffler could get
obstructed with carbon deposits. If you notice power loss
in the tool, said deposits need to be removed. Take the
tool to a Authorized Service Center
to carry out this service.
Exhaust and Muffler Cleansing
• According upon type of fuel, the amount of oil used
and/or working conditions, the tool exhaust and muffler
could get clogged with carbon deposits. If noticing power
loss, the deposits should be removed to increase
performance. Go to a Authorized
Service Center to carry out this service.
• There is a spark arrester inside the muffler. After long
working periods the screen gets dirty and the muffler
should be replaced. Take it to be replaced in a
Authorized Service Center.
Tool Storage
When storing the tool for one month or longer consider
the following considerations:
• Drain all the fuel from the fuel tank into an approved
gasoline container. The remaining fuel mix should be
reused in another two-cycle motor using a 50:1 ratio.
• Run the motor until all remaining fuel burns and it
stops. Eliminate any fuel residues and avoid damaging
gum build-up in the fuel system.
• Clean the tool thoroughly.
• Store the unit in a well-ventilated area. Keep it away from
corrosive agents such as gardening chemicals, de-icing salts.
Keep it away from children.
• Comply with all the government regulations dealing with
safety and handling of fuel.
Idle Adjustment
• If the motor starts, works and throttles but is not running
idle, turn to the right the idle screw to the right to run the
motor idle.
• If the blower is blowing when the motor is running idle,
turn the idle screw to the left. It reduces the speed and
the blower stops blowing.
• If the blower is still blowing, when the motor is running
idle after adjusting the screw, turn off the tool and stop
using. Take it to a Authorized Center
to adjust.

The motor will not
start.
The motor starts but
there is no throttle.

• The idle screw in the
carburetor needs to be
adjusted.
• Verify the spark. Remove the motor cover. Remove the spark plug from
the cylinder. Connect the spark plug cable and set it onto the motor
cylinder with the metal side touching it. Pull the jack-line and watch the
spark in the spark plug electrode. If there is no spark try again with a new
spark plug.
• Press the primer bulb until the fuel is visible in the choke. Not seeing
any fuel means that the fuel supply primary system is blocked. Contact a
Authorized Service Center. If the primer bulb fills
with fuel signals that the motor is flooded.
• With the switch OFF, remove the plug. Set the choke lever into the
“Run” ( ) position. Pull the choke handle 15 to 20 times to eliminate
excessive fuel from the motor. Clean the spark plug and install back.
Follow the normal start procedure (see page 7). If the motor does not
start, set the choke lever in the “Full” ( ) position and repeat the
starting procedure. If the motor does not run, repeat the procedure with a
new spark plug.
• Take the tool to a Authorized Service Center.
• Allow the motor to finish warming up. If it does not throttle after three
minutes contact a Authorized Service Center.
• Take the tool to a Authorized Service Center.
• Use fresh fuel and the right oil mix for 2 cycle motors.
• Clean the air filter (See page 9).
• Take the tool to a Authorized Service Center.
• Turn the idle screw counterclockwise to increase speed. See page 9.

Solución de problemas
El motor no arranca.
El motor arranca pero
no acelera.
El motor arranca pero
solo va a velocidad
alta con la mitad del
ahogador.

de ajuste.
• Revise la mezcla de
aceite / combustible.
• El filtro de aire está
sucio.
• La pantalla de la
guarda anti chispas está
sucia.
• El tornillo de ralentí en
el carburador necesita
ajuste.
• Revise la chispa. Retire la cubierta del motor. Retire la bujía del cilindro.
Conecte el cable de la bujía y colóquela sobre el cilindro del motor con
su parte metálica tocando el cilindro. Tire de la piola y observe la chispa
en el electrodo de la bujía. Si no la hay, repita la prueba con una bujía
nueva.
• Presione el bulbo cebador hasta que el combustible sea visible en el
bulbo. Si no se ve el combustible, significa que el sistema primario de
suministro de combustible está bloqueado. Contacte un Centro de
Servicio Autorizado. En caso que el bulbo cebador se llene de
combustible, es señal que el motor está ahogado.
• Teniendo apagado el interruptor de encendido, retire la bujía. Coloque la
palanca del ahogador a la posición “Run” ( ) y tire de la piola de 15 a
20 veces para eliminar el exceso de combustible del motor. Limpie la bujía
y vuelva a instalarla. Siga el procedimiento de arranque normal (consulte
la página 7). Si no arranca el motor, coloque la palanca del ahogador a la
posición “Full” ( ) y repita el procedimiento de arranque. Si el motor
aún no arranca, repita el procedimiento con una bujía nueva.
• Lleve la herramienta a un Centro de Servicio Autorizado
.
• Permita que el motor se caliente por completo. Si el motor no acelera
después de tres minutos, contacte a su Centro de Servicio Autorizado
.
• Lleve la herramienta a un Centro de Servicio Autorizado
.
• Use combustible nuevo y la mezcla correcta de aceite para 2 tiempos.
• Limpie el filtro de aire. Consulte la página 9.
• Lleve la herramienta a un Centro de Servicio Autorizado
.
• Gire el tornillo de ralentí en sentido de las agujas del reloj para aumentar
la velocidad. Consulte la página 9.

• El motor utiliza una bujía del tipo Champion RCJ-6Y o
Torch L7RTC con una separación de electrodos de 0.63 mm
(0.025”). Reemplace la bujía por otra igual una vez al año.
• Afloje la bujía gastada hacia la izquierda con una llave y
retírela.
• Inserte la bujía nueva y apriétela con la mano hacia la
derecha. Apriétela media vuelta mas con la llave.
• Tenga cuidado de no estropear la
rosca de la bujía, de lo contrario resultaría seriamente
dañado el motor.
• Antes de inspeccionar, limpiar o dar servicio a la herramienta, apague el motor, espere a que todas las partes móviles se
hayan detenido; desconecte el cable de la bujía y sepárelo de la bujía. De lo contrario puede sufrir lesiones de gravedades y/o
daños al equipo.

Mantenimiento
Limpieza del filtro del aire
• Ajuste la palanca del ahogador a la posición “Full”( ).
• Retire la tapa del filtro de aire presionando el seguro en
la parte superior.
• Elimine con aire comprimido o con un cepillo tanta
tierra y aserrín como sea posible del área descubierta al
retirar la cubierta del motor.
• Retire el filtro del aire.
• Dependiendo del tiempo de uso puede dar al filtro una
limpieza superficial con sólo golpearlo ligeramente contra
una superficie lisa y plana para desalojar la mayoría de las
partículas de aserrín y polvo.
• También puede sopletear el filtro con aire comprimido,
hágalo por ambos lados.
• O para una limpieza más completa limpie el filtro del
aire en agua jabonosa tibia, enjuáguelo y déjelo secar por
completo antes de instalarlo de nuevo en la herramienta.
• En caso de que utilice aire comprimido para secarlo,
sople por ambas caras del filtro.
• Instale de nuevo el filtro del aire, verificando que
empate en su lugar.
Limpieza general
• Con un cepillo o aire comprimido limpie y despeje las
ranuras de ventilación de la unidad de la piola cada vez
que sea necesario.
• De la misma forma limpie periódicamente las aletas del
cilindro del motor y las aletas del ventilador para retirar
cualquier impureza. De no hacerlo el motor puede
dañarse debido a un recalentamiento.
• Dependiendo del tipo de combustible y aceite utilizados
o las condiciones de funcionamiento particulares, el
orificio de escape y el silenciador pueden resultar
obstruidos con depósitos de carbón. Si observa alguna
pérdida de potencia en la herramienta, puede ser
necesario eliminar dichos depósitos para restaurar su
rendimiento. Lleve la herramienta a un Centro de Servicio
Autorizado para que realicen éste
servicio.
Limpieza del escape y del silenciador
• El escape y el silenciador se pueden tapar con depósitos
de carbón, dependiendo del tipo de combustible, la
cantidad de aceite utilizada y/o las condiciones es las que
se utiliza la herramienta. Si nota pérdida de potencia se
deberán retirar esos depósitos para restaurar el
desempeño. Acuda a un Centro de Servicio Autorizado
para realizar este servicio.
• El silenciador está equipado con una pantalla anti
chispas dentro del silenciador. Después de usarse por
largos periodos de tiempo la pantalla se ensucia y se
debe reemplazar el silenciador. Acuda a un Centro de
Servicio Autorizado para realizar el
reemplazo.
Almacenamiento de la herramienta
En caso de que almacene la herramienta durante un mes
o más, tome en cuenta las siguientes consideraciones:
• Drene todo el contenido del tanque de combustible en
un recipiente de uso aprobado para gasolina. Todo el
sobrante debe reutilizarse en otro equipo con motor de
dos tiempos con proporción de 50:1.
• Ponga a funcionar el motor hasta que consuma el resto
del combustible y se apague por si mismo. Así eliminará
el combustible residual y evitará que se forme grumos de
aceite que podría dañar el sistema de combustible.
• Limpie la herramienta por completo.
• Almacene la unidad en un espacio ventilado, apartado de
agentes corrosivos como productos químicos para jardín o
sales para derretir hielo y lejos del alcance de los niños.
• Cumpla con todos los reglamentos gubernamentales
relacionados con la seguridad en el manejo y
almacenamiento de combustibles.
ATENCIÓN
Ajuste de ralentí
• Si el motor arranca, funciona y acelera, pero no funciona
en ralentí, gire el tornillo de marcha lenta hacia la derecha
para que el motor pueda funcionar en marcha lenta.
• Si la sopladora sopla con el motor en ralentí, gire el
tornillo de ralentí hacia la izquierda para reducir su
velocidad de manera que la sopladora no sople.
• Si la sopladora aún sopla al estar el motor en ralentí
después de haber ajustado el tornillo, apague la
herramienta y suspenda su uso hasta que la ajusten en
un Centro de Servicio Autorizado .
