• Do not insert any objects into the amp ifier.
• To insta the device, se ect an open p ace with good venti ation. The amp ifier
shou d be p aced so that the va ves (vacuum tubes) are a ways vertica .
• The amp ifier operates with a ternating current vo tage 240 VOLT, 50 HZ. Before
connecting power check that the required supp y vo tage corresponds to your oca
AC supp y. If a different vo tage is stated, do not connect the amp ifier to the mains
power, and seek advice from your dea er / distributor.
• Never pu the power cab e from the cord.
• Connect to the mains power using a high qua ity mains cab e.

minutes after powering off before moving, because of the high vo tages that
remain in the amp ifier.
Do not touch the va ves during operation – serious risk of being burned!
The ifetime of the tube is 7,000 hours for Apo o and after this time rep acement is
necessary.
After use, a ways a ow the amp ifiers to coo down before re-starting (2 minutes
shou d suffice).
Do not operate the amp ifier without a oad (speaker cab es attached) as this can
cause damage to the amp ifiers.

furthest from the transformers) is norma feedback.
• The right switch chooses the operating mode of the pair of output tubes. In the rear
position (the switch is nearest to the transformers) the output tubes operate at triode
operation and in the front position (the switch is furthest from the transformers) they
operating at 50% triode and 50% pentode mode (U tra inear).

8. Re-biasing procedure
This procedure is required when changing or rep acing the va ves.
Required instruments:
1. A mu timeter capab e of measuring direct vo tage eve to approximate y 300m.V.
D.C.
2. Ohmic oad approximate y 8 OHM / 10 WATT (can be used and the speakers,
subject)
3. A sma p astic screwdriver - straight.
Set-up process
Connect the amp ifier to be configured with ohmic oad (no po arity) or the
speaker).
Connect the ine input of the amp ifier to the preamp, but switch off the preamp.
Connect the negative po e of the mu timeter to the b ack connector of the speaker
output (-) and red eave for an hour incoherent.
Activate the amp ifier (CAUTION are dead y currents during operation of the
amp ifier, which persist even after the power supp y from the network).
Take the red probe (of the mu timeter) and p ace in binding post behind the tube
we want to regu ate.
Measure the vo tage, the indication must be 200 mV + / - 10 m.V. for the EL 34
and 250 m.V. + / - 10 mV for KT88 or KT 6550 as we increase the id ing current as
the amp ifier goes from c ass AB to c ass A, but with reduced ife without audib e

improvement. Since the aboratory is adjusted in the Apo o 200 mV which
trans ates into a cathode current 20 mA.
Repeat for each Monob ock unit.
I = U/R
where:
I is the cathode current in mA
U is the vo tage measured with the mu timeter to mV
R is the resistance of cathode (the Appo o amp ifier is 10 OHM).
Adjust the current of each tube with the p astic screwdriver the corresponding
variab e resistor (trimmer) ocated right or eft respective y.
Waiting 5-10 minutes and repeat the above two steps, if necessary make a
adjustments.
The setup process is finished.
CAUTION
Very high levels of electrical current operate inside the amplifier, which may
continue for many hours after the power supply is disconnected from the mains.
CAUTION
Only trained personnel should open and service this amplifier.
