Welcome to Run for the Roses Horse Racing!
Please read these assembly instructions and rules, they will
help guide you for the best horse racing experience!
Parts List
In addition to the racetrack, your game should include the
following parts:
A. 4Horseguresin4colors
B. 16 Invisibase™ Horseshoes (extras are included)
C. 5 Tokens
D. Chance Bag
E. FieldDrive™ Motion Generator (Motor)
F. PlayAction™ Remote Control

Mount the Motor under the Racetrack
1. Turn game upside down;
2. Note the correct Motor location and orientation;
3. Peel adhesive backing from the Motor;
4. Lightly press the Motor into position;
5. Pick up game and press against Motor from both
sides of the game to secure to racetrack;
6. Plug Remote Control into Motor;
7. Install 2 AA batteries (not included) in the Remote
Control. Note the + and – markings and install as
indicated. Please refer to the Battery Safety Informa-
tion found within these instructions.
To Attach Invisibase Horseshoes
Slip 2 Invisibase Horseshoes onto the bottom of each horse
as shown. Note the “Direction of Travel” picture below right
-- blades should naturally angle slightly to the back.

Option 1: Day at the Derby
Fun for 1-4 players
RaceyourHorseagainstyouropponents’Horsesandcol-
lectpointsforyournishinmultipleraces.TherstHorse
to reach 21 points wins the Day at the Derby.
1. Place the Horses, Horseshoes, and Tokens into the
Chance Bag.
2. Each player draws a Horse, two Horseshoes, and one
Token from the Chance Bag. No peeking! For addi-
tional races each player keeps their Horse and Horse-
shoes, but not their Tokens -- Tokens are returned to
the Chance Bag and chosen prior to each race. The
number on the Token determines the starting lane of
eachplayer’sHorse.IftheRaceMarshallToken“M”is
drawn, set aside and draw an additional Token. The
Race Marshall Token “M” (not needed for single play-
er) determines the player that operates the Remote
Control.
3. Fit the Horseshoes onto the Horses, paying attention
to the direction of travel (see previous page). You may
make any desired adjustments to Horseshoes prior to
eachraceandtestthemonthetrackorineld.
4. Place the Horses in their starting positions to match
your Token. The entire Horse must be behind the start-
ing line.
5. The Race Marshall calls, “Riders Up!” and starts the
race by pressing and holding the racing button on
the side of the Remote Control. After the race is over,
release the button to stop. The Race Marshall controls
the race and the speed. The speed may be adjusted
during the race, if desired, by turning the large knob
on the Remote Control. If more than two Horses fall
during a race, the Race Marshall declares a do-over
and changes the speed setting.
7. One race is over when all the Horses have completed
alapandhavecrossedthenishline.
8. Repeattheraces.Therstplayerto21pointswins!

Use the pre-printed Racing Form on page 4 to track and
mark your score. Make photocopies for additional forms.
Option 2: Riders Up!
Fun for 1-4 players and large groups

races,toscorepoints.Therstplayertoreach21points
wins.
1. Place the Horses, Horseshoes, and Tokens into the

Each correct guess earns 1 point, plus bonus points:
Correctly guessing...
0 or 1 Horse in a race = 0 bonus points
2 Horses in a race = 2 bonus points
3 Horses in a race = 3 bonus points
all 4 Horses in a race = 7 bonus points

BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
We recommend the use of alkaline batteries.
In exceptional circumstances batteries may leak uids that can cause a
chemical burn injury or ruin your product. To avoid battery leakage:
• Non-recharchable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the product before be-
ing charged.
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nick-
el-cadmium) batteries.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to
be used.
• Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity.
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the product.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
• Dispose of batteries safely.
• Donotdisposeofthisproductinare.Thebatteriesinsidemayex-
plode or leak.

LIMITED WARRANTY
Tudor Games, Inc. (Tudor Games™) warrants to the original purchaser that
the product shall be free from material defects in material and workmanship
for a period of three (3) months from the original purchase date (the “War-
ranty Period”). If the product is determined to be materially defective during
the Warranty Period, your sole remedy and Tudor Games™ sole and exclu-
sive liability under this warranty shall be limited to the repair or replacement
oftheproductwithaneworrefurbishedproductatTudorGames’option.
For purpose of this Limited Warranty and Liability, “refurbished” means a
productthathasbeenreturnedtoitsoriginalspecications.Intheventthat
Tudor Games repairs or replaces your product under warranty, the repair or
replacement will remain covered by this warranty for the remainder of the
Warranty Period or, where the Warranty Period has expired, for thirty (30)
days from the date that the product is returned to you. All warranty claims
aresubjecttoTudorGames’:(i)receiptofnoticeofadefectwithinthewar-
rantyperiod;(ii) verication of theexistence of thedefectin the product;
and (iii) receipt of valid proof of the purchase date. This warranty is void
and will not apply if the product is used with other products that are not
compatiblewiththeproduct;modiedortamperedwith;usedforcommer-
cial purposes (including rentals); damaged by accident, unreasonable use,
neglect, abuse, misuse or other reasons unrelated to defective materials or
workmanship; immersed in water; damaged by improper installation and/
or battery leakage; damaged by improper service and/or attempted service;
used in a manner for which it is not designed; or used with products not sold
or licensed by Tudor Games™.
Service Department about warranty issues. Before returning a product to
Tudor Games, notify the Tudor Games Consumer Service Department. If the
service representative is unable to solve the problem, you will be provided
with instructions as to how to have the product repaired or replaced. If Tu-
dorGamesbelievesthattheremaybeavalidwarrantyclaimandconrms
the original date of purchase for the product, Tudor Games will provide you
instructions for returning the product.
