1. INTRODUCTION
The electricalcontrolboxtowhichthismanual referscan beused toregulateandmanage
automaticdistribution unitsconsisting ofelectromagneticindustrialvibratorsthathavea
maximumintakethat isnot greaterthanthatindicated on theratingplateonthebox. It hasin
factbeen conceivedforcontrol systemsusingmodulesthatarealsodifferentfromone

Inalltheavailableversionstheboxinquestion is stabilised inasmuchasthecircuit(EL7_ST,
EL7_PLC, EL7_AC, EL7_AC_PLC)isnotonlystableintermsof temperatureandreliablebut
isalsoequipped withfeaturesthatenableittocompensateanylinevariations(±20)thus
keepingconstanttheintensityofvibrationsregardless ofthefluctuationstowhichthenetwork
issubjected overthespaceoftwenty-fourhours.Thisfeatureisunalteredbyanytypeof

The EL7.AC and EL7.AC.PLC aretheversionswithvibration sensors.Thecircuitsthatthey
contain(EL7_AC or EL7_AC_PLC)notonlyenablelinevoltagevariationstobestabilised but
alsostabilisethe weightvariations withwhichthevibratorisloaded.
The versions EL7.SE, EL7.AC.SE, EL7.PLC.SE and EL7.AC.PLC.SE consistoftwocircuits,
oneforactual regulation ofthevibrator(EL7_ST, EL7_AC, EL7_PLC and EL7_AC_PLC)and

•Setting minimumandmaximumvibratorspeed
The vibrator’sminimumand maximumspeedscan beseteitheronlybyapotentiometer

selection).
−Setting speed bypotentiometercommand
Settingminimumspeed:
Turntominimumthespeed-adjustmentknob(100Kpotentiometer) locatedon the
lidofthebox,thenadjust theminimumTRIMMERuntiltherequired minimumspeed
isreached.
Settingmaximumspeed:
Turntomaximumthespeed-adjustmentknob (100Kpotentiometer)) located on the
lidofthebox,thenadjustthemaximumTRIMMERuntil therequired maximum
speed isreached.
−Setting speed throughPLCcommand
Speedcanbeset byconnectingan externalsignal comingfromthePLCthatvaries
from0-10Vtoinputs2and3of theconnector2orbyconnectingan external signal
varyingfrom0-20mAtoinputs1and3oftheconnector2.
Payattentionto+and -polarities
Settingminimumspeed:
Transmittheexternal minimumsignal andadjusttheminimumTRIMMERuntil the
requiredminimumspeedisreached.
Settingmaximumspeed:
Transmittheexternal maximumsignal andadjustthemaximum(automatic)

•Variation ofinitial ramptime
Initial ramptimecan bechanged:
−slow1second
−fast0.1seconds
bymeansofjumperY2asinthefig. (disconnectpowersupplybeforemaking the
selection).
•Switchingcontrol boxON-OFF
The vibratorcan beswitched off usingtheconnector2inthefollowing manner:
connecttheinputs3-5oftheconnector2withacleancontactthatcarriesnovoltage
(e.g. relaycontact)orconnectorofinput3-4ofconnector2with24-VDCinputsignal (e.g.
fromPLC).Inthelattercase, payattention to+and –polarity.
Disconnectpowersupplybeforemaking theconnections.
