DISPLAY FEATURES
Indicates day of the week.
System status: displays“HEAT”, “COOL” or “HOLD”to indicate
the current mode the system is running;“HEAT” and “COOL” are
displayed simultaneously when thermostat is in auto mode.“HOLD”
is shown when the thermostat is in a permanent hold mode.“FLTR”
displays as a reminder to change or clean your lter.
Displays “B AT T” when the batteries are low and should be replaced.
Alternately displays current time and temperature.
Displays “OFF”when system is o.
Displays currently programmed set temperature.
(This is blank when system is OFF.)
Antenna icon will display until the room temperature
reaches the set point temperature after an event.
Will display “SAVE” when the a/c is turned o during a
curtailment event. If the power is cut o at the air
conditioning unit, it will display“POWER FAIL”.
LOCALLY SETTING CURRENT TIME AND DAY
After establishing communication with the Gateway, the time and date will update on your TXU Energy iThermostat™
within 24 hours.
TO MANUALLY SET TIME:
Press1. TIME button once. The display will show the hour only.
Press and hold either2. or until you reach the correct hour and AM/PM designation.
Press3. TIME once again. The display window will show minutes only.
Press and hold either4. or until you reach the correct minutes.
Press5. TIME once again. The display will show the day of the week.
Press6. or until you reach the current day of the week.
Press7. RUN once. The display will show the correct time and room temperature alternately.

COMPONENTS
GATEWAY SET-UP
Connect Gateway Antenna and position it so it is
pointing towards ceiling
Connect one end of the Ethernet Cable to the
Gateway and the other end to an available port on
your router
Connect Gateway Power Supply and turn plug to
right to lock in place
When properly connected the LEDs on the Gateway
Ethernet port should light up (amber should go solid
and green should ash)
ACCESS REMOTE CONNECTION
Log in to the TXU Energy iThermostat™ Manager at
txu.com/iThermostat and change and save your password
Click on the “Prole” tab and then click the “Test” button.
This will cause the green LED on your
TXU Energy iThermostat™ to ash for 1 hour.
Check your TXU Energy iThermostat™ to conrm that the
green light is ashing. You will need to be directly in front
of the thermostat to view the green light. This is your
indication that the TXU Energy iThermostat™ and Gateway
are communicating and activated.
