Chapter 1: Instruction
1.1 - Congratulations
You have purchased one of the most powerful server solutions. Based on the Intel®
Patsburgh-A (PCH), ASPEED AST1300/2300 chipset, The TYAN®S7045 series
motherboard is designed to support dual Intel®Xeon E5-2400 series, socket B2
SKT1356 processor.
The S7045 has (6+6) 240-pin DIMM slots that can support up to 384GB
RDIMM/384GB LRDIMM/96GB UDIMM DDR3 memory. The memory interface
supports speed up to 800/1066/1333/1600 MHz. The TYAN®S7045 not only
empowers you in today’s demanding IT environment but also offers a scalable 32
and 64-bit computing environment of a smooth path for future application
upgradeability. All of these rich feature sets provide the S7045 with the power and
flexibility to meet demanding requirements for today’s IT environments.
