any conductive material.
• No lubrication is recommended or required.
• Do not attempt to repair the unit or replace parts.
Unauthorized repairs will void warranty.
• If jump starter requires service, contact Uline
Customer Service at 1-800-295-5510.
• Do not open the jump starter unit’s case, as there
are no user-serviceable parts; take the unit to
a qualified service person if repair is required.
Opening and closing the unit could cause a fire or
electric shock.
• Check vehicle battery terminals before using the
jump starter; clean them if necessary.

WARNING! Working in the vicinity of a lead-
acid battery is dangerous. Batteries generate
explosive gases during normal battery
operation. It is important to follow these
instructions each time you use this device.
• Wear safety goggles whenever working around lead
acid batteries.
• Wear gloves and protective clothing.
• Consider having someone assist when working near
a lead acid battery.
• Have plenty of fresh water and soap nearby for
use if battery acid contacts skin, clothing or eyes.
If battery acid contacts skin or clothing, wash
immediately with soap and water.
• Avoid touching eyes while working with battery.
Airborne particles may get into eyes. If acid enters
eye, immediately flood eye with running cold water
for at least 10 minutes. Get immediate medical
attention.
• Remove all metal articles such as rings, bracelets,
necklaces and watches when working with a lead
acid battery. A lead acid battery can produce a
short-circuit current high enough to weld these items
to a metal surface, causing a severe burn.
• Take care not to drop metal tool or other metal
onto the battery. Metal may cause sparking or
short circuit the battery or another electrical device.
Sparking may cause an explosion.
• Never smoke or allow a spark or flame in the vicinity
of a battery or engine.
• Do not permit the internal battery of the unit to
freeze.
• Never attempt to charge a frozen battery.
• Never allow clamps to touch together or come into
contact with the same piece of metal.

FAULT/ERROR CODES
Over-Discharged Battery Protection –
Fault/Error Code: F01
• During the normal operation of this unit, if the
voltage drops below a safe point, the error code
F01 will display.
• Plug jump starter into a charging source and
recharge the internal battery.
Low Temperature Protection – Fault/Error Code: F02
• When the core temperature on the surface of the
battery drops below 32°F, the unit stops working. The
error code F02 will display.
• Bring jump starter indoors and allow it to warm at
room temperature. Once battery temperature is
above 32°F unit will operate again.
Overheat Protection – Fault/Error Code: F03
• When the temperature on the surface of the battery
exceeds 131°F, the unit will stop working to prevent
damage to the internal battery.
• The error code F03 will display and flash until the
unit is cool enough to use again.
• The unit should not operate or be subjected to
temperatures at or above 518°F.
Overload Protection – Fault/Error Code: F04
• If a user attempts to start a vehicle’s engine whose
cranking current is higher than the rated current of
the jump starter, the unit will stop cranking and an
error code F04 will display.
• The unit will enter into COOLING mode and a
second attempt can be made once cooled.
Reverse Polarity – Fault/Error Code: F05
• Once the engine start button is pressed, the unit will
shut down and the error code F05 will display. This
occurs if the unit senses that the clamps are not
connected positive (+) to positive battery post and
negative (–) to negative battery post.
• Recheck connections and connect correctly.
WARNING! This protection is disabled when
using Override Mode.
Short Circuit Protection – Fault/Error Code: F06
• Once the engine start button is pressed, the unit will
shut down and the error code F06 will display if the
clamps are short circuited, connected to each other
or there is a dead short.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Backward Current Protection – Fault/Error Code: 0000
• Once the engine has been started, the unit will
turn off after five seconds of sensing large current
charging, typically due to the initial alternator surge,
which can be greater than 50 amps.
• After the engine starts, disconnect the black clamp (–)
and then the red clamp (+).
Over-Charge Protection – Fault/Error Code: 0000
• Once the battery is fully charged, the charging
circuit automatically senses full charge and turns off
charging.
• Remove charge cord, and press and hold power
button to turn off unit.
Overloaded USB Output Port – Fault/Error Code: 0000
• If the unit senses a current overload from either of
these ports, the unit will flash fault/error code 0000
and turn off completely.
• Remove USB device and discontinue use of device
with this unit.
